Just having the convenience of a kitchen, if nothing more than breakfast and a late night snack, makes traveling more like a vacation.

The French Quarter is graced with art galleries, historic church steeples, cobblestone streets, and an atmosphere of relaxed luxury, Charleston’s French Quarter is an island of bohemian delights within America’s most historic city. A quiet residential area of graceful homes and gardens and gas street lights has a European feeling. The Quarter is surrounded by cozy restaurants, southern food, fashionable retail shops and lively entertainment venues. Featuring property that comprised much of the original walled city dating back to 1704, the French Quarter eccentricities include old pirate taverns and tunnels dating to colonial days, the nation’s only and most famous French Anglican church, the Market and centuries-old graveyards where ghost tours are still the rage. Part of the National Historic Register for its concentration of 18th and 19th century architecture, the French Quarter boasts some of the city’s best examples of early Georgian single houses, airy piazzas and verdant courtyard gardens.

The Apartment would be ideal for someone looking to relocate to Charleston and is searching for a house to buy or just visiting America’s most historic city.

Another fabulous stay!!

This was our second stay at this beautiful condo, and hopefully it will not be our last. Our host Robert, really does all he can to make your visit memorable, starting with an impeccably clean condo and a beautiful fresh floral arrangement. There are even a few cold beverages in the fridge just in case you did not stop at the grocery store first. The location cannot be beat--right in the heart of downtown-there is many great dining opportunities within a few steps of the condo. Within walking distance you can dine, shop, see the beautiful fountains, exquisite architecture, the pier with a great view at night of the bridge and river, not to mention the nightlife! Robert has left all the information you may need to get around and see the sights. You are only a 15-20 minute drive from the airport. Parking in the garage is conveniently located behind the building the condo is in. The beaches are beautiful and would highly recommend checking them out--Folly Beach, Kiawah, Isle of Palms--each is unique and worth the short trip it takes to get to them. We appreciated the beach chairs and beach umbrella to use during our stay. Robert is the best host--we have stayed at many vacation properties and he is a great host and great resource for local information if you have any questions.

A nice place to stay

My wife and I stayed in this condo for a week to celebrate a special anniversary, and it was a nice choice. The location is ideal, close to many of Charleston's best restaurants and the Market. It's also within walking distance of a nice grocery store - a big convenience. The main living space of the condo is beautiful and feels like you're in a nice historic living room. The wide window seats are great for people-watching over East Bay Street. The place has a lot of charm. Robert was great to work with for the rental. He was flexible and accommodating and made sure we had a nice stay, and he provided a lot of helpful information. It's a wonderful place in a location that can't be beat in a truly terrific city, and it was an excellent choice for our trip.

An Absolutely Wonderful Taste of Charleston

Date of Stay: 05/23/11 Review Submitted: 06/13/11

My husband and I really loved staying at Robert's condo during our visit to Charleston for our 25th anniversary. We felt like we were at home. The unit is charming, comfortable, well maintained, large and so conveniently located to historic Charleston. It is in the heart of the French Quarter, close to the waterfront and within walking distance to a great deal of restaurants, shops, art galleries and walking tours, both historic and ghost varieties. We specifically chose Charleston because of Spoleto festival and were able to enjoy leisurely dinners and then walk to our theatre locations. We so appreciated this aspect of the condo since we are used to driving everywhere in the city--and paying large amounts of money for parking. We rented a car for a few days to visit garden plantations and to go kayaking. The rental agent was a block or two away and the public parking garage was behind the building. Robert is a considerate, gracious host and the fresh flower arrangements were beautiful. I would choose this condo again in a heartbeat. A fantastic, memorable experience!

An Incomparable "Home Base" for your visit to Charleston!

Guest: James (Nashville, TN)
Date of Stay: 05/16/11 Review Submitted: 05/25/11

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and could not be happier with the way things turned out. Neither of us had ever been to Charleston, so we had to take the owner's word as to the suitability of the location for accessing everything we wanted to see and do. I cannot overstate how perfectly this property is located if your stay will be centered around shopping, eating, and sightseeing, as ours was. It is a block from the Market, across the street from perhaps the city's most outstanding restaurant (and only a few steps from several other great choices), a block from the harbor, and walking distance to everything we needed except the beach and golf courses. In addition to the great location, my wife and I felt exceptionally well looked-after, as the owner checked in several times before we arrived (to see if there was anything he could do to make arrival and our first day less stressful), and a couple of times during the week (to make sure that everything was going well, make further sightseeing suggestions, etc.). Please consider this my highest possible recommendation for this property AND owner. If we ever have the chance to return to Charleston for a full week, we will check availability here before we look elsewhere. It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay.

Look no further!

I can't say enough good things about this place. My wife and two and a half year old and I had never been to Charleston before and we could not have chosen a better place to be headquartered for our visit. A friend of ours from Charleston steered us to the place based on location alone and we are so glad she did. The location is PERFECT. There is simply no way to overstate this fact. That said, the place is also huge (even bigger than pictures) and comfy and very nicely appointed and really quite the steal at the current rate. Honestly, I don't normally write these things but Robert was such a gracious host, and we had such a good time at his place, I wanted to do all I could to pass along the good news to any potential visitors.

My husband and I recently spent six days in this beautiful condo. It is absolutely charming, large rooms, high ceilings, beautifully appointed. This is a home and we felt so comfortable here. The location could not have been better! Almost anything you want to do is within walking distance. If you wish to travel further you can take one of the many Pedi cabs with their friendly drivers who will take you through the beautiful, cobble stone streets to see the many historic homes which are worth the trip to just see those. You have numerous wonderful restaurants to choose from--even across the street and next door, and there is plenty of great shopping as well. The grocery store is only four blocks away. We sat out front of this building in the evening and enjoyed watching all the people walking about. The owner has restored and maintained this property to the smallest detail. It was wonderful having a kitchen although we didn't use it much--too many great places to eat. The owner provided a lot of great information for us to review before and once we got there--he had the property ready for us spotlessly clean and stocked with almost anything you could need. He even has his grocery store frequent shopper card there for you so you can get the discounts! He answered any question we had about the area and the property. The information he left regarding local must sees was so helpful for us. We hated to leave this charming, elegant home--we will look forward to returning another time

This place is fantastic!!!!

Date of Stay: 05/14/10 Review Submitted: 05/27/10

This place was great! I had never been to Charleston before, and had heard about how wonderful the Historic District is. This is right in the middle of it! You walk out your front door, and you're there! Noise is not a problem at all. The apartment is great, a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator, and all the little stuff is already there for preparing meals. Large living room, plenty of desk space if you need to do work, high-speed internet, A/C, full TV and audio components. I'm definitely staying here next time we come back! And the owner is great: any questions, he'll galdly talk to you and even called the first two nights to make sure all was going fine. I can't say enough about how great this place is: if you want to have a great living experience and be right in the heart of the Historic district (walk to anywhere in 5 or 10 minutes), this is the place!!!!
