Juliette is a wonderful place to stay, and the location is unbeatable! The pictures and reviews you see here cover the basics, but what you can't see is all of the effort that Michelle (the owner) puts into making your stay the perfect Paris experience. We took a family vacation to Paris last summer and stayed at her other property (Petite Maison). When I decided to surprise my wife with a return trip for just the two of us, Michelle offered to do a customized Paris itinerary for us based on our interests. After completing a detailed questionnaire, Michelle created a day by day plan just for us! She and her local property manager (David… great guy, native English speaker!) arranged everything for us. When we arrived at the airport, the car service was waiting to drive us into the city. Upon our arrival at Juliette, there were fresh pastries in the oven, we had tickets waiting for us to several popular art exhibits, and we had lunch and dinner reservations at local restaurants. The daily itinerary was incredibly detailed, with wonderful little pieces of insider information and local history that made it more than just a list of things to do! It was a fantastic guide, and it made our Paris trip unforgettable. If you are going to stay here, be sure to ask Michelle for help in planning your trip! She is a treasure!

Our mom and daughter getaway at Juliette was awesome !! We loved it so much that we had dinner there every night. It was comfy, cozy, clean and great for relaxing in the evening. It was also very convenient to all the Paris sights. The owners were very helpful with our questions about Juliette and yes I would recommend Juliette to family and friends!! Juliette is Paris at it's best!

My husband and I spent 5 wonderful nights in Juliette celebrating our birthdays and our anniversary. What a wonderful apartment. Beautifully decorated. Perfectly located. It was a lovely haven in the middle of busy Paris. As others have mentioned the island offers every conceivable choice.....wine, cheese, pate, ice cream, restaurants, flower shops. The apartment is within walking distance of the Marais, Left Bank, Right Bank....it was very hard to leave and we can’t wait to return.

The charming apartment “Juliette”, which is decorated with classic flair, is a restful sanctuary on Ile Saint-Louis in the ancient heart of Paris. Being there is like living in a quiet village within the bustling City of Light. Even on the warmest summer day there is a pleasant air flow over the entire length of the apartment between the East and West windows. The beds and linens are of the highest quality, as are the walk-in shower and gourmet gas stove. The property manager is excellent, assisting with heavy suitcases up the one flight of stairs, responding to every question and making himself available at all times to take care of details. It is very helpful and reassuring to have him there, speaking English and knowing the neighborhood’s intricacies. The apartment is a perfect base for venturing out into the city. Happy travels !

Enjoyed 10 nights in Juliette. A beautiful old building, finely and completely furnished with everything one needs. Very charmingly French amid truly comfortable furnishings. Most importantly, the apartment is situated in a prime location within walking distance of every notable landmark in Paris, a stones throw from either the Left Bank or Right Bank of the Seine and a mere 5 minute stroll from Notre Dame. You will love it! Its fun to be on an island, particularly Il St. Louis. Wonderful bakeries, a cheese shop, two butcher shops with fantastic cured meats and sausages, a wonderful wine shop, two local grocers, a world famous ice cream store and several fine bistros all within a stone's throw. Sort of a mini-Paris all on one small island. But, don't let this discourage you from seeing the rest of Paris, the shops, the museums, the architecture, the activity on the river, etc.all within convenient walking distance. Much better than any hotel. Michelle will provide you with some special tips for shopping, dining and enjoying the city and all it has to offer to a native. The apartment alone will make you will feel like you live in Paris. No safety worries because the apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood, well secured and managed. David, the local manager will help you get situated. He was readily available to provide friendly assistance on anything needed during our stay. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! It is a rare opportunity to enjoy Paris as one dreams of doing. It is the perfect size for a couple and two small children or a girls' getaway. Tall people must duck if they elect to sleep in the very inviting loft.

Four adult women shared this lovely, charming apartment on Ile St. Louis in the heart of Paris. It was open and roomy, yet the well-placed curtains provided all necessary privacy. While I would not recommend this for adult couples, it was perfect for our group of women and I believe a family would be quite comfortable here. Loved it!!

Thank you Michelle!! We spent wonderful 2weeks at Juliette. Location itself was the treasure and the house, furniture were wonderful and all the equipments were very functional. Healter was very strong,we could use shower anytime with hot water. Kitchen and tablewares were great. Walking around the ils st louis itself was the great part of our sightseeing. We could go anywhere by Metro without any trouble. Wonderful restaurants and cafe and bakeries and supermaket stores within 2min of walk. We loved the dvds and books Michelle provided. Juliette was perfect for our getaway weekend for the girls. It was warm and delightful even during the coldest days of January. The neighborhood was ideal, offering a great selection of shops and restaurants within a few blocks of the apartment, yet quiet and peaceful at night. After spending the day enjoying the city, we were revitalized by a blissful soak in a hot bath and the anticipation of retiring to the most comfortable beds any of us had ever experienced. I’ve stayed in a number of places in Paris and Juliette was by far the most enchanting and unforgettable.

Spent Christmas week in this exceptional apt on a family vacation. Apt was perfectly located on the Ile St Louis; rustic, cozy, fully appointed. Owner was great to deal with--sent all materials about the apt in advance of our stay; provided clear and thorough instructions about appliances and offered several choices for restaurants and places to see in the city. Management company was easy to contact and responded quickly when we had one issue with turning on heat. A working fireplace was a special treat and comfort to come to each evening after a full day exploring the city. Cook's kitchen and well equipped and stocked. Would rent it again.

Juliette was everything we could have hoped for, for our first stay in Paris. It was immaculately presented and straight out of a picture book, full of all of the romance that the mind conjures of Paris. It more than lived up to Michelle's description of it on VRBO. Apart from its complete charm, it had every amenity you could want for in a home away from home. It is set in a thoroughly delightful and charming neighbourhood, a destination in itself, and very central and accessible to all of the popular Paris sights. Forget the Metro unless absolutely necessary. After visiting Notre Dame on day two, we walked to Sacre Coeur at Montmartre, then on to the Arc de Triomphe, across to the Left Bank, up Saint Germaine de Pres, across to the les Jardins du Luxembourg and finally back home to Juliette. A full day on our feet, but a great way to take in the Parisian neighbourhoods. Tired out from that day, we spent the evening in our beautiful apartment, feasting on the best foie gras I have ever had, and other gastronomic delights all purchased within the Ile Saint Louis. One very important point... I am fanatical about my peace and quiet at night and while sleeping and can assure anyone who is similarly fixated that Juliette provided me a very quiet, peaceful and refreshing sleep every night we were there. Juliette... c'est magnifique!!

A short week later and we are all still singing the praises of "Juliette." In fact my college age daughter was very upset that someone new would be staying in her Harry Potter-like bed under the old staircase! We did not want for anything. Michelle has covered all the necessary bases. Our purchases revolved around fresh food items from the local shops for make at home dinner-making and Christmas gifts. Right next door we discovered a treasure (Auberge) ... masterfully attended to by its wonderful proprietor named CLAUDE. His featured Sole with Capers, Beef Brochettes, Canard (Duck) with Potatoes, Chocolate Fondant and Creme Brulee are show stoppers ... simply prepared but superbly delicious. If you go there, please tell him hello from the "Three American Women." I am sure he will remember us. My sister practically lived in the Napolean era bathtub. If she could have fit it in her luggage, she would have carried it home with her. I am a hot water lover and we never had a problem running low on it. A most memorable meal was also had at the corner restaurant called La Vache (meaning the cow). At one time the area was dairyland. You will have a hard time choosing between the French ice cream and Italian gelato in the neighborhood. Both are sinfully good. We found the local shop keepers to be warm and full of help when we were choosing food or gifts. They all beautifully packed (for air travel) and gift wrapped our purchases. At night we would light the fireplace candles, watch French movies or listen to Cafe music. On the bridge leading to Notre Dame, street musicians offer a variety of songs and often sell their CD's there too. Try the delicious crepes and teas 2 doors down from your flat as well. They are quite yummy. The flower market around the corner (midway up the street) offers reasonably priced, gorgeous blooms and plants. Finally, I highly suggest that you use the local taxis which you can easily find near Notre Dame's entrance. They are really not a bad deal compared to the Metro. On numerous side-trips, we found them to be a better deal for our party of 3 than purchasing train tickets. And, we found most of our drivers to be full of local tidbits and valuable advice. In sum ... "Juliette" was a lovely, peaceful sanctuary in the heart of one of the most beautiful areas in Paris. It was difficult to leave her ... but, we look forward to saying hello to her again in the near future. PJ - Litchfield County, Connecticut

My family loved staying in this apartment! It was so charming and cozy, and the location was perfect for traveling anywhere in Paris on the Metro. The apartment had everything we needed, and the owners were extremely helpful in guiding us as the trip approached and giving advice on things to do in Paris for adults and kids. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family visiting Paris!

We so much enjoyed our time in Paris and Juliette was the icing on the cake! Everything about this picture perfect apartment was exactly as described and Michelle provided so many wonderful suggestions for Isle St. Louis and the surrounding areas. Our family of four, including 11 and 13 year old boys, LOVED coming back each day to all of the unique and charming features of this delightful apartment. Staying in Isle St. Louis is like being in a movie - and in fact one french film was actually being filmed across the street from the apt. We stuck our heads out of the living room window to be extras. As recommended, every morning we enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice and bakery items from the patisserie less than a block away from our front door. Being so close to everything in Paris was a treat. We can't wait to return. If you're staying in Paris, you must stay in Juliette!

My wife, two daughters, and I stayed a week at Juliette in late June 2010. After exploring the apartment for 10 minutes upon our arrival, our ten-year old proclaimed from the loft that this apartment was indeed the "best" in all of Paris. (Being ten years old, the fact that none of us had ever been to Paris before was of no consequence to her...but she was right!) Juliette is a special apartment, in a special spot. If available on our return to Paris, we will be staying there again. There was ample room for a family of four, the decor was fun, and the many little touches were extremely thoughful. It was hot in Paris the week we were there, but the cross-draft breeze of the windows made it more than comfortable. Needless to say, we were sad to go at the end of our first week in Paris.

Our lovely memories of staying in the beautiful apartment “Juliette” 7, rue des Deux Pont - Ile St. Louis, Paris during the snowy winter of January 2010.Julia and JulietteIt was a winter’s night in Paris, Words on a chill breeze crossed the SeineDown the road, majestic Notre Dame A mere moment from Ile St Louis. The old wooden door told no tale, No stories of secrets that lay within.Soft light beckoned along ancient stone,Falling gently on wooden stairs,A single flight to Juliette’s door, “C’est Ici” - It is here. The latch clicked... and slowly was revealed,Fragrant rose, gentle light and warm embrace.Transported to a bygone age, 17th century beams stood proud against the test of time.Renaissance dreams amidst modern schemes.Flowing damask, fine velvet, linen and lace,An invitation to sip Bordeaux by the fireplace. And up the stairs a lovely surprise,A veritable feast for the eyes!A bed for a King, a bath for a QueenA place to rest, a welcome scene. The tall window, a picture frame for falling snow,An old man, hurrying with baguette and cheese It’s cold outside...... but I am warm and at ease.Keith & Julia Hutchinson January 2010 (c)

We stayed in the Juliette in February, 2010. It was my wife, our 3 pre-teen daughters, and my mother. We loved it. First of all the location is perfect. The neighborhood is Paris at its finest. It was convenient to Versailles, Disneyland and the airport by train (RER) and all of Paris on foot or subway (Metro). The owners have somehow found a way to combine all of the antique charm that Paris offers with all of the conveniences of modern travel. Robes, slippers, fireplace, Internet, furnished books and DVDs, free telephone. It's all there, you just have to discover it (like the antique sink disguised as a desk for example). For a family of six it is very efficient but not totally private (lofts etc.). Every inch of the apartment is utilized but we didn't feel as though we were tripping on each other. I would say it is better suited for families than 2 couples travelling together. It is hard to capture the Juliette experience in words but if you want a real Paris experience than this may be the apartment for you. It certainly was for us.
Owner response:We love sharing our very special apartment with those who want an authentic Parisian experience combined with 21st century creature comforts! Bonne vacances!

My sister and I just returned from a glorious week in Paris, Jan. 29th- Feb. 3rd. We stayed at the lovely and charming Juliette. This was our first trip to Paris and Michelle was extremely helpful and hospitable while I was planning the trip. Juliette is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis with tons of quaint shops and restaurants. The apartment is exactly as the web site pictures show and extremely comfortable with all the modern amenities you need! We walked everywhere from the apartment: Louve, D’Orsay, St.Chapelle, Notre Dame, Pantheon, Invalides, Opera Quarter, Bastille, Tuileries, Sacre Coure, Eiffel tower, just to name a few! If you are looking for a romantic, historical, and safe area of Paris to get away from it all and live like a Parisian, Juliette on Ile St. Louis is your place to stay!

I spent 5 lovely days staying in Juliette with my sister and her husband in mid-September of this year. The apartment is in a wonderful area with some many things within walking distance. The apartment is charming with lovely linens, very French tableware and crystal, luxurious robes and enough pillows for everyone and then some. Michele left us with enough information regarding shopping, restaurants and sightseeing to make reading before hand almost unnecessary. It was so nice to stay in an apartment where we could put our feet up and have our wine, bread and cheese after a long day of activities. The apartment is exactly as represented in the pictures on this web site, there were no surprises other than being pleasantly surprised at how much prettier the apartment was in person. It's the ideal place to stay for a Paris vacation.

"Juliette" is a charming haven perfectly placed in one of the most enchanting areas of Paris. No detail is overlooked in the apartment - you will be spoiled and never want to stay in a cookie cutter hotel room again! It is a perfect marriage of vintage Parisian antiquities to the comforts and ease of the new (the fantastic beds, shower, laundry facilities, internet hotspot, etc). I had the good fortune of staying in Juliette for a week with 5 of my girlfriends in celebration of my 40th birthday - which happened to be Bastille Day! Michelle made sure everything was perfect for the six of us, and we were NOT disappointed. I have been to Paris many, many times in my life, but now I can say I have lived in Juliette - a magical little home on the Seine.

Michelle was a wonderful resource. Besides providing countless comforts in the apartment-- Michelle sent us a list of Top Girls Getaway Activities before we even arrived. My family and I stayed in the "Juliette" during the Paris Airshow in June of 2009. What a fantastic experience, Michelle was wonderful to work with and even coordinated transportation for me from CDH and my family from the train station to the Apartment. Previous to this our communications with Michelle were top notch and she even supplied us with a book on french phrases and key points of interest. The location is absolutely perfect, the Ile St. Louis was remarkable with little shops for wine, cheese and of course my daughters favorite the Ice Cream. My wife and I enjoyed the great restaurants and outdoor cafes on the island and the ability to get out of the tourist areas and see how real Parisians live. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay at the Juliette it was so relaxing to be in an apartment vice a hotel room. We bought local food and wine and ate in the confort of our apartment, and enjoyed coffee in the morning sitting on the couch. overall what a perfect paris experience, minutes to Notre Dame, and the major sites but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. Recommend you see for yourself.

Our family of 5 can't rave enough about our stay at the Juliette! It was everything we expected and more. Michelle was so easy to deal with and thought of everything to make our stay memorable--from ample towels to the fresh flowers that welcomed us. She carefully documented everything we needed to know about the workings of the flat and included maps as well as recommendations of things to do and restaurants to try. The local management company was accessible, helpful and accommodating in every way. Best of all, the location is ideally situated on the charming Ile St. Louis. Our three kids (ages 14, 12 and 10) loved taking turns sleeping in the loft and the ability to make free calls home was an added luxury. Words that we all agree describe our stay include comfortable, cozy, charming, inviting and authentically Parisian. We'd strongly recommend this property to families and it would also be ideal for couples or a "gal-pal" get-away.

I took my husband to Paris for his first time and after a week at 'Juliette', we were so comfortable that we hated to leave. This Ile St. Louis apartment offers a truly memorable Parisian experience. It is located in the city's most charming neighborhood. Cafes, restaurants, markets, bakeries, specialty wine and cheese shops, boutique stores, and the BEST profiteroles with a view of Notre Dame are steps away. The sense of history is engaging...you are transported into another world. Combined with all the modern amenities and a superb location for walking, metro, and taxis, 'Juliette' is an ideal place to stay and immerse yourself in the delights of Paris. Bonnes vacances!

My gift of European travel to my son for his college graduation could not have started out any better than it did at Juliette. His first trip to Paris began with the fabulous travel back in time that this exquisite apartment provided, the ideal history lesson that he never got in school! We loved the period decor while enjoying updated convenience. Although we stayed in May 2009, a day has not passed since then without a pleasant reflection upon that wonderful stay in Paris. I would definitely return to this lovely apartment, and I am gratified that my son was impressed and gave favorable reviews as well. He adored the "poulet crudite" sandwiches that the nearby bakery prepared for us every morning as we left for our day of sightseeing. Juliette's owner was very helpful and gracious while we made our plans. Thank you to her for making this wonderful opportunity available to us. Fondly, Cecelia

We just had a 'Girls Get Away" vacation in Paris (3 girls), had a lovely time thanks to the magical feel of Juliette. We enjoyed staying at Juliette very much, especially loved walking by Notre Dame on our way out or back to the apartment. It is ideally located, within walking distance of Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle, Le Louvre, Le Marais, we even walked to Le Jardin de Luxembourg, Au Bon Marche, walked all over St Germain and Quartier Latin. We had a smooth experience booking the apartment and Michelle shared tons of recommendations on places to see, things to do and places to eat. The apartment is cozy, full of modern convenience and is a jewel of a place. Children will love the place too as there are several Berthillon ince cream places just around the corner and a few whimsical gift stores. I will be back for sure with my husband and boy. Thank you Michelle for sharing the place with us. Caroline

We have just returned from a wonderful but short four day stay in Paris. This apartment is ideally located within walking distance of Notre Dame, the deportation Memorial, the Louvre, and the old Jewish street of Rue des Rosiers in the Marias. It is also a nice walk to Victor Hugo's home and the Jewish Museum. The closest Metro line is Pont Marie (2 blocks)and you can get anywhere in Paris very easily from there, though I would suggest meandering the streets and feeling like a Parisian. We walked about 5 miles in one day, and our feet were sore, but there are so many cafes in which to stop and people watch and have a nice coffee. We even walked from here to the Bon Marche department store and to the Eiffel tower. These are enjoyable walks because there are so many nice stopping points. The interior of the apartment makes you feel as if you are in the 17th century. The ceiling is very low upstairs if you are tall, but this only adds to the authentic feel of the place. The bedding is very comfortable and cozy. Our family of three and two friends were very comfortable here.Michele has thought of everything, from a washer and dryer to tv with CNN in English if you need your news fix. Michelle was easy to deal with.We will return. Thank you Michelle
