Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1998
Steve is currently a Captain for United Airlines and Sherry is a retired Management Consultant. They grew up next door to each other, here in Southern Oregon, have been happily married 40 years, and have family living and working here in Medford. Both are graduates of The University of Oregon and are season ticket holders for DUCK FOOTBALL. They have Navy in their background and adventure in their future, as they travel extensively, play bridge and golf, and love to entertain travelers. Having lived 18 years in Lake Tahoe, they enjoy yearly trips to Crater Lake for a snow fix!
Why the Owner Chose Medford
We are both from the Rogue Valley and moved here, next door to each other, in 1957. Since then we have lived in Eugene, Florida, Texas, the San Francisco Bay Area and in Incline Village at Lake Tahoe for 18 years. We have family here and needed our own accommodations when visiting. We moved back to Medford permanently in 2005. We have our LOG HEAVEN close to town but out far enough to enjoy peace and quiet, birds, animals, nature at it's best where it is always green with forested mountain views.
The Unique Benefits of this Log House
Twenty different types of birds frequent the feeders. Water features bring animals close. Peace emminates from the decks as you enjoy spectacular views of countryside. A furnished log home is on a different wavelength of enjoyment due to its non-standard rooms and quality materials. A hammock allows one to lie back and read a book before getting in the hottub for a well deserved soak. Forested scenery blocks out the white noise of town. Rest and relaxation abound at Log Heaven.

Positive Rating
I thought I had died and gone to heaven, then I realized I had gone to LOG HEAVEN! Fabulous property! Cozy quilts and teddy bears add to the country decor of this spectacular rural home. Fully furnished and all the amenities made this very convenient.Location is ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of "town white noise". Highly reccommend using this tranquill location as a base from which to operate while investigating all Southern Oregon has to offer.
Positive Rating
Visiting Oregon from the East coast, we headed down I-5 to find this quaint, spacious, and very upscale log home. We stayed in the downstairs Vintner's Room with a cozy gas log stove to take off the chill. A full bath off our room and private entrance made this an ideal stay. Schroeders are great hosts and we feel like we made new friends! We will tell our friends to seek out Log Heaven!
