The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

Often times, at dusk, you will see several deer in the the front yard of the beautifully landscaped 3 acres. After sunset, the privacy of the woods and lack of street lights allow you to clearly gaze at the millions of twinkling stars in the dark night sky. Although you have seclusion, you are only a few miles from a grocery store, Walmart and Lowes, as well as many site seeing destinations.

Great Mountain House!

Date of Stay: 07/22/11 Review Submitted: 08/14/11

This is a lovely house located in a very nice part of West Jefferson. Its nestled in a beautiful spot in the woods that provides a great sense off of a seclusion and privacy. The house is wonderfully decorated and very cozy on the inside. It is well stocked with the basic pots/pans, etc that you might need to cook dinner and has very comfortable furniture. The location is wonderful, it is an easy drive from Charlotte and provides easy access to the Boone/Blowing Rock area as well as the Parkway. I really enjoyed renting this house and hope to return again another weekend soon. I high recommend this house if you are looking for a Mountain get-away!

How great was our stay in this super clean, spacious country home. The views were great from eveywhere. Nice quiet road to go for a walk without worry of traffic. The beauty of the hills was special. We went to a local church, farmers' market, local fish fry, dance house and just poked around. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. This is our idea of a special getaway. We will surely return again and come to High Country Haven .

Wonderful mountain retreat!!!

Date of Stay: 09/02/10 Review Submitted: 09/27/10

We have visited High Country Haven three times now and will continue to do so for years to come :0) A great place to make memories with children and adults as well. It's close enough to all the modern conveniences that we are use to but with the feel of privacy and peace that the surrounding mountains offer. With antique shops, local markets, fishing, a zoo, hiking, and even Tweetsie only about 45 minutes away, it's got something for everyone! The porch swing and adirondack chairs on the porch provide countless hours of relaxation and enjoyment of just getting away and doing nothing!!! The cabin is always very clean and has the cozy feel that you would expect in such a place. We highly recommend visiting and seeing for yourself!
