You can catch trout in Coffee Creek just 50 yards from the Chalet, or in the nearby Trinity River. Plenty of salmon, large- and small-mouth bass, and even some German brown trout await you in Trinity Lake - just two miles south of us. Nearby are trailheads to dozens of alpine lakes in the unspoiled Trinity Alps Wilderness.
A beautiful 45-minute ride will take you into Weaverville, a historic town from the California Gold Rush Era. There you will find a museum and many galleries and artisan's shops.
Of course, you can always relax in the hammock in the trees, play croquet on the lawn next to Coffee Creek, or even enjoy a game of horse shoes. You'll find hundreds of books to read and many puzzles to noodle over. |
