Very nice condo in a quiet neighborhood. Walked everywhere. Bed was wonderful. Loved the town of Carpinteria. Plan to visit again. Great restaurants, especially Tony's Italian Restaurant. Next visit to Carpinteria we plan to take the Amtrak from Carpinteria to San Luis Obispo for a nice day trip ! Would definitely stay here again. Central to Santa Barbara, Ojai, Solvang, Gainey winery, etc. One tip for those driving from out of state. When leaving Carpinteria to go back east during the week, leave at 4am to beat the Los Angeles traffic that hits Highway 101, 134 and 210 east around 6-630am.

Our family of three had a wonderful month-long stay. The condo exceeded our expectations. The owners were kind and helpful with suggestions and questions that we had. The beds were comfortable, the living space open and bright and decorated in the calming colors of the sea, the kitchen well-stocked with everything you need if you like to cook. The complex was very clean and very well-maintained. The shared laundry rooms were immaculate and convenient. We felt the complex was very quiet, the neighbors were all very considerate. We very much enjoyed walking everywhere--to the grocery, restaurants, shops, and of course the beach! It was a pleasant 10-minute walk to the beach, and with the owners having beach chairs, beach towels, and even boogie boards and beach toys, we were set to have fun! As for places we would recommend in Carp, we did not eat out a great deal because I had so much fun cooking--the local farmer's market is on Thursday afternoons, so I enjoyed getting fresh veggies and fruit, even flowers and herbs. We can highly recommend "THE SPOT" for great fresh burgers and fries. "CRUSHCAKES" had sinfully good cupcakes and coffee, and there is a wonderful natural foods market on the main street. Our favorite place was "CURIOUS CUP" bookstore. They have new and used books, and we spend lots of time there searching for books to read. Our son, who homeschools, even was able to take a class on marine life sponsored by the book store. He said it was one of the funnest things he had done in a long time. There is also a used book shop next to the local library where we found several wonderful books. And in nearby Santa Barbara, there are countless things to do. We spent a month there in the area, and we didn't even scratch the surface. We had a wonderful, relaxing, unforgettable time in Carp. The location, the condo, the beach...we can't say enough good things. If you are looking for a place to decompress and de-stress---this is the place!
Owner response:Kelley, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo. You listed our favorite places in town also.

This was my first experience with VRBO, and I was very pleased. The condo was exactly as it was described by the owner. We found the location very convenient for walking and exploring the nearby beach and state park. There were so many amenities nearby and so near to Santa Barbara. The property was very comfortable and had such a nice sense of peace and tranquility to it. The complex grounds are lovely and the atmosphere very low key. I would definitely visit again and recommend this property to friends or family. Carpinteria is a great little town.

We were quite please with the townhouse, the place was clean, the kitchen was extremely well equipped with pots and pans and the pantry was very well equipped. We did not hear neighbors on either side of us. The beach is just a short distance away. Carpinteria is a quaint town, several good restaurants. I would highly recommend to our friends to stay here, if they were going anywhere near the Santa Barbara area.

We loved staying at this Carpinteria condo. It was roomy and comfortable for our family of six. The condo is beautifully decorated and quiet. We loved the beach, the trail along the shoreline, and seeing the seals. It was so nice to be able to jump in the pool/hot tub after being at the beach. We also enjoyed the small town--we didn't drive much as we could walk or ride our bikes everywhere, and we felt very safe. We went to a farmer's market, walked around the shops, and collected lots of seashells. It was a truly memorable vacation.
