Description
The Hotel des Artistes is one of the most unique boutique resorts in Mexico.
Set footsteps away from the famous El Anclote Beach in Punta de Mita, the hotel is comprised of 12 luxury ocean front condominiums, but with all the amenities of a first class resort hotel.
The hotel takes its name from the world famous Cafe des Artistes (New York, Puerto Vallarta & Punta de Mita) whose newest location is at the beach level of the hotel. Recently, the hotel gained recognition by the prestigious “Boutique Hotels of Mexico” network.
The Beach
El Anclote Beach is the westernmost beach on the Bay of Banderas.
Its south facing orientation gives the beach full sun all day. The gentle breakers off the beach are perfect or swimming and the waters off the jetty are a favorite for surfers and kayakers. Its location at the edge of the bay and protected surf make it the best place for yachts to anchor and is where fishing and whale watching charters come to pick up guests.
The beach features “restaurant row” with a wide array of food and price points all accessible without having to take off your flip flops! Highly unusual for the area you can stroll along the beach for miles past some of the most exquisite homes on the Pacific Coast.
Amenities
The hotel has two pools; one at beach level and one in the fabulous rooftop terrace and garden. Both feature food and beverage service from the Cafe des Artistes and the rooftop can be used for special dinners or parties.
There is a state of the art gym with a full length window overlooking the ocean. Adjacent to the gym is a full service spa and there are a full complement of water toys on the beach. The concierge can arrange whale watching, fishing, scuba and nature trips. There are several excellent golf courses nearby including the new Greg Norman signature course about 4 miles away. Pretty much anything you might want to do on the beach is available...just ask!
