Our Australian-owned Alpine chalet is situated near the resort of Praz de Lys, on the edge of a nature reserve. This is one of the most picturesque areas in the Haute Savoie. It is ideal for families or friends to share holidays in, with swift access to Switzerland and Italy. Other places of interest such as Geneva, Evian, Thonon and Mont Blanc are within one hour's drive, with Montreux and Lausanne just a little further. The chalet makes an ideal base from which to explore numerous medieval villages on Lac Leman and Lac d'Annecy.
The 130 square meter chalet has been sympathetically restored, maintaining its original exposed wood beams throughout and featuring large picture windows which give breathtaking views across the valley to waterfalls and cliffs. Due to the chalet's altitude of 1100 meters, winter and spring brings an abundance of sunshine. The large and popular ski areas of Portes du Soleil and Flaine/Grand Massif are within a fifteen minute drive by car. Summer and autumn are a photographer's dream, with awe-inspiring views of Alpine mountains and meadows abundant with beautiful wild flowers. The contrasting colors of pine trees among the red and yellow deciduous trees are really something in autumn.
