The entire apartment has been recently remodeled with careful attention to restore the apartment to its original classic beauty, while providing all modern amenities and conveniences. It has been professionally and tastefully decorated with many carefully chosen antiques from the Paris fleamarkets.

Just blocks from the Seine on the Left Bank and the heart of St Germain des Pres, the apartment is within easy walking distance to the Louvre, the D’Orsay museum, the Rodin Sculpture Garden, Luxembourg Gardens, St. Sulpice, the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, the famed Bon Marché and Grand Epicerie, and much more. St Germain's trendy boutiques, art galleries, bistros and famous cafes (perfect for people watching!) are all within blocks of the apartment. Conveniences that make your stay easy and more enjoyable, such as grocery, pharmacies, ATMs, bakeries, cheese and wine shops, etc. are right outside your door. The apartment is directly across the street from the Rue du Bac metro stop and 3 blocks from the Saint Germain des Prés station. A taxi stand, bus line and bicycle rental are also nearby. One of the best open air markets in Paris is just one street over on Blvd. Raspail.

The apartment is in a beautiful classic Haussmann building on the 4th floor (5th floor American) with an elevator. At over 1300 square feet, the apartment is spacious and bright. It has ten foot tall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling double french windows in almost every room. A balcony spans the kitchen, dining and living rooms, from which you can enjoy the stunning church view, or sit out at the cafe table and have your morning coffee and croissant or evening glass of wine.

Three large double French doors flood the living and dining room with light. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating for everyone to relax and unwind after a day of sight-seeing and shopping. The apartment has exquisite traditionally Parisian wall and ceiling moldings and antique hardwood herringbone floors, all painstakingly restored to their original beauty. The three marble fireplaces, in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom, are original to the apartment. Gorgeous chandeliers grace almost every room. The apartment is equipped with free wireless Internet, a large new plasma TV and DVD player, and free long distance phone service to most landlines.

The kitchen is large and spacious, a rarity in Paris. It features custom-made cabinetry, glass-fronted cabinets, honed natural stone countertops, beautiful crown molding, an original marble fireplace and a gorgeous antique French crystal chandelier. It is fully equipped with all new appliances including refrigerator/freezer, oven with convection, separate microwave, state of the art "piano" style gas range, full size dishwasher, Nespresso cappuccino machine, filtered coffee maker, and toaster. It is also fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. The brand new washer and dryer are discretely housed in a pantry closet, out of sight but conveniently accessible.

The apartment can sleep up to 8 comfortably. The master bedroom is large and bright. It retains its original marble fireplace and mirror, and is furnished entirely with French antiques. The master also has en suite bathroom for complete privacy. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed, overhead sconces for reading, and built-in cabinetry to keep reading glasses, glass of water, or alarm clock handy. The charming third bedroom has a twin daybed with trundle to sleep two persons. It is decorated with lavender toile bedding, plush pillows and a quaint child’s chair. It also has a small desk and chair to work or write postcards home. Two additional guests can be accommodated on the living room sofa, which makes out into a comfortable queen-sized bed. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms, all recently remodeled with beautiful new tile, fixtures and towel warmers. The water pressure in both showers are excellent, and there is a full-size soaking tub for relaxing baths.

The entire apartment has been completely renovated yet retains all the character and glamour of a classic Parisian apartment.
