We have just returned from an 8 day stay at this great location loft. You can walk EVERYWHERE from this place!!! It is a wonderful place to see Charleston and the surrounding area. We toured Charleston but also spent time at Sullivan's Island, Kiawah, Folley Beach, and Boone Plantation. Our arrangements were very easy and Matthew was wonderful with communications, information and ideas. We took his advise and didn't rent a car for the whole time. There is an Enterprise just a few blocks from the loft and a great parking garage just down the street so that made it really easy. It is across from the fire station and the trucks do pull out a few times a day but that didn't make it a problem for us. You are in a city so you must expect to have noise. We did feel that the windows seemed to be thin and you could really hear the street noise and people as they walked by. The loft has all the basic amenities, it is not luxurious but served us very well for our stay.

I am always a little hesitant about staying at a VRBO or other independent rental but all the places we've found so far have been top notch. This loft has been the best, by far. It's not glitz and glam (neither is our home), but it is in the perfect location. We walked everywhere. I walked in to the Days Inn just a block down and inquired about their rates: $300/ night. One bummer is that you do need to factor in the $12/ day parking that would be complimentary at a hotel.

Great location, nice and sunny, easy to walk everywhere downtown. Nice to have a small kitchen that we could prepare basic meals in - and did I mention the light? As as a Southerner living in Maine, having all of the sunshine was exactly what was needed. Matt was pleasant to work with. It would be great if wifi were included - we both had work that needed to be done and had to find a coffee shop to do it. Also, make sure to bring earplugs if you are easily awoken - the fire station is across the street and on weekend nights, there are lots of people out late. We also experimented with not having a car and it was fine - because the location is so close to everything, the only time we took a cab was to and from the airport. Saved the money (that we used to enjoy some of the many fabulous restaurants).

This place was perfect for my needs and working with Matt was a pleasure. He did an exceptional job for the owners. There were a few minor concerns. There wasn't much hot water for bathing and it was hard to shave because the sink did not have a stopper. I could not tell that there was a restaurant below. There was no noise and no smells. Overall a great experience. The listing was accurate and the property clean. I would recommend this to an individual or couple who do not need the frills of an expensive hotel room.

Myself, Husband and newborn stayed here when we came in town for a wedding. We were very comfortable and in close walking distance to everything. The parking garage is really just around the corner and no big deal. It is on a second floor with a very steep stairwell which made using a stroller interesting as you have to carry it up/down the stairs. One of the 3 nights there was a fire so we heard the fire trucks across the street leave, but it was no big deal and not that loud. Compared to the price the other wedding guests paid for the Days Inn down the street we were very pleased. We were also happy with the A/C (not so great as the Days Inn we were told), great job getting rid of the humidity and staying cool.

Fabulous Loft! Great location, easy parking, very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Will definitely recommend this loft to friends and family. Two of our favorite casual restaurants within walking distance are A.W. Shucks and the The Charleston Crabhouse.
