Living on Island Time!

This was our first trip to Key West and we could not have found a better place to stay during our visit. The location was great, convenient to downtown and everything on the island. The pool was fantastic after spending the day on Duval St or biking around Key West. The sunsets at Mallory Square were unbelievable! Make sure you stop by Cap't Tony's Saloon while in town. As for the food, Salute's is within walking distance of the house, the food was GREAT! If you want the best Cuban sandwich in town, you have to try Sandy's Cafe! Our visit was restful and relaxing and I wish we could have stayed longer.... Camille was the perfect hostess and made us feel right at home. Travis and I plan on making this an yearly adventure. Camille and Thom were great hosts and the dogs were a real pleasure. Lounging in the pool was great and even spotting the occasional iguana was a treat. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of Front and Duval but everything seems nearby on Key West. Very quiet and relaxing, made us want to stay much longer.

I AM SO GLAD THAT CAMILLE TALKED ME INTO STAYING AT HER WONDERFUL APT. I HAD MADE THE RESERVATION ONE YEAR EARLIER AND CALLED TO TELL HER THAT I REALLY DIDN'T FEEL LIKE DRIVING DOWN FROM NJ WITH MY DOG, MAGGIE, AS MY HUSBAND HAD PASSED NOV 5 2010. I WAS NOT IN A TRAVEL MOOD. CAMILLE TALKED A WHILE WITH ME AND MADE ME FEEL MUCH BETTER ABOUT MAKING THE TRIP. I AM SO GLAD I DID. MAGGIE AND I MADE GREAT FRIENDS WITH CAMILLE, HER HUSBAND THOM, AND THEIR TWO DOGS RANGO AND SOPHIE. WE HAD A SUCH WONDERFUL TIME THAT I WANTED TO STAY LONGER, BUT HER PLACE WAS ALREADY RENTED. CAMILLE HELPED ME FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY FOR FEB. MAGGIE AND I KEPT RETURNING TO CAMILLE'S PLACE FOR VISITS. WE FELT SO COMFORTABLE AT HER HOME. I WOULD RENT CAMILLE'S PLACE EVERY YEAR IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE FACT THAT SHE FOUND ME A HOUSE THAT NEEDED A LOT OF TLC IN KEY WEST. SHE IS A REALTOR AND HER HUSBAND IS A BUILDER THEY SAW THE POTENTIAL FOR THIS HOUSE, WHICH I DIDN'T. NOW I ALSO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN KEY WEST THANKS TO CAMILLE AND THOM. I ENJOYED THE MONTH I STAYED WITH CAMILLE AND THOM. I WISH IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT LONGER. I NOW CONSIDER THEM MY GOOD FRIENDS. THEY HAVE A BEAUTIFUL RENTAL PROPERTY IN KEY WEST. I HAD BEEN RENTING THERE FOR THREE YEARS AND ENJOYED STAYING IN THEIR APARTMENT MORE THEN ANY OTHER PLACE I HAD RENTED IN KEY WEST IN PREVIOUS YEARS. I AM GLAD MY NEW HOUSE IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY FROM CAMILLE, THOM, RANGO AND SOPHIE.

Perfect Getaway Place in Key West

What a wonderful place in Key West to spend a month. The furnishings are comfortable and stylish and the location is ideal. It's a block from the White Street Pier (sunrise and sunset viewing - the best), within an easy walk or bike ride to Smathers Beach and nearby is the Southernmost area where we found great restaurants. We enjoyed the company of neighbors renting the unit next to us but there was plenty of privacy for both units. We heard our landlord Camille perform at Hog's Breath Saloon and later coaxed her and her husband Thom to perform for all of us "Live" one evening. We particularly liked being able to set up laptops at the poolside table where we enjoyed coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. Katie Hamilton, March 2, 2011
