Butte au Cailles (Place d'Italie ) - 13th district

This apartment is located in the 13th district, in the charming and authentic Parisian neighbourhood, named the Butte-aux-Cailles. The Butte-aux-Cailles is a small hill, covered in windmills up until the late 19th century. It's usually remembered as one of the strongholds of the Paris Commune of 1871, where the communards resisted the Versaillais troops until the bitter end (memorialized only by the Place de la Commune de Paris at the centre of the Butte).

The Butte-aux-Cailles today is "populaire" in the French sense, with co-op owned restaurants and a Socialist mayor, but there are also trendy bars attracting the type of people who wear sunglasses at night. Our apartment is at third floor of a walking up building.

It consists of a small entry, bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilette room. It is suitable for 3 adults or a family (parents and 2 children).

The bedroom has a queen size double bed, cupboard, drawers, an minor furnishing and the windows open on an internat court. The living room has two sofas (one of them is convertible), a large double closet, a dining table for 4 persons, tv.

The small kitchen offers all of the conveniences: cook top, fridge and refrigerator, coffeemaker, cooking utensils, and washing machine. The bathroom has shower, lavabo, towel dryer, hairdryer. The toilette/wc is in a separate room.

The nearest metro stations are Corvisart (line 6) and Place d'Italie (lines 5, 6 and 7).
