Gracious vacation home in Old Chatham, NY on 11 very private wooded acres with a pond and wildlife abounding. First year on rental market – it has been strictly family occupied until now. Beautifully decorated throughout and fully equipped.
Our Columbia County retreat is a traditionally styled country house with all modern conveniences. It sleeps 10-12 in four comfortable bedrooms plus a large finished basement; each room has a private bath.
The house is ideal for entertaining a large multi-family group. There is plenty of space to enjoy each others company, a country kitchen big enough for a couple of chefs and multiple on lookers, three fireplaces, an outdoor hot tub for the adventuresome, satellite television and DVD player for diversions. The basement is perfect for kids.
The house has bedrooms on all three levels:
• Upstairs - Master BR with Queen bed, fireplace, and en-suite bathroom
• Upstairs - BR with double twin beds and en-suite bathroom
• Main floor - Master BR with Queen bed and en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower (handicap accessible).
• Main floor - BR with twin high riser beds and adjacent hall bathroom
• Basement – BR area with bunk bed plus futon couch and hall bathroom with shower.
There is plenty of space to entertain and hang out together on the main level:
• Large Country Kitchen with preparation island, electric stove and oven, microwave-convection combination oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Comes fully equipped with cookware, plates, glasses, flatware, and pantry supplies.
• The Kitchen opens to a Dining area with fireplace and a Shaker style-dining table that seats 10 when fully open. A second dining table in the adjacent room can seat 4-5.
• The Dining area opens to large Family room overlooking the pool (sorry closed) and outdoor hot tub. There is a comfortable sofa and chairs, satellite TV, DVD, & VCR.
• The formal Living Room is cozy place for quiet conversation or more with a fireplace, piano, sofa and chairs.
