Casa Manana is located down the beach 1.3 miles north of Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Puerto Morelos is a small Mayan fishing village of about 3000 people. It is located 14 miles south of the Cancun Airport. The road to Puerto Morelos is a new modern divided 4 lane highway.
Puerto Morelos has restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, dive shops, fishing and snorkeling excursions, daily "Local Catch" fish and lobster, a Pizza/Italian Restaurant, an ice cream parlor and a town square where you can go and just relax.
Casa Manana has three large bedrooms and four baths. Two of the bedrooms are located on the upper level of the main house, each with its own private bath and opening onto a balcony overlooking the beach. The third bedroom is actually a separate studio apartment with an exterior entrance. It is not accessible from inside the villa.
The apartment has a kitchen/dining area, a sleeping area and its own bath. The apartment is never rented separately but is included with rental of the main house. The view from the apartment is fabulous. The lower floor contains an American style kitchen with the usual items, including a microwave. There is a living room, breakfast bar, dining area and a full bath as well.
There is a TV with American satellite program reception that receives 100 channels (including 30 music only channels) and 6 premium movie channels. There is a large deck on the beach side of the house with Palapas (grass roofed structures) for shade and dining; the rest of the deck is open for sunning.
Every room in the villa has a great view of the beach and the sea. The beach is lit at night, perfect for viewing, walking or swimming. The street side of the villa has a garden with many trees and plants and offers a great view of the natural jungle a few hundred yards away.
In front of the villa is some of the best snorkeling in the world. The Maya Reef is the second largest great barrier reef in the world. It is 800 miles long. Walk the wonderful powder white beaches, gather shells, swim and snorkel in the 85 degree turquoise water (150 ft. visibility).
Explore Mayan ruins or a botanical garden, swim with dauphins, go for a jungle tour or go to a discotheque in Cancun. Watch the sun rise over the sea, have a private breakfast on the deck overlooking the beach. The villa has all of the modern conveniences. Catered food is also available if you don't want to go out. Maid service is provided and an English speaking manager is available to answer your questions or provide assistance.
