Amazing View, Clean and Comfortable Unit, Beautiful Beach, Great Value... Would/Will Rent Again

Had a great time in Provo and an enjoyable stay at the Alex. The owners were friendly and relatively responsive. The view from the balcony was better than we expected... patio furniture was clean and comfortable. The Alex had NO watersports although both the Resort and this VRBO owner assured us before we arrived that watersports were available... that was a huge disappointment for us, but after we left, the Alex bought kayaks (so it shouldn't be a problem in the future) and this off-island owner apologized and offered a discount on a future stay... couldn't ask for more. With watersports... this would have been a 5 star review! The Unit was bigger than we imagined. The two of us were very comfortable for over a week. There were a few odd things, like the 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no paper towels when we checked-in (we would have thought the cleaner hadn't arrived, but there were linens drying in the dryer), the teeny-tiny ants that would randomly appear on the kitchen counter (keep everything in the fridge or a ziplock and you should be fine) and the safe that refused to unlock (helpful hint: Use a code and not a credit card swipe and you should be fine). Those minor inconveniences were outweighed by the cold AC, the outdoor BBQ and the beauty of Grace Bay. We rented a car from Grace Bay Car Rentals... Excellent... and did a tour with Caicos Dream Tours... not impressed. Next time we will try renting a skiff from Abuv it All or the new company Island Vibes (we're told this was CDT's most popular captain who left to open a competing business). Parking was never a problem. Location on Grace Bay was good... walking distance to snorkeling at the Bight Reef (Coral Gardens) and a few restaurants. Staff at the Alex were welcoming and friendly. Pool was nice. Chairs and umbrellas were a bit of a problem, but only because other guests "saved" them for hours... not really the resort's fault. Wifi was iffy, but the internet worked well with a cord (ask the front desk... a bit short, you'll have to stay on the bed)... speaking of the bed, the comforter needs a good soak! In summary: This Unit and the Alex is a great value. This Unit is generally well maintained... it was safe, nicely located in the development and the Owners are conscientious and responsible. Would/Will Rent Again.

Our first visit to TCI was everything we hoped for and more. Having visited other Caribbean Islands we knew the beaches and weather would be warm and inviting.However, this Alexandra Resort Condo unit provided us with a great room with a view,( both ocean and pool), the best beach ever for both relaxing and swimming, and great location for exploring the island . The Mango Reef Restaurant provided us with great views of the beach and sunsets while dining, as well as most favored by us and locals for its awesome food! This is the total package! Great,prompt communication with the owners made our first experience renting privately hassle free and exactly what we expected. No hidden surprises or "extras" along the way. Only the treasures you'll find on the deserted beaches of Middle Caicos, the delightful eating spots wherever your day takes you, or a relaxing lunch on the private balcony await you. Can't wait to return to a very comfortable,clean and beautifully situated property.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed in this condo at The Alexandra for a week and loved it. The owner is very helpful (great restaurant recommendations, etc.) and easy to work with. The beach at Grace Bay is everything the reviews have said - simply amazing. The pictures look great but simply don't portray how beautiful the resort and the beach are - you need to see them in person! The property is first class and in a great location, and the unit is very well maintained. All of these made for an incredibly relaxing and fun vacation!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
