  We enjoyed our stay very much, it was perfect for what our needs were this trip. It was nothing fancy, but has a wonderful pool/hot tub area... The walk to the beach was a little bit long, so if you're bringing kids it might be a little hard, but wasn't a problem for just our group of adults. We also loved the screened in porch!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

  We've just returned from a week's holiday at Jackie's Other Place. All of the financial transactions were handled smoothly and securely. The location was a few miles south of the busiest part of Fort Myers Beach so we were not inundated with spring break craziness. While all of our keys worked to enter the condo, two sets would not open the entrance to the elevator, which was inconvenient if you didn't remember the punch code to get in. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen. Every utensil you would ever need is there, with a large refrigerator with ice maker, electric range and dishwasher. There were plenty dishes, cups, etc. There is a lovely screened in lanai which overlooks the entrance to the complex and the main road. The decor is nice enough, if a little dated. It certainly was clean with plenty of linens, towels and beach towels. It was very nice to have a full sized washer and dryer. The bathrooms were also a little dated, but clean. The pool area is lovely. We saw manatees in the marina on our walk to the pool each day. There are several barbecuing areas with large gas grills and tables which were used by many of the residents. The pool temperature was quite warm. Everyone was very friendly. The only drawback to the condo is beach access. It is directly across the street from the beach, but not easily accessible. The most direct route would be to walk through a marshy area. The owner suggests using the Holiday Inn access. This worked out fine, but the Holiday Inn is exactly 1/2 mile down the street. Since we were with my elderly in-laws, it was too far to walk. The Holiday Inn charges $5 to park during the week and $10 on weekends. There is a trolley which runs pretty much every 15 minutes during season that easily transports visitors up and down the boulevard. It stops at all convenient locations including the grocery store, and charges 50 cents each way per passenger. There is also a strip mall next to the complex with restaurants and shopping. The beach is beautiful and there are many great places to eat up and down the beach. All in all it was a very enjoyable accommodation.

  Wonderful experience, the condo location is perfect, very easy to access everything that you need to make your holiday perfect. The condo is very clean and nicely laid out. We really enjoyed morning walks on the beach and lazy afternoons at the heated pool. The bbq area is very nice, we cooked some evening meals and sat by the marina watching birds and the manatees so peaceful and quiet sooo relaxing. Amazing place to stay.

  Jackie's place was very clean and spacious. We loved having two floors! The pool was huge and very warm. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We've come to Florida for several years. We've stayed in very nice places. Some places have a zillion rules. Not this place - very laid back and comfortable and Jackie was great to work with. She made everything easy and always responded right away. We love staying on the quiet south end of the island. It was great being able to walk to restaurants and shops at Santini Plaza and the CVS. We look forward to coming back soon.

  We're back from the USA now for a couple of weeks and we really enjoyed our stay in your home. It was a wonderful place and we had a great time. Fort Myers Beach is a great place and your place was close to the beach, so we could walk over there with the kids. Thank you for having us stay at your place.

  As we have stayed at Santa Maria about five years ago we were looking for a rental in the area again. I must say I was a little apprehensive of booking something over the internet with a private owner and not a reputable company. We need not have feared. The owner was very efficient and all payment were through PayPal which made it secure. We were given all directions and lock codes for arrival and everything went to plan. The apartment was very nice, just the impression we got from the photos. All in all a good choice and holiday.

  Spent a week at "Jackie's Other Place" in March 2011 on the back of a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. Easy to locate and apartment was very cleaning and had every appliance you could wish for during a break. The downstairs "store room" was a hidden treasure with lots of beach/pool equipment - even had fishing rods! Apartment excellent - plenty of room up and downstairs. We ate out most nights but had a couple of BBQs from the pool area. There were 3 BBQ areas each with two large gas bbqs. The screened balcony was ideal for eating and we had out breakfast there every morning. There was also a wi-fi hotspot in pool area. A number of restaurants within 100 yards. The Fish House was our favorite as can sit outside on the dock. Large supermarket a mile or so up the road was easy to source our food/wine requirements! There was a "beach trolley" bus service for those who didn't want to drive along Estero Blvd. The Lovers Key National Park is a few miles to south within easy reach for those who want a quiet day out. Fantastic beach (very wide at this point of the key) - just perfect. Overall a great week - nice and warm - every amenity that we required - would recommend and we would like to return again.

  Just returned from spending 2 weeks in Jackies place and could not rate this place highly enough. It is a very good location although not too far away so as you cannot enjoy the lively north end of the beach if you want to. A local trolley bus runs the length of the island every hour with a stop just outside the condos. There are however local shops, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance The condo was spacious, very clean and well furnished, with a well fitted out kitcken. Outside there are 3 BBQ areas, a large pool and a hot tub tucked in between the buildings making it very private and quiet. Lots of pool toys and beach equipment in the storeroom behind the car parking areas. We sampled quite a few restaurants in the area. Truly Scrumptious - do not leave without trying the ice cream Beached Whale- sit upstairs to people watch in the evenings Doc Fords - generally busy but worth the wait Island Cow - Sanibel Island - excellent Castaways bar and restaurant - great pizzas - dont miss bandaoke on a wednesday night with Flash Forward - great fun, great band. Nervous Nellies - great views over harbour, great food Reeces - great for breakfasts Flippers - Lovers Key - Great food and views over the bay. A great place to stay and would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Cancellation policy:

Check in is after 3pm and check out is before 10am, unless prior arrangements have been made with owner. This is a non-smoking unit. Smoking is allowed on the lanai. Pets are not permitted. Cannot rent to students or singles under 25 years of age. No damage is to be done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. Renter understands they will be responsible for any repairs/purchases needed due to damage. Upon departure the unit is left locked with one key in keybox and two keys on key rack. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in trash chute at end of hall, and dishes have been cleaned and put away. Used bedding and towels should be placed near washer and dryer. The renter should not be evicted by local law enforcement. The renter will be held responsible for any charges by local security company hired by Santa Maria due to complaints against renter. Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival forfeit the full advance payment. Hurricane Policy - No refunds will be given unless the National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuation of the property. Any unused portion of the stay will be refunded.

100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
