My husband and I rented this wonderful, spacious, light apt for a week in July-August. There was a supermarket within a 5 minute walk to get groceries, and the apt was in a perfect location for walking to major sights - Frida Kahlo's Blue House, Leon Trotsky's house, the Museum of Popular Culture, and the wonderful sights along historic Francisco Sosa - the grand old homes, the Museum of Water Color, great little restaurants. And for active walkers, San Angel and its wonderful artisan market and shops and restaurants was a half hour walk. The nearest Metro into downtown Mexico City was also about a 20 minute walk. Moreover, Coyoacan has banks, markets, cafes, anything you might need. I would recommend this property to friends, relatives, and only wish we could return for a very extended stay. The apt is spotless and full of interesting Mexican crafts, dishes, etc. The treasure is the wonderful concierge Filiberto and his lovely family. They will do all they can to make your stay here absolutely worry-free.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My wife and I spent a week here with my parents, a very comfortable week. The pics and description on vrbo are totally accurate -- plenty of space in the apartment, a great kitchen, great bathrooms, *very* clean. There's also an attendant who lives on-site who can help with any issues if they arise. The owners are solid and extremely easy to deal with. The best part of this apartment, though, is the location. Just a stone's throw from Parque Frida Kahlo, La Conchita, and the rest of Coyoacán. Great restaurants, bars, cafes, bookstores, etc. within a walk of just a few minutes. The apartment is on a small street away from traffic. All in all, this is a great deal, especially if you already know Mexico City. I would stay here again, and I'd have no problem whatsoever recommending it for friends and family.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This lovely apartment, full of interesting art, is just perfect for two couples or (in our case) a mom and her son. We so appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, it has two bathrooms and an office/bedroom which works perfectly for an extra person. The location in Coyoacan is only a few blocks from the main square, so you can easily walk over there for meals and people watching. There's also a lovely fresh market just a few blocks the other way. The owner gives great detailed instructions about how everything works which we really appreciated. Filberto, the building superintendent, is also very nice although he speaks no english (and my spanish is abysmal, to be remedied for next time!). The only downside is that the apartment is away from the north side of Mexico City where the historic area is - and traffic is just crazy in Mexico City so getting there is quite the ordeal - but worth it. Oh and one more thing, the Frida Kahlo house is very close to this apartment and the neighborhood of San Angel is also very close with the San Angel restaurant beside the Diego Rivera/Frida Kalho joint houses is really great. I definitely recommend this apartment, and am so looking forward to going back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My wife and i have spent two 6 month periods in this apartment during research trips to Mexico City. Its a wonderfully spacious apartment with two good sized bedrooms and a study which can also be used as a smaller third bedroom. You can't get a better location than this one- right bang in the old historic center of Coyoacan, a southern suburb of Mexico City with a village-like atmosphere. Cobbled stone streets, wonderful museums (Frida Kahlo's Blue House, The Trotsky Museum), and with metro/subway stations only a few minutes away by pesero or bus. The apartment decoration was definitely superior to anything we've experienced before and the owner has been attentive to our needs. Argentinian, Mexican and Italian food are around the corner, and within 5 minutes walk you are in the Plaza Hidalgo and Centenario Gardens in the heart of colonial Coyoacan with a huge selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. We've found it difficult to leave this apartment, but we have every intention of returning again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

This lovely, tasteful, and artfully decorated flat was exactly what we hoped it would be! My husband and I took our two teen-aged sons to visit family in Mexico and felt at home immediately upon entering this lovely apartment. It is spacious; three bedrooms, two bathroom, and has a lovely kitchen that gets the morning light beautifully. The apartment is just blocks from a supermarket and some wonderful restaurants. We plan to rent this place again, next time we go to Mexico. Also, dealing with the owner was a breeze and she answered all of our questions in a very timely manner. All rentals should be this lovely and go this smoothly!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
