THE LOCATION
The Chalet is located at the Base of Teton Pass in Jackson Hole Wyoming and sits atop the Bench in Wilson, a small Hamlet (where the locals hide from the hub-ub of the town of Jackson) with Hungry Jack's General Store, Post Office, Pearl Street Bagel and Coffee Shop, Salon, Backcountry Sports, Fuel Station, Chippie's Catering Kitchen, the famous Stagecoach Bar, Pica's Mexican Restaurant, Nora's Restaurant, and Bike Paths that connect to Teton Village and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
THE SETTING
The Teton Pass area has some of the Best Backcountry Skiing in the World. The top of the Pass is only ten minutes up Wyoming Highway 22. This is also excellent Mountain Biking country. There are numerous great hiking trail heads just minutes from the house. You'll see folks hiking, biking, skiing, etc.. and they're all locals...real folks loving the great Tetons in true hard core style. If you've wanted to experience the "Jackson life" away from the "tourist" then this is the place. It simply just doesn't get any better than this.
THE SITE
The Chalet has excellent views across the Snake River Valley where there is abundant Wildlife and excellent Fly Fishing. There are also views up the Pass to Glory Bowl, a distinctive feature on the South end of the Teton Range. The bench top site has beautiful mature conifers, aspens and willows with a mown lawn and yard for outdoor gathering or just sunning.
There is a plowed and paved road and drive to covered parking and a paved entry court. A comfortable and Private setting that is close to spectacular amenities.

Why the Owner Chose Jackson Hole
We are a fifth generation Wyoming family. Our family has homesteaded in Virginia Dale and on Prarie Dog Creek south of Sheridan, Wyoming. As a boy my husband learned to ski in the Tetons (before the Tram). He spent summers learning the Geology of the land from his father who was a practicing geologist. The family finally tookup permanent residence in Wilson in the early 70's. Today we spend time in the mountains, on Jackson Lake, on horseback, sharing and loving this valley with friends and family. We haven't left here. In fact, we've expanded. The Old Trail Chalet give us the opportunity to open even more beds up for folks to share our "Hole-lotta-Jackson" experiences.
