Perfection

Guest: Kelly (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Date of Stay: 04/13/11 Review Submitted: 05/04/11

I stayed at Casa Isla for four nights on a girls' trip to celebrate our 30th birthdays. It could not have been more perfect. The view was incredible, and we spent pretty much every day just sitting by the pool enjoying it. Although hard to believe, the pictures honestly did not do this house justice. It was also great to be able to call home for free and check in with kids, husbands, work, etc. We found some amazing restaurants on the island, and Ron (the house manager) will set you up with a taxi driver, snorkeling, or anything else that you need. Kit was extremely friendly and very easy to work with. I definitely hope to go back some day!

Owner response:Thanks, Kelly. I'm so happy you enjoyed yourselves! Kit

One week is not enough!!!!!!

Our family (5 months old to 63 years old) just got back from spending an amazing week at Casa Isla. We had done major research on the island as well as the property and our only complaint is that we were only there for one week. Casa Isla was perfect for us.As soon as you open the front door, you know you made the right decision. . . .beautiful space and beautiful view straight thru the movable wall of windows to the infinity pool and turquoise water and beyond views of Cancun. The bedrooms were large enough for cribs and all had plenty of closet and storage space. The living areas let us all spread out but still be together. We had all our meals outside at the large dining room table by the pool and spent lots of time swinging ourselves with the babies in the chairs right outside the living room. All the bathrooms were very spacious and it was nice to have a washer and dryer at our disposal. The roof top deck was a perfect place to start or end the day. The pool is the focal point of the outdoor area and part of it had a shallow shelf that was perfect for our 15 month old grandson. We loved being on the south side of the island. . . .quiet and serene, but also loved jumping into our golf cart and spending time at North Beach, Zama Beach Club, Hidalgo (downtown area) and trying out lots of restaurants. . . .loved Fredy's, Mango's, Olivia's, Picus to name a few. Actually we even stopped at places only frequented by locals and they were great too. Although we really enjoyed exploring the whole island, Casa Isla was perfect in so many ways, you could easily never leave it.

Mexican Heaven!!!!!

My husband and I and our family just returned from Isla Mujeres and we stayed at Mexican Zen. It was absolutely amazing and the pictures do not do it justice! Except for the color of the water and pool, they really do look that blue! The house also seemed alot bigger in person than in the pictures. We had 8 staying in the house and we all had plenty of room so no one seemed like they were on top of eachother! The outside living area and pool area was perfect, and my favorite part was laying on the roof at night listening to the waves! It was also great to get away from all the downtown life and come home to such an amazing house, it was like a getaway all on its own!! I would recommend this property to anyone!!!!

We came for my daughters wedding, and couldn't believe that the picture on the internet actually didn't do the place any justice! It is much more beautiful in person-nicest place I've ever stayed. And the property mgr Ron was the greatest. He was available for us 24-7 for any questions or needs we had. Best place hands down on the island.

We stayed in this spectacular home for 3 weeks and it truly felt like "home" but with a MAGNIFICENT view! This is a great house with all the amenities of your own home. We loved every moment here and will certainly look for any excuse to return! The house managers were always helpful and you simply can't get a bad meal in town due to the fabulous recommendations we were provided with. We had a great time!

A little bit of heaven

We rented Casa Isla for a family reunion (ages 11 to 75) and loved it. The house was divine - tasteful and spacious -- and we loved the stunning views. The location is perfect too, within walking distance of a few shops, a national park and restaurant. It was a little bit of heaven for all of us!

Mega dittos to all the above positive comments! What a fabulous vacation retreat! The pictures fail to do justice to this tastefully and beautifully appointed vacation home - large and comfortable indoor and outdoor sitting and dining areas whether one desires to be in pool, hot tub or shade. We were struck by the quiet ambience and privacy of inside and outside. The prime location of Casa Isla has remarkable water views in all directions, especially a marvelous sunset over the bay and distant Cancun. A final plus is the free long distance phone service to the US and to numerous foreign countries.

Casa Isla is gorgeous! Our family of six (2 adults/4 children) enjoyed a week there after Christmas 2009. The house is both breathtaking and functional. The location is perfect; when we wanted peace and quiet, we had it. When we wanted some adventure, we headed into town. The owners are wonderful and really helpful as are Ron and Gaby, the local managers. We highly recommend this wonderful house and look forward to staying there again.

Gorgeous and spacious luxurious get away. High end interior and furnishings leave you feeling like you are at a spa. Breathtaking views from multiple vantage points make this a perfect place to relax, enjoy and rejuvenate. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

Casa Isla is the perfect get away. Open the front door and you step into paradise. You’re immediately greeted by a bank of windows that look out over the turquoise ocean and Cancun in the distance. All the rooms are spacious, inviting, and well decorated (fabulous colors and decor). It’s great to relax by the pool or have your morning coffee watching the sunrise on the upstairs deck. There's a fully equipped kitchen and an indoor and outdoor dining area. Getting around is easy…there are restaurants in walking distance (Casa O’s) or a quick ride into town via taxi or you can rent a golf cart or scooter. You won’t want to leave, I didn’t

I stayed at Casa Isla with a group of girlfriends. The place was perfect and beautiful. It has everything you could need and then some. The views are incredible through out the entire house. There were lots of wonderful places for us to sit and chat inside and outside. The infinity pool and hot tub got a lot of use and praise. I highly recommend this place.

I have been to Isa Mujeres 13 times and have always stayed at nice places. Casa Isa is by far a pure luxury home built to maximize all views of the ocean and let every bit of natural light into the home. The many outdoor living areas truly lets you enjoy the great weather and views of the island. I found myself not leaving for the normal trips into to town everyday. There is nothing this home doesn't have. Having a phone with free long distance and wifi was a nice treat. Most of the time I am usually at a pay phone or an internet cafe which is an inconvienence. The pictures of the home were great, however it was even better in person. If this were my home I wouldnt change a thing about it! Will be back again! Kim Hardee

I visited Casa Isla for 4 wonderful, relaxing days and nights in June 2009. The island is beautiful and relaxing...not at all like Cancun. The house itself has 360% views of the gulf - it's truly breathtaking. The design, architecture, and amenities of the property are like a 5-star hotel...I was a little nervous that it would potentially be compromised given the remoteness, but absolutely not. Getting around is a breeze - I recommend renting a scooter or golf cart. If not, cabs are cheap. There is plenty to do, or you can do nothing and stay happily self contained on the property itself...your choice. The locals are very friendly and most spoke english. I would definitely go back!

Casa Isla is an absolute paradise, a million miles away from any cares and concerns of everyday life. Sitting in the indoor or outdoor living room or the outdoor dining room (or just taking a shower!), it is almost impossible to take one's eyes off the incredibly blue water. How can the color of the infinity pool match so perfectly? Short walks to the nearby eating places made everything especially easy. This is a marvelous and luxurious destination for relaxing and re-energizing.

Truly an amazing place!

The sunsets off the outdoor dining room, the sound of the waves lapping on the beach below, with Cancun sparkling in the distant background, all contribute to the perfection of the location. The new, spacious home is cozy and comfortable and a wonderful place to relax and forget your worries. A wonderful home with everything we needed to come back to after traveling around the island, seeing the sites, meeting the local people, shopping, and enjoying fun Mexican cuisine and atmosphere. I highly recommend this awesome place and definitely plan to return again soon. We weren't sure where the infinity pool ends and the ocean views begin.
