My husband and I took our four teenagers to this beach house and had a great time. There are tons of restaurants around the area and lots to do. The house is so nice and roomy. The pool table is a lot of fun, and the big-screen tv has a satellite dish or cable with lots of channels. There is wifi in the house that makes things much easier! The house isn't the most modern style I've ever stayed in, but it's super nice and has everything you'd need. If you have little kids you will find everything -- high chair, cribs, booster seats, etc. There are also extra blankets and pillows, the owners have really tried to think of every little possible need, which is very nice. The laundry room is just the icing on the cake. We loved being right on the beach ... it's just a beautiful spot that isn't crowded at all. You can walk just one mile down the beach if you want to hit the busy stuff around Pier 60. Had a blast!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

What a wonderful home you have! We vacation twice a year to Clearwater Beach and your home is by far the nicest, most accomodating and most convenient home that we have ever stayed in. Thank you again for everything! WE WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE BACK!!!

Wow! We have had an awesome Thanksgiving! Thanks Carol & Barry for sharing your beach home with us. We spent most of our time on the beach and playing in the water and building sandcastles. :) We hate to leave!

Thank you for letting us stay at your home. It is beautiful! We had a really great time. The pool table and the fireplace were very handy on the days we stayed in. We loved Cooters Restaurant - we all had the all you can eat crab legs, yum! We were lucky to see the dolphins right from the house a few times. That was very exciting for the kids! We would definately come back and recommend this place to others! Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your beach house. The views are spectacular! It was great watching the sunsets every evening and also saw dolphins! We enjoyed the pool table and the board games. Also Scott enjoyed playing the piano. (He is currently going to school for classical piano). Thank you again for providing the PERFECT place for our family to make everlasting memoiries!!

This was our first visit to Clearwater Beach and we had so much fun. The weather was stunning and the Mears home was ideal for us. We have two young children and it was wonderful to be directly on the beach,. Making snacks, meals and managing naps was effortless. We were happy to be far from the maddening crowd down the beach around Pier 60. We were in a quiet neighborhood of families, thankfully far from the spring break culture. That said, with little children this home was not within walking distance of town for us, but this was an asset because it meant lots of privacy and quiet. We went to the aquarium in Tampa and loved it and attended a Phillies spring training game, which was great. Carol, the owner was responsive to our e-mails and even got a crib at our request, Unfortunately, the crib was better suited for an infant than a toddler, but the effort to make this happen was much appreciated. The house is well stocked with all the info you could need about the area and the beach toys were abundant, so there was little we needed to bring. There was a high chair, booster seat... everything you could possibly need. The restaurants are laid back and good, not great, but perfectly adequate for our family. We ordered out every night. The house was clean, well appointed.... be careful on the upstairs deck for splinters. Enjoy the dolphins. We saw them every day from the house. What a treat!

We stayed at this beautiful house recently for a week. The location is outstanding and the photos do not do the house justice. It is lterally on the beach and the views from the master bedroom and decks are straight out of a magazine. The owner is delightful to deal with. She even organised bikes for our family and left fresh fruit and basic supplies for our arrival. There are loads of great restaurants close by and it is a lovely walk along the beach to Pier 60. The house has a plentiful supply of towels and the decor is all of a very high standard. We even had dolphins swim by as we were relaxing on the terrace at the back of the house. We looked at many houses before choosing one and we definitely made the right choice. There can be no better house on Clearwater Beach. It is an amazing house and when we save up some more money we would hope to return. Thanks for one of the best weeks we have ever had.

Loved the location - directly on the beach, with soft white sand and beautiful turqouise water, and the house was incredible. This was our first time of staying in a house right on the beach! We felt like millionaires staying here! Enjoyed walking the beach daily -- early in the morning to look for shells, and in the evening as the sun was setting. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we plan on returning next year.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
