Not only were the accomodations and location superb, but the owners have included a ton of information about how they best enjoy San Miguel. From restaurants to art recommendations/suggestions, we were able to avoid a lot of research and start to enjoy this wonderful spot immediately. Because of its centro location we were easily able to walk back home for rest, reading, snacking, or relaxing on the roof garden between adventures. Clara and Jose, the cleaning person and gardener who come every other day, were very accomodating with any questions we might have about the property or San Miguel. As with all of the locals we met, they are very proud of their city and its heritage and were more than willing to share it with us. Whether we wanted to be out-and-on-the-go or in and relaxing, this was a great place to spend time in a truly enchanting and unique part of Mexico.

House was luxurious, meticulously furnished and well cared for. Description and photos are very accurate. The owners were very helpful in answering all my questions and their house manager arranged for my transportation to and from the airport. Additionally, he was available to help me with any questions I may have had. The owners and the manager were very nice, honest people. I cannot wait to return as I loved the house and its views and San Miguel.

A Perfect Getaway

This was one of the best vacations we have taken. Casa Bendita is gorgeous and very comfortable. The location is superb, allowing lots of excursions by foot. We loved exploring this beautiful and friendly city and adored coming "home" to enjoy an evening drink by the fireplace. Owners were extremely helpful and arranged transportation to and from the airport and for outings outside of town. One of the highlights was a cooking class with Paco Cardenas which I would highly recommend. This is a wonderful property and a terrific place for shipping, eating, exploring, and relaxing. I hope to visit again.

Casa Bendita is like no other vacation rental you've experienced. The home is stunning, the online pictures here barely do it justice. Besides its beauty and classic elegant design, the home is comfortable and everything "works". My husband and I, along with friends who were visiting San Miguel for the first time, had a wonderful experience staying at Casa Bendita. The location could not be better - a very easy walk to the Jardin and around the corner from the Bellas Artes. The house itself is lovely and comfortable in every way. Enjoying the view of the San Juan de Dios Church and neighborhood from the rooftop terrace was a highlight of our stay.The housekeeper and gardener were a pleasure to get to know. They were exceedingly helpful and became our own Spanish language tutors. I recommend Casa Bendita without any hesitation.

Our month long stay at this special home was wonderful: the house is very well maintained, beautifully appointed and extremely welcoming. The housekeeper and gardener were efficient and accommodating but not intrusive, and house manager was very responsive. It more than met our expectations for a luxury home rental in San Miguel and I would recommend it highly.

Our long-awaited visit to San Miguel de Allende is about over, and we want to express our pleasure and thanks to Collette and Don for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home for our two week stay. Casa Bendita was all we hoped it would be, and staying here was all we hoped it would be - feeling like we belonged to the community rather than just being tourists. Daniel, Clara, and Jose couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We truly appreciated them. Excursions to Guanajuato and Delores Hidalgo with Daniel were informative and enjoyable. He taught us the history of the area, which was most helpful considering we were here during the Bicentennial Celebration of Mexico's Indpendence from Spain. What a beautiful home! It certainly radiates the spirit of the owners. Tastefully decorated & so much attention to detail. It really enriched our experience of this magical city. Far enough from the center that one feels local & near enough to everything to be comfortable. Jose is an amazing gardener & the house so well-kept. This month of March in SMA was a return visit for us, and we were delighted to stay in this wonderful house. It is kept perfect by the loving care of Clara, the housekeeper, and by Jose, the excellent gardener. They are very helpful, by the way, in letting you practice your Spanish. We had a blissful stay Fall of 2009--the pictures are accurate and yet can't quite convey the magic of this house and its neighborhood. One feels at home and yet abroad at the same moment. The community, the household staff, and the house itself are all so welcoming. We recommend it absolutely!!

The location, ambience, and amenities in this house make it a perfect base of operations for a visit to San Miguel. Especially appreciated: each bedroom has its own bathroom, great outdoor spaces wherever you turn, fully equipped kitchen, and superb staff and management. The location is ideal--a short walk to everything, but just far enough away from the busy areas to feel secluded. We recommend this home without hesitation.

This is by far the most beautiful house I have ever rented. Elegant, comfortable and wonderfully laid out. There were three of us all enthusiastic cooks. What a joy to cook in the kitchen. The food shopping in San Miguel is terrific. We took a cooking class the first day and cooked Mexican food every night. The kitchen was big enough for three people to work in and the dining room was perfect. A wonderful vacation at a wonderful house.

This house gave the wonderful experience of floating above the town sitting up on the roof terrace. Never tired of sunsets or morning sounds of San Miguel waking up. Walking through the narrow front door entrance in no way prepares you for the tranquil beauty of the home you are about to enter. It makes for a perfect experience of San Miguel. The location is great. It makes it so nice to walk to the jardin and beyond, and yet be able to come HOME. We have stayed in a lovely hotel before, but to have such a comfortable, and well cared for home to come back to makes the experience feel like you live there. We highly recommend Casa Bendita.

We had the distinct pleasure of living in this wonderful house for one month this summer. The one word which comes to mind is "perfect". The location is perfect. We ventured to San Miguel for my sister's storybook wedding at Casa Schuck, but soon realized that the wedding wasn't the conclusion of the fairy tale...after the wedding, my mother, aunt and I chose Casa Bendita to be our refuge for another week of vacation. Needless to say, it was more than a refuge, more like the lap of luxury! Perfectly located close to town, yet on a quiet and beautiful street, your home allowed us privacy and the opportunity to explore the many fabulous vignettes of San Miguel. Thank you for exceeding our expectations and allowing us the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home we could call "ours" during our stay.

We had a wonderful time in San Miguel de Allende and one of our greatest enjoyments was the stay at the beautiful Casa Bendita. The design and layout of this house are a joy in living, a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, and a most relaxing atmosphere. We were always enchanted to walk in the front door into the courtyard and feel at home. This house is a true gem!

This home was more than we could ever have dreamt of finding for a haven away in SMA -- soothing, accommodating, luxurious, beautifully thought-out, and fully equipped. We felt pampered, cared for, and eager to return each day to the delights of our serene inner surroundings, as well as the wonders that the rooftop terrace offered us, from which we were able to view the magnificent light of late afternoon and Tuscan colors of the city, and where we enjoyed in the early mornings the sounds of church bells, roosters, and experienced cooling and gentle winds. The house lives on in our memories with all of its finely crafted details -- and we immediately reserved it for the following year and for the same amount of time (2 weeks), only sad that it could not be longer.

Callejon Blanco, the most charming street in San Miguel is an appropriate prelude to the beautiful "Casa Bendita".We just returned from San Miguel two days ago, and cannot stop thinking about our time in the house,which suited every need.What impressed us was the quality of all the appointments.The house is exquisitely maintained, and always a refreshing home to come to at the end of the day. Some afternoons we spent on the beautiful terrace , reading , having a siesta, or just embracing the sounds of the village below. The terrace is a large enough space to do a Yoga or Pilates routine. Our cook loved the kitchen, and was able to create wonderful meals because of the variety of new appliances. I don't think there is another house that would offer the elegance and quality of living that Casa Bendita offered us.We also appreciated the proximity to the amenities of the town. We walked everywhere, which eliminated the need for a car. A real pleasure!!!

My husband and I stayed in this lovely and freshly remodeled home with all of our expectations exceeded. Besides having a perfect location (walking distance to the main square and plenty of cathedrals and shops) the home was splendid. Comfortable bed with luxurious baths, full dining room, balconies to die for with fountains and sitting areas, a 360 degree view of the city from the roof balcony (along with a laundry room up top). This is a glorious place to stay with a thumbs-up recommendation.
