Hence, there’s no need to rent a car, as the historic town of Crested Butte is connected to the modern ski area (three miles away) by a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes. The house is located only two blocks from nearest shuttle stop. Nearly all of Crested Butte’s numerous restaurants and bars are one-to-three blocks away, and most of the best are within a block-and-a half walk. The nearest small grocery store is two blocks away, and the nearest large grocery store is 5 blocks away ( and is on the free schedule route as well). The Crested Butte Nordic Ski Center (with sledding hill and ice-skating rink attached) is five blocks from the house. This location is perfect for family members with divergent interests or for those who simply want to sample all that Crested Butte has to offer.
