La Casita (the "little house") is a separate guest house on 3+ acres of property in the hills of West Austin. Enjoy hill country atmosphere, barbeque, pool, and views, while still within a 15 minute drive to downtown! La Casita is brand new and fully equipped, built in Texas ranch style with stained concrete floors and handpainted Mexican tiles. Enjoy your coffee or evening libations on the wide front porch, watching the native deer and roadrunners.
The house has one large bedroom with two queen sized beds (featuring new pillow top mattresses). A large loft area and office can accomodate 2 more on comfortable sleeper couches. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The comfortable living area features HDTV and a state of the art sound system and working fireplace, and an open kitchen with breakfast bar, all spilling onto the enormous front porch through a wall of antique french doors. La Casita is fully wired and has HDTV, an IPOD dock, inside and outside music system, and Wi-Fi internet. The kitchen offers a gas range, side-by-side fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, and is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and basic cooking equipment.
La Casita has a private entrance and parking behind the main house and the owners allow for ultimate privacy in the pool and yard area. Come stay with us when you are in town on business, enjoying the Austin music scene, or exploring central Texas (San Antonio - 1.5 hours, Houston - 2.5 hours, Dallas - 3 hours, Fredricksburg - 1.5 hours, Big Bend - 7 hours).

Great stay. Owners close by and accessible but gave us lots of privacy. Enjoyed the private pool, hammock, ping pong table, porch and deer prancing through the property. Easy 15-minute drive to downtown Austin. Easy access to Lake Travis as well. Entire family, even our little dog, enjoyed our stay. Thanks for sharing your lovely property.

Hubby and I stayed a week with our two labs. The secluded setting and super comfy beds guaranteed a great night's sleep. We were gently awakened each morning by warm sunshine streaming through the floor to ceiling windows in the main living area. You'll find all the technology you need, but we mostly enjoyed the front porch and sounds of nature. The landscaping is a beautiful representation of texas hill country built around a beautiful pool. Around dusk you can hear coyotes in the distance and we saw several deer roaming around. The affable owner is close by, but not too close. It's rare that my husband likes any place but home, but he said he could live at La Casita. It was a great place to stay and we look forward to a return visit. Tip for dog owners: The Turkey Creek Trail in Emma Long Park feature a 3 mile off-leash trail for dogs that laces the the creek. You will need to pick up pet waste. The dogs absolutely loved it!

We had a wonderful college reunion at the Casita. 5 of us stayed here very comfortably. It's extremely. clean and beautiful. Feels like a hill country escape even though restaurants, shopping, etc are just right around the way. The pool is such a bonus. The beds are so comfortable that we were tempted to throw them in the back of the truck and take them with us!! I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to the Austin area. The Casita EXCEEDED my expectations.

Beautiful "casita" with great windows and natural lighting, and wonderful tile and floors throughout. Very clean and well-kept. Great front porch provided breeze even in 100+ temperatures. Beautiful and clean pool. Pet friendly! A great stay!
