A beautiful home

I wanted to write a review of this home because I searched high and low prior to our stay and could not find a single review... so, here's mine :) This home is breathtaking. When we arrived on 05/21 the house was sparking clean and smelled amazing (I loved the scent of the little incense sticks they had around! I would love to know what kind it is!). It was tastefully appointed and had everything we needed. It was even more beautiful than the photos, and great proximity to the beach (we would ride bikes or walk to the access). However, there were a few issues. 1. Although we informed Kitty Dunes, the property management company, the previous vacationer's linens were not picked up the entire week we were there. Personally, my bedroom was the top master, but if my bedroom had been on the 2nd floor with 2 crates of dirty linens from strangers parked right outside it, I would have been a little disgusted. I do think this is an issue with the property management company and doesn't reflect the house itself, though. 2. Pool heat was not turned on until halfway through our stay, after a call to Kitty Dunes. It would have been nice if it had been turned on prior to our arrival.. it was May, the water was ice cold. 3. Several DVD players were broken (including the main one in the living room), and someone had played musical chairs with the remote controls. Not a big deal as we were usually busy doing other things, but the owners may need to address this. 4. I was kind of disappointed there was no table, chairs and umbrella by the pool area as the photos show. It would have been nice to have an eating place by the pool, but not really a big deal. Also, we couldn't find an outlet in the pool area. If you want music and the like by the pool, bring batteries. 5. The maitenence people were intrusive. I understand it is not "our" house, but it is still polite to knock and make yourself known prior to floating throughout the house. One lady decided to empty water from the hot tub, which is on the third floor balcony, over the balcony while we were leaving on the morning of check-out. Luckily I saved my fiance's acoustic guitar, sitting on the 2nd floor balcony, from the downpour just in time. She was completely rude! Despite these minor issues, we had an amazing time at Pirate's Booty. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!! I hope to return soon!!

Your review has been passed along to our Operations Manager and General Manager in order for corrections to be made in the service department. While Kitty Dunes is the management company for this home, there are outside vendors who work for the owner maintaining items such as linens, private pools and hot tubs. We are happy to address problems with the homeowners and outside vendors. Kitty Dunes will work with these individuals to make sure no future incidents occur. The private pool for this home is heated by Solar Power at no additional cost. Tenants need to request the heat to be turned on prior to arrival, if they would like to use the Solar Power heat. Furnishings and broken appliances have been addressed. Kitty Dunes Rentals is happy to address any concerns or issues which arise during the stay of our tenants.
