Why the Owner Chose Bijou 2
We purchased Heavenly Vista for several reasons, though the most important was to facilitate Bill's visits with his young daughter, who lives in Reno with her mother. She loves having her own room and yard rather than spending time in hotels every month, especially when her friends and cousins come to visit and share the bunk bedroom with her!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Heavenly Vista is in a prime location to take advantage of all the things we love about Lake Tahoe; just over a mile from Heavenly Ski Resort, two miles from the casinos and the private beach we purchase access to (for our guests as well!), and less than a mile from some of our favorite South Lake trails for running and biking. In addition, it's not far from the Forest Service Visitor Center where we like to go see the fish viewing chamber and salmon spawning in the fall.
Various peak's trailheads like Mt. Tallac and Freel Peak are close by, and we can rent any type of watercraft we'd like at any of several nearby marinas, including Timber Cove, which is less than a mile from the house. If we feel like golf the municipal course is across the road, and several others are within a few minute's drive. Another great benefit to our location is it's proximity to a bunch of local eateries, pubs, and stores, including a Safeway grocery store just blocks away.
Despite these nearby amenities and services, our neighborhood is a quiet one with lots of space betwen houses, and with the soaring pine trees and privacy fences around the house we almost feel like we're in a cabin in the woods outside of town!
Private beach (our passes give access), playground equipment, lifeguard, restaurant on the beach, and marina with boat rentals.
Skiing, hiking, gondola rides year-round, daycare and ski schools, etc.
Nature Trails, underground fish viewing chamber, salmon spawning in Taylor Creek, information and hiking permits.

Bill and Kristin (pictured here recently summitting Mt. Rainier), and Jon are partners in owning this beautiful house, which we've named Heavenly Vista. We enjoy spending time in South Lake Tahoe and travelling, and feel that we provide our guests with a wonderful place to get away to in their own travels to Lake Tahoe. We can also provide information about local attractions and activities for our guests if they'd like, since we have lived there in the past.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here- everything was perfect! The home is so warm and inviting. Perfect for a winter getaway. The amenities are all wonderful and we gladly took advantage of them all. We sincerely appreciate Bill's hospitality in opening his home to us. Tahoe was amazing! We extended our stay by one day to take advantage of the fresh powder on the slopes. Bill was again so accomodating! We will no doubt come back to Heavenly Vista for our next trip to Tahoe. See you then! - 1/04/09

Thank you so much for a magical vacation! This whole week has been amazing. We cooked almost every meal on the excellent cookware, had a movie night with the giant TV and superb couch, and soaked in both spectacular hot tubs. The beds are so comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, and it's so peaceful here. We don't want to stay anywhere else. We will book our next vacationright away! I loved the views from the back deck and master suite, and the trees surrounding the house. I'd love to stay all day and slide around in my socks, but it's a powder day. See you next time! - 12/23/08

Thanks for such an incredible stay. I really enjoyed the clean, warm environment and the unique architecture of the house.
