A new vacation experience awaits the guests at Happy Ours … a fun filled outdoor living room and adjoining game room. For great times out of the sun, guests can sip refreshing drinks at the cocktail bar, gather for conversation on comfortable wicker furniture, or swing in a hammock for two. A large picnic table, gas grill (gas provided), ceiling fan, string lights and outdoor games ensure fun for the entire family.
Guests will enjoy the new game room with its foosball table, big screen TV, large futon, and plenty of games and puzzles. The attached kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave and bath with shower make this get away spot ideal. To entice people to experience all Happy Ours offers, guests for the 2011 season will receive $100 off their rent during both mid and peak seasons.
In addition to the new living areas, Happy Ours has under gone a total renovation of the primary living quarters. New paint, flooring, upholstery, mattresses and lighting now provide the freshness of a new home while the classic design maintains the charm and comfort of the older cottages. Bright paint colors and comfortable furnishings contribute to the appeal and help visitors keep that Happy Ours spirit.
Guests appreciate the ease and convenience of one floor living at Happy Ours. Central to the house is a “great room” with ample sized living, dining and kitchen areas, all with gorgeous panoramic ocean views. The great room offers 42” HDTV, phone service with free calls anywhere in the US, and wireless high speed internet. Two bedrooms flank each side of the great room. One side has a bedroom with a queen sized bed and the master bedroom with a king sized bed. There is a shared bath between these rooms. On the other side is a bedroom with twin beds, a small hall way with a full bath, and another bedroom with a queen sized bed. The two ocean front bedrooms provide fantastic ocean views. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and TVs with expanded cable service. Also special to Happy Ours is the abundance of decks. A spacious deck on the street side provides guests with the opportunity to view spectacular sunsets over Topsail. And two decks located on the ocean side enable guests to enjoy the ever changing beach scene. One is a shade deck with a retractable awning and the other is a generous sun deck with plenty of benches and lounge chairs for basking in the sun. Adjacent to the sun deck is a large enclosed shower with hot and cold water. (A second enclosed shower with hot and cold water is off the outdoor living room.) Both decks are gated to ensure children’s safety. The private beach access enables guests to walk from cottage to shore in 2 minutes.
