A great location in Wailea and a very nice Condo. Shopping and dining within walking distance. Golf just ten minutes away. The unit was as advertised. The photos are an accurate depiction of the condo which is very nicely appointed. The 2nd bedroom is as nice as the master except for the view. Every kitchen utensil imaginable was available. I highly recommend and will attempt to stay there on my next visit to Maui. Gerald, Fairview, Texas

Why the Owner Chose Wailea Ekolu
When I asked Shirlene why she chose to buy this unit she replied, "I've been an investor for over 25 years and there is no better location for stunning views in Ekolu Village. It's quiet, peaceful and just a short walk to the Shops at Wailea, great restaurants and the beach." I have to admit that you can't beat this view. The golf course is your whole backyard and if you're a golfer you can even chip balls out to the 15th hole and practice your putting after 6pm or pull your cart up to the back lanai and stop for lunch before finishing your game. Shhhh, don't tell anybody I said that.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
This unit is great for entertaining. It's spacious and very very elegant. The chef's kitchen is stunning and everything you need is waiting for you. The furniture is comfortable and unique to the island. Loved loved loved the big screen TV and surround sound when I wanted to watch a game or the kids wanted to see a movie after dark.
You really should take advantage of this opportunity because when Shirlene returns home she won't be renting it anymore.
Located 5 minutes from Makena Beach voted the most beautiful beach in the islands. The lava fields are located in that area too. Something you just can't miss.
Located about 20 minutes north of Wailea. This is our main airport and the call letters are OOG.

The Diamond Suite is Shirlene's home and 1 of 4 units she has remodeled & decorated in Maui's Wailea Resort.
Each unit has it's own flair for romance & she never hesitates to giggle when she says, "It was both challenging & fun choosing just the right furniture, colors and textures to bring the unit personalities to life. It is so difficult to find just the right thing on the island." As a result much of the furniture was imported from CA. "It's all about comfort and class."
In Dec. 2008 Shirlene & Deani, her 9 yr old mini doxie, temporarily relocated to
San Jose, CA to work with her employees at Signing Pro. Her goal is to put the proper people in place to take the business to the next level, manage the daily affairs, & allow her to return to her home on the island. "It's been exciting watching my plan take shape", she said with a big smile "and the company is already beginning to thrive and expand. We are definitely experiencing growing pains but once we get over this hump I'll be able to go home & work remotely again."
Signing Pro is a nationwide company that assists borrowers with signing & notarizing their loan documents. "When I started the business in the mid 90's I was living on a meager salary & figured that if I could get 7 appointments a week my income would be the same w/ room to expand. In 6 months it grew to 7 appts a day, 7 days a week so I trained & brought on my 2 sons. Then a Title Co. asked if I would service their county causing me to train more notaries & the rest is history." Today she has over 23,000 notary, signing agents nationwide & 9 employees in the SJ call center.
"There’s a huge difference between the lull of the waves & the hum of the traffic. I long for my return home & the view from my lanai." was Shirlene's parting comment. "I hope that my guests love it there as much as I do."

This property more than met my expectations. It is beautifully appointed and fully equipped with anything you may need while enjoying the island - from beach toys, chairs, fins and snorkels, floats, umbrellas, coolers etc. The beds are extremely comfortable and plush - I truly felt pampered. I stayed here for my daughter's wedding at the Kea Lani and it was a fabulous place to have a few guests over to enjoy the view and ambiance. It is in a superb location within walking distance of shopping and dining. I highly recommend this unit. Can't wait to return. Thanks, Shirlene!

This was our 12th annual family vacation to Maui with our two kids (adults) and our 2nd time in this unit. Very nice to have the updated bathrooms/kitchen and tasteful/warm decor. Can't beat that ocean view. We've made a habit of taking our drinks out to the 15th green to plop and watch the sunset around 7pm each evening. Love the quiet atmosphere in Ekolu, feels very private and relaxing. Thanks so much.

An awesome vacation rental! The condo has been recently renovated and tastefully decorated – Shirlene has successfully created a home away from home. The condo is well stocked with everything you can think of and we are also pleased to find beach gear – including umbrellas, lounge chairs and a cooler. The condo is a quick walk from one of the pools on the complex (which was very quiet!) and it is a short walk down the hill to the Shops of Wailea and the hotels... Mala at the Marriot is a great place for sunset cocktails or dinner. The Whalers General Store has a few groceries, if you don’t want to drive into Kihei. We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Wailea – we are already dreaming of our next Maui vacation!

We had a great time ,your place had everthing it said and more.Watching the birds in the morning with a cup of coffee was great.The only thing that was a problem,was not having our own closet. Upon arrival at our condo we were delighted that it was even more attractive than the internet photos portrayed. The ocean and golf course views and sunsets from the lanai were spectacular. It was beautifully and expensively decorated with Italian style marble, granite and fittings and lovely furniture far more upmarket than your average rental property. It's very convenient, only a five or ten minute walk down to the Shops and beach. The kitchen had a vast range of cooking equipment and plates, platters etc and the bathrooms were pure luxury with all the little soaps, shampoos etc as you would find in a hotel. There was also loads of snorkelling gear and beach towels too. I would highly recommend this condo.

Just got back from our 2nd stay at this great property. Wailea is just such an amazing place and if you want a laid back, very relaxing, quiet and very comfortable stay in a lovely condominium on golf course overlooking the whales (when in season) this is the place for you. When coming back to Wailea I would immediately book again as it has the best placement on the course, very near the shops, but away from street noise and still has a view. Additionally, the condo is stocked with everything you need. We had our 2 children, 6 and 3, and so having a kitchen and wonderful amenities and being on the ground floor was excellent. The only downsides (and very minor!) is that it is so serene at this beautiful location that I constantly found myself shushing my children often (as kids can be kids!). At this time of year, January, it seemed to us that these condos had mostly couples/adults and/or retirees, which is great - but I was hypersensitive about bothering any neighbors since it was just so wonderfully quiet. :) Additionally, although there is a wonderful flat screen TV with cable in the front room, we are a family that chooses to unwind after returning from the day (surfing, sand castles and adventuring) or after dinner/cocktails by watching different shows (cartoons vs. primetime etc) on TV and it would have been nice to have TVs in the bedrooms for those times... you can imagine we made due! We really enjoyed our stay! It IS wonderful and easy! I felt like it was our home away from home and I will return!! I will say that at the end of 5 days, my 6 year old was raring to go to a hotel for the excitement of a resort pool environment in Kaanapali. Our usual plan is to divide our time between the 2 places - so it works for us. Hope others enjoy as much as we did. Thanks Shirlene!

We stayed for 15 nights in January of 2011. The pictures on the website accurately depict the condo. It has been beautifully renovated and furnished. The location just up the hill from the Shops at Wailea is perfect! Could even walk to Wailea Beach if you wanted to. The Ekolu property is lush and maintained very well. The view of the ocean from the lanai is spectacular - we witnessed some beautiful sunsets! Great kitchen to cook in. The only thing that didn't work well was the air conditioning (76 F was the lowest possible setting). But we didn't end up really needing the A/C as we found the ceiling fans and cross ventilation from the windows were sufficient. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
