Great Property! Easy access to downtown. Close to Cali side of Heavenly Slopes! Low traffic.......very quiet. Will use again if we ever have a group larger than 3......we had 6 this time and the space was great.Owner response: Thanks Brad! We stayed at Bill's "Heavenly Vista" over the Christmas holidays and had a great time. Everything needed and everything advertised was available and working perfectly for our family of five -- there was space for 3+ more travelers! We got over 6 feet of snow in 3 days and while we weren't out taking some great powder runs at Heavenly, we were enjoying the comfortable, fully-equipped mountain home. We used the hot tub, the master suite tub and all of the kitchen and audio/visual equipment with great enjoyment! We won't hesitate to come back the next time we head up for a family ski/holiday trip!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I had an excellent time at this house. It had everything I could want of or the weekend- best of all, a big private backyard with a hottub, horseshoe pit, badmitton court, bbq grill, etc. It was the perfect place for me and all my friends to hang out together. The inside of the house was really nice. A lot of stylish wood interior and new TV's, dishwashers, stereo etc. Spacious rooms. All very clean. Extremely helpful host who made everything easy. I hope to come back here again sometime and have another great weekend in Tahoe.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

What an amazing house! Bill is amazing also and provides everything you need for an incredible stay. To anyone reading this review, and considering Heavenly Vista as your home away from home...look no further, this is THE one! You will not find a more accomodating and gracious host than Bill. My planning process was seamless with Bill's communication and the knowledge he shared with the surrounding areas. The home itself is an absolute splendor to stay in. My family of 2 adults and 4 children, and my brother's family of 2 adults and 2 children, had more than enough room to spread out. One of the most enjoyable parts of our time there was the kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen is so well equipped, we cooked almost every meal there. And every night, when the 4 little ones were tucked away, our 2 older children and the adults enjoyed an evening of board games at the dining table. The master suite is a retreat in itself, and the beds...omg!!! It was a challenge getting out of them to hit the slopes early! Did I mention the not 1, but 2 jacuzzi's we took advantage of?!? Although the tempratures were a little chilly for this family from Hawaii, there was no way we were gonna pass on soaking in that hut tub till our skins were pruned! The location of the home is literally minutes away from the center of it all. What a convenience that is. We walked at the Heavenly Villiage, played and dined at the nearby casinos, and took a short 30 minute drive out to Kirkwood for two days of snowboarding. Btw, if your looking for an AWESOME restaurant. "Gi Fu Loh" in Harrah's serves amazing chinese cuisine, and the atmosphere is modern and upscale, with reasonable pricing. All in all, my family and I had an amazing time there. We played, we relaxed, and just enjoyed our surroundings and each other. This trip was a big deal for me, my 4 girls are getting older, and opportunities like this won't last forever. It was a year of planning and saving, and thank my stars I found Bill and his beautiful home. We will have the memories of sharing a Christmas holiday with love and gratitude and new experiences. Heavenly Vista was a very nice and comfortable place to stay! Loved the kitchen which was fully equipped with every cooking utensil we needed! Hot tub was perfect after a day of snowboarding. Loved the Cal King master bedroom with its fireplace and another hot tub. Loved how detailed the wooden furniture was. Great stay! We'll come back again!Did you find this review helpful? Heavenly Vista has been a wonderful place for a group of friends from San Francisco and San Luis Obispo to celebrate the start of this now 2010! Everything was spotless, extremely well organized, and the prompt replies from Bill made our stay easy, restful, and past wonderful. We loved having baths in the outside tub. Plenty of towels, bed linens, and a fully-stocked kitchen was extremely helpful. Thank you Bill and family for having such a wonderful place to share with all of us. I just wanted you to know that we all had a marvellous holiday in your lovely house in Lake Tahoe. The first thing we did when we arrived at 11 pm was toss a coin to decide which of us would get to use the master bedroom. The coin came up heads, which was what I called, so Bill and I won! I felt a little guilty but I needn't have because Michael and Emma were very comfortable in their suite of rooms downstairs. We loved a number of things about the house. The kitchen was great and so well equipped. You know, we didn't eat out once in the evening. The kitchen/dining/living area was so pleasant - we really enjoyed relaxing in it in the evening, all of us taking turns to cook a meal. Bill's cooking skills are a well-kept secret, so we were all surprised by his wonderful Christmas Day starter - king crabs cooked to perfection in the steamer. His birthday is coming up soon. I think I might surprise him with a new kitchen gadget! Michael, who did most of the driving, really enjoyed using the remote garage door opener and we all thought the access to your lovely warm house at the end of a day on the slopes was particularly easy. There's a lot more I could say but I'll have to sign off now and get our evening meal on the table. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet or even talk on the phone but I certainly appreciate all the consideration you showed us. Happy New Year to you and your family. Heavenly Vista was better than we could have imagined, especially after the long drive from San Diego. Straight to the hot tub! Lake Tahoe is beautiful. We hiked down to the Vikingsholm castle in Emerald Bay, and even used the sleds provided at the house on some fresh snow. It was wonderful to have the fully-stocked kitchen and a Safeway store a stones-throw away. We cooked every meal at the house. The kids enjoyed having their own TV and DVD player and choice of bunk beds, and we enjoyed the hi-speed wireless access to catch up with family and friends for the holiday. About the owner: Bill and Kristin (pictured here recently summitting Mt. Rainier), and Jon are partners in owning this beautiful house, which we've named Heavenly Vista. We enjoy spending time in South Lake Tahoe and travelling, and feel that we provide our guests with a wonderful place to get away to in their own travels to Lake Tahoe. We can also provide information about local attractions and activities for our guests if they'd like, since we have lived there in the past.
Why the Owner Chose Bijou 2:
We purchased Heavenly Vista for several reasons, though the most important was to facilitate Bill's visits with his young daughter, who lives in Reno with her mother. She loves having her own room and yard rather than spending time in hotels every month, especially when her friends and cousins come to visit and share the bunk bedroom with her!
