Verandah is a secluded community away from the rush of the city. The grounds are very well maintained mixing old Florida -100 year old moss laden oak trees, with tall palm trees and abundant flowering shrubs. The Orange river runs along the south edge of Verandah, past the club house.
There is so much to do and everyone we've met is very friendly. It's easy to feel at home. The Golf staff is very helpful and professional, as is the staff at the Tennis and Spa center. The food is quite good and the service is excellent. Canoes are provided at no charge. Paddle down or up the Orange river under the old oak trees watching for dolphins and Manatee is a unique experience.
At the condo the Lanai looks over the 5th fairway and nearly every evening there is a fantastic sunset.

Our experience at this unit in Verandah was exceptional. The condo is clean, confortable and well appointed. Any small issues or questions that arose were immediately dealt with personally by the owners that lived nearby. The environment with miles of walking trails and many dedicated acres to natural reserve allowed us to see bald eagles, wild pigs (warthogs) and of course alligators, many birds etc. It seemed like a small adventure every day where we would say “what will we see today?” Very importantly it’s a very friendly community where residents openly welcome newcomers.
