Luxury ski chalet in the heart of the Colorado's Rocky Mountains. This historic home, originally built in 1900, was completely remodeled in 2008 and features state-of-the-art amenities in 4000 square feet - one of the largest homes in Crested Butte. Set deep in the central Rockies, the town of Crested Butte (8885 feet/ 2700 meters), a National Historic District, is located three miles from Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR), with world-class skiing (alpine & Nordic/cross-country), snowboarding, ice skating, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and fly-fishing at your doorstep. Skiers are served by a free shuttle bus that takes visitors from downtown Crested Butte to the ski mountain every 15 minutes until midnight. Your vacation home is located just one block from the town center's shops and restaurants, close to two ski shuttle stops, and is surrounded by stunning Rocky Mountain views in all directions. This dream holiday accommodation in southwestern Colorado sets the standard for an unforgettable family vacation memory.
Unbeatable convenience! Unlike many of the area's top luxury properties, this home is located one block from the center of Crested Butte. Hence, there’s no need to rent a car, as the historic town of Crested Butte is connected to the modern ski area (three miles away) by a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes. The house is located only two blocks from nearest shuttle stop. Nearly all of Crested Butte’s numerous restaurants and bars are one-to-three blocks away, and most of the best are within a block-and-a half walk. The nearest small grocery store is two blocks away, and the nearest large grocery store is 5 blocks away ( and is on the free schedule route as well). The Crested Butte Nordic Ski Center (with sledding hill and ice-skating rink attached) is five blocks from the house. This location is perfect for family members with divergent interests or for those who simply want to sample all that Crested Butte has to offer.
As an added benefit to guests, the owner provides a large storage locker (for skis, snowboards, boots, poles, goggles, helmets, etc.) slope-slide free of charge. This locker is located at the base of the ski area inside the Treasury Center in Mt. Crested Butte Village and right next to the main lifts. This convenience allows guests to store all their ski & snowboard gear next to the slopes, a major time- and energy-saving advantage for everyone.

What a place!

Comments from some of my happy visitors: Walid This homer provided a perfect time with family and friends to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Colorado. Biking, walking, and hiking from the well-stocked garage of bikes, two-seater covered wagon for cruising with the little ones, space for your gear, and more. Gathering back at the home, enjoying the beautifully tended gardens, a soak in the outdoor hot tub, a conversation or read on the front porch swing. The home had the perfect space for family and friends with all age children to comfortably and enjoyably stay. The kitchen was so great to gather round while taking turns cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner, (of course the happy hour deals and restaurants within walking distance are not to be missed :). And the entertainment set up is sweet, with DVD's, books, and Play Station! We were smiling big, but feeling down when we had to pull away from our stay in paradise and head back home. Thanks Uncle Buck for making it happen. You are the Best! Jamie We had an awesome time in Crested Butte! The best way to describe it is perfection. From the front door you can access biking, hiking, farmers markets, shopping and food. The house is very livable-we didn't have to go get anything from the store! What a wonderful place! Kate Staying here this summer was a true privilege! The house was beautiful...comfortable, had room for plenty of people, had beautiful sunshine coming through the windows with a great kitchen, large enough to cook for 15+people. The yard was a relaxing, wildflower paradise, great for a nap in the sun, a read, or a star-lit dip in the hot tub. This was a memorable family vacation, as everyone was able to come and go as they pleased, enjoying all that Crested Butte has to offer and then join all together for meals! Thank you Uncle Buck, it was so great to connect with family!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
