This rental is absolutely right in the heart of everything so you definitely can't beat the location. The only drawback is because the rental overlooks Meeting Street it is noisy. Both nights I couldn't get to sleep until traffic died down which was after midnight each night (we were there on a weekend). Not a huge deal but if you are a light sleeper, this may be an issue. There is no way I could have lasted a week in this place. It is so close though to the market, East Bay Strret, the Battery and King Street. We parked at the public parking garage down the street and never needed it the entire week end. If you want to be walking distance to everything, this is the place for you. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the rental and seek peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. It is a studio apartment, clean but cozy. Again, perfect for a weekend.

What a great little place right in the heart of Charleston. My wife and I loved our several nights stay, parking our car on Day 1 and not driving again for the next 4 days! We loved coming back from a day around town to this very nicely done single room loft, and its so central it was easy to stop in between activities to change clothes or just chill. Full kitchen was nice when we wanted to stay in one night for dinner. You could hear some street noise from this second story loft if people were talking very loudly on the sidewalk just below the window, but that added to the ambiance during the day and certainly didn't deter any TV watching or conversation; at night, we just turned on a little fan we brought (a box fan was there already) and had no issues with any noise, people, fire station, or otherwise. There is a Harris Teeter about 3 blocks down the street which was very convenient, the free Charleston trolley has a stop about a block south of the loft, and a bicycle rental place was a block north too. The place was very clean and nicely appointed. The pictures don't really do this place justice, so just so you know; full kitchen with oven/fridge/microwave, 1 queen bed, couch and recliner, large screen TV, full bath and utility room (w/ironing board and iron and plenty of linens, etc). Would definitely recommend to couples, but not w/kids as the sleeping/living situation is really 2 person. Management was easy to contact and deal with. Overall A+

This rental was in such a great location. Convienient to everything Downtown Charleston. Walking distance to everything. The space was quaint with much character. Our only concern was the noise at night. While quaint, the space has original windows which make it loud. Bring earplugs!

We can't recommend this property enough -- it's the perfect place to lay your head if you're in Charleston. The apartment was clean, comfortable and perfectly located in this very walk-able city. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need and is a great way to save a little cash (there's a large grocery store a few blocks away). We hope to come back again soon.

My wife and I found this condo and decided to book it for our first anniversary. Our goal was to be walking distance to restaurants, shopping, bars, and sight-seeing. Mission accomplished. We had dinner at CRU Cafe one night--I highly recommend it! We also had lunch at Toast, and frequented the French chocolatier just around the corner on Society for coffee. The condo was plenty spacious for us, and having a full size fridge was a plus. My only complaint is that it's right across the street from the fire department. We witnessed several calls during our 3 night stay, but only two woke us in the middle of the night. If you can deal with that, I highly recommend this place. There was no parking with the condo, so we had to pay $12/day to park in the parking garage across Wentworth, but that wasn't too much of a hassle as we walked all weekend. I just wish we had more time to see more, and get to the beach!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for a weekend while attending a wedding in Charleston. The location is great! There is a firestation across the street but they did not go out on any calls while we were there. It is a really busy area so it does get a little noisy outside once morning comes but we were planning to be up early to explore the town anyway. The loft is really cozy but not suffocating with all of the light coming in through the windows and the high ceilings. We know this will be the first place we check for availability the next time we visit Charleston!

The location of the loft is great. Downtown Charleston and the sights can easily be reached on foot. Shopping is also easily accomplished without a car. Harris Teeters, a wonderful grocery store, is located less than 6 blocks away. The unit was reasonably clean, but a bit dusty. Being located across from the fire station was not really an issue as there were no night calls and we were mostly gone during the day. The firemen we talked to were nice and very friendly. The noise from the street, vehicle and people, was at times loud.

LOVED staying here. Walking distance to everything. Literally parked the car friday night and didn't drive again until we left Sunday. Traffic at night gets a little noisy but worth it for everything else. The loft is much cuter than in the pictures, and perfect space with a little kitchen and everything. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I flew in on a Thursday for a Sunday wedding and left on Wednesday. The location was perfect. We were near the other wedding guests and all the planned activities. Everything was within walking distance including the historic sites, the waterfront, food, and even a Piggly Wiggly. The fire station is across the street and we occasionally heard them pull out on a call, but not during the night and it never woke us up. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the cleanliness of the place. It was even cuter than the pictures. I think the price of the condo is good for the area and definitely competitive with the local hotels, particularly if you cook your own food (we mostly ate out at events for the wedding but did get some cereal and bagels). After being out and about, it was nice to come back to our own place with cable and wireless. I thought it was a very simple process to check in and out. However, I did think that the (closed) windows let in a lot of sound of cars and people walking on the street (mostly during the day). I would stay again.
