This spot is truly magical. I loved waking up every morning and looking out of the bedroom window at the fog covered hills. It was private and peaceful. It was the perfect place to bring our kids. They had plenty of entertainment. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The drive to the house was beautiful. I would stay here again in a heart beat. It was a wonderful home away from home. Thank you.

Usually when you go somewhere you expect to not have something vital when you get there. Like a good pillow, or big towels, or some kitchen gadget. I have to say that we were missing nothing!!! Tons of huge towels, excellent pillows (better than mine at home...) and everything you can think of in the kitchen. Everything was straightforward and felt like home. The views are magnificent and changed spectacularly with the weather. The kids - three 12 year olds - had a blast. Lots of exploring and the play structure kept them entertained. I would love to return regularly.

Everyone has their favorite season. Mine is Autumn. We arrived at the Santa Rosa Airport to find spectacular Fall weather and lots of beautiful leaves. The drive to the house was easy and scenic, and the house was the topper. Fantastically appointed, awesome views, everything we could think of right at our fingertips. We made a fire and had a glass of wine in the family room; we made Thanksgiving dinner and didn't want for a thing and we slept like babies. This is a wonderful spot for a holiday. And by the way, the beds, linens and pillows are so comfy that we want to know where they are from. For real, there was nothing more we could have asked for. The house was spotlessly clean and the person who checked us in gave us a ton of tips on restaurants, winerys to visit, coffee roasters and cheese shops. Proximity to town and to winerys was easy - there are more great restaurants in town than you can shake a stick at - and then we got to go back to the house. We really didn't want to leave. I know this is gushy, but it's all for real. We will return as soon as we can, and we want to bring more family with us.

We had an incredible 3 days at this wonderful property! There were 9 of us - 3 grandchildren 3, 5 and 7. The kids were so busy with the Bocce Ball, Art Room, Playhouse and swimming pool that the only TV on was the guys watching sports. It is such a comfortable house and oh, so peaceful. All kinds of nooks and crannies to sneak off and read a book in peace and quiet. Very clean and well taken care of. Very safe and secure. The property manager, Mimi, was a delight to work with. The location was perfect to do side trips to downtown Healdsburg and wine tasting. Bistro Ralph's is a wonderful spot for martini's and delicious food. I highly recommend this property and hope to return soon.

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday at this house and had an incredible time. The outside area was beautiful and our kids loved playing in the yard and the little art house out back. We enjoyed many sunsets with good food and wine and the outside kitchen made it even more special. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was nice to have the separate house for those who did not want to be woken up early from the children. And the location to downtown Healdsburg and vineyards was perfect - close enough to run and get a great coffee from the Flying Goat but far enough to feel like you're in the country.

We have stayed in many VRBOs and this one is by far above and beyond... the house is immaculate. Everything you need is on site and the owners have obviously thought of everything to make your stay perfect, including plush bathrobes, an outdoor shower with shampoo, thick towels, a great assortment of DVDs, toys for the kids, and a mega fancy bbq. In addition to the gorgeous pool and spa that overlook the valley, there's a bocce ball court, ping pong table, foosball table, and a wooden play structure for the kids. The beds were so comfortable that everyone in our two-family party raved about what great nights' sleep we were getting. The property is in a very quiet and lush area, with few neighbors. It's obviously a high-end neighborhood so the setting is beautiful. We saw tons of bicyclists riding around and we all went on great morning runs. Healdsburg turned out to be so much more charming and less crowded than Sonoma. The downtown area has a gorgeous, tree-lined square. Free parking is plentiful. The bakery and Flying Goat coffee shop were favorites, as were the candy store (Powell's), frozen yogurt store, and two bookstores. Great shopping area for cothes, gifts and food. Big John's market was the best place to get the most delicious marinated meats for your bbq dinner. Good sushi too. And tons cheaper than the Oakville grocery. There's also a Safeway close by, as well as wonderul wineries. We also went to River's Edge, a canoe and kayak rental place just down the road. The people there could not have been nicer or gone more out of their way to make ure we had fun. If you are seeking quiet, luxury, relaxation, fun, then this place is for you! It's worth every penny.

My wife and I and our two children had a perfect stay. The house is wonderful; our kids had sooooo much to do and we never heard them say they were bored. The guest cootage was a great place for in-laws to relax in.. We loved everything. Thank you.

We enjoyed a splendid long weekend at Dry Creek Moderna for a family party to celebrate a 90th birthday. What a time, and we accomodated a group that ranged from 3 months to 92 years old. Everyone had a blast. Beautiful house, great location, pool and outdoor lounging with unbelievable wine country views! Better than the photos and our hosts were unexpectedly gracious. We are coming back!

We rented Dry Creek Moderna and loved it. It is an excellent lay-out especially for young children and it has awesome views. The owners have kept it in immaculate conidition and they (along with the property manager)were a pleasure to work with. It does not feel like a "rental" at all! We highy recommend it.

FANTASTIC property!! Incredible location!! The overall feel of this home is very warm and inviting. We had all the amenities we needed to have a flawless weekend - including the ability to make chocolate chip cookies at the last minute! The owners are wonderful to work with and added those very personal touches that make you feel like you are staying in someone's home; flowers, beautiful linens and bedding, local soaps, a fully stocked kitchen, books & magazines to read - wait, where was the wine locker key again?? j/k :) I HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away to Wine Country! I can't wait to go back!

The photos do not do any justice. The house is in "mint" condition. There is a well stocked kitchen, amazing pool & jacuzzi, and an outside / built in kitchen. It's a perfect get away venue for couples (and a family with kids). The owner, Christopher is very responsive and helpful; so is his property manager, Mimi. I'd return in a heart beat!

We had a most wonderful stay at Dry Creek Moderna in March, 2009 with our 4 adult children and two guests. The home was spacious, comfortable, welcoming, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped. The location was marvelous -- quiet, gorgeous views, convenient to town and many wineries, and well-situated for the members of our group who wanted to go biking. While we did not actually use the pool because the weather was a bit cool, we did use the hot tub and the fire pit -- great fun. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely rent it again, ourselves.

What an incredible home for hosting family and friends. If only life could be like this everyday! Unfortunately for us, we only booked four nights at Moderna. We wish we had stayed for at least a week! It was a perfect escape for our family with three toddlers, and my sister-in-law, & in-laws were all with us. There is even a separate guest house comfortably close yet far enough away so our dear friends, another couple, could join us and have their own romantic guest cottage. If you are interested in architecture, Moderna is quite simply a work of art. Perfection with every detail, nothing is over done and yet nothing is missing. The outdoor kitchen is every chef's dream, complete with whimsical French linens for setting the most beautiful table for al fresco dining. The gardens are gorgeous, immaculately kept and at the same time in harmony with the natural flora, sweeping bushes of lavender are everywhere. The vistas across Dry Creek allow your mind to wander. . . but why, life simply cannot get any better than right where you are! If you are a young family, your children will delight in the play structure, geckos and bocce ball, not to mention the gorgeous pool and hot tub that can be securely covered for their safety. If you're a couple. . . the outdoor shower is not to be missed! We never left Dry Creek and sent home at least a dozen cases of wine! We will remember this vacation forever. We will be back. Thank you Moderna for showing us the Dry Creek way of life!

My family and I (5 of us) stayed at Dry Creek Moderna over a holiday weekend last year and the accommodations were 5 star. The location is close to town, restaurants and the top wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend it to anyone interested in pampering themselves in Wine Country.
