This property is located in Long Island Village, a secure gated community located in Port Isabel and is only 1 mile from the Queen Isabella Bridge which is the only bridge to South Padre Island. You can enjoy the restaurants, beaches, nightlife, and shopping and then take the 3 minute trip back to your secure and quiet house on the water.
Long Island Village has a community center with enough activities to keep you busy. Enjoy the indoor or outdoor swimming pools and spas, tennis courts, 18 hole par 3 golf course (minimal charges) ,basketball, fitness center, shuffle board, and putt-putt golf. Many organized games as well such as Euchre, Bingo, Mah-jong, pool and billiards, dances, dinners, and social hours.
Our property is located on the broad Intracoastal Waterway where Shrimp Boats and Dolphins frequently pass. Sit on the deck in your deck chairs, cook a steak on the grill and eat at your table while watching a gorgeous sunset over the palm trees and boats across the waterway. Drop a line off the dock to try for the trout and flounder in these waters. Watch the large barges pass thru the historic "floating bridge" just down the intracoastal from you. If you want to move around you can find almost endless activities at the L.I.V. Golf and Activities center or just take a walk on the quiet streets of the community.
Bring your passport and take a trip to the nearby (less then 1 hour) Mexico border crossings for the special adventure that is negotiating a bargain south of the border. Enjoy the many fishing and boating available on both the shallow waters of the Laguna Madre or venture out into the open water of the Gulf of Mexico.
