This beautiful, secluded, log cabin Chalet situated on a cul de sac on 4+ wooded acres bordering the Catskill State Forest Preserve takes you away from it all...but just minutes from all the action!
THE LOCATION:
Haines Falls, New York (Sunset Park). 2 miles to North Lake/South Lake and Tannersville, 5 miles to Hunter, 12 Windham, 18 Woodstock.
THE CABIN:
Tri-Level Log Chalet, includes three (3) bedrooms / three (3) bath, Loft with two (2) twins, plus one (1) full size sleeper sofa (comfortably sleeps 2-10)
Super immaculate, upscale, private cabin ensures a special and memorable experience.
** The Grand Room with open floor plan includes living room, dining room and kitchen provides great socializing space. Super high cathedral ceilings and massive windows with two sets of double French doors allows for spectacular panoramic mountain views. You’ll feel completely surrounded by nature, but in warmth and cozy comfort.
** The Modern Kitchen is great for chefs! Fully equipped beyond belief! Even includes crock pot/slow cooker, lasagna pans, baking ware, stemware and more! Even help yourself to our full array of gourmet spices and condiments. During the summer enjoy our fresh herb garden located in planters right on the deck (basil, parsley, rosemary and thyme).
** The Main Floor includes a wood stove, full bathroom with tub/shower (plus plenty of plush towels), two bedrooms each with a queen bed and also a full size sleeper sofa. One bedroom has its own private entrance that leads out to the 3/4 wrap around deck. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed.
** The 3/4 Wrap Around Deck perched high in the sky wraps around three (3) sides of the house providing 800 ft of additional living space. Relax in the lounge chairs while you watch the sunset or BBQ on the deck and dine al fresco.
** The Master Suite is truly luxurious with cathedral ceilings, double french doors that lead out to a private balcony and private bathroom/shower and cable TV.
** The Loft includes two (2) twin beds.
** The Billiard Room has three comfy couches, marble tiled bathroom with shower, laundry room including washer/dryer, board games (Scrabble, Backgammon, Chess playing cards, etc.)
** Includes all the Modern Conveniences if you need to stay connect. WiFi throughout the cabin and decks, Premium Cable TV Package (100 channels), DVD/VCR player, DVD Movie Collectio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
** The Parking...plenty of parking located in front of the cabin and directly outside the front door.
AREA ACTIVITIES:
There is something for everyone to do!
Spring/Summer/Fall - You can literally hike right from our front door. North Lake/South Lake is just five minutes away which offers swimming, boat rental (kayaks, canoes, row boats) and hiking (incredible vistas viewed from the Escarpment Trial), Kaaterskill Falls, mountain biking, Hunter Mtn sky ride, great golf courses, driving range/miniature golf, horse back riding, fly fishing, tubing the Escopus River, paint ball, wineries, festivals, Catskill Game Farm, Howe Caverns and more...
Winter - Some of New York finest downhill skiing/snowboarding (and snow tubing) is just seven minutes down the road. You can walk to the snowmobile rental place and sledding hill. There is also a cross country skiing resort just five minutes away.
Antique and art lovers will find treasures galore with Woodstock, Saugerties, Tannersville, Catskill (Thomas Cole House) and Hudson all within close proximity.
Or if you want to just relax, you can curl up with a good book and enjoy breathtaking mountain views while by the fire. There is also cable TV (100 channels), DVD player, Sirius satellite radio, wireless internet access and a pool table to keep you occupied.
If you are looking for excitement, there is a terrific nightlife and fantastic dining right near by. In fact some of our favorite restaurants are just minutes from the cabin.

We're from the NYC metro area and love the quick escape and fantastic outdoor activities the Catskill region offers. We purchased the land in the late '90's and worked hard to make our dream escape become a reality. My husband is one of the finest builders in the Catskills and we spared no expense to make this one of the finest vacation homes in the Hunter/Windham area. It brings us tremendous joy to share with others our beautiful home away from home!
