With aloha we welcome you to the Bamboo Cottage.
We are located on 1 acre of lush gardens at 1,000 foot elevation with views of the ocean and Mt. Haleakala on the neighbor island of Maui.
The trade winds are in constant movement here in North Kohala which creates this soothing sound perfect for any getaway.
Built in 2006, the 500 square foot cottage features bamboo floors and walls, original stain glass work throughout. The memory foam mattress and plush linens are ideal for a luxurious sleep in this peaceful setting. Hawaii's tropical climate is perfect for enjoying an additional shower located outdoors.
Al fresco dining allows you to enjoy the beautiful gardens that surround you. Complimentary welcome 100% Kona coffee, selection of teas and hot cocoa provided along with fresh baked muffins and oatmeal. Fresh cut flowers and seasonal fruit from our abundant garden.

The Unique Benefits at this Vacation Cottage
The Kohala winds along with the sound of the adjacent Kohala stream makes for a very relaxing stay, whether enjoying the lush gardens, bird watching and resident ducks swim, or playing a fun game of croquet with friends in the midst of Coconut Palms, Kona Coffee trees, Avocado trees, Macadamia Nut, Kukui Nut, Papaya, Breadfruit, Fig, Lychee and a large variety of citrus trees just to name a few. The pineapple grove is always a surprise to visitors thriving next to giant bamboo stands and sugar cane.
The beautiful view of Maui which is enjoyed reverently during morning yoga on the Lanai is the perfect way to greet the day.
Sunset is the ideal time for a easy walk along the Kohala Stream Trail where spectacular views sweeping down over the village of Hawi and the coast you see Maui rising out of the Pacific Ocean before your eyes. The view of Mt. Haleakala on Maui bids you a sweet journey to the evening show of brillant stars drapping over you like a tent sparkling with a million diamonds so clear you think you're in a dream.
"The Rock" is open daily except Wednesday for luch and dinner, closing between 3 and 5:30. All sorts of sushi including traditional, new wave and vegetarian. Friday nights enjoy live music.

Aloha I have been traveling to Hawaii and around the world for 24 years as an international flight attendant. Hawaii struck a cord with me when I first visited in 1985. I knew this was where I belonged. My husband, Jeff Noll also traveled and lived abroad having built golf courses internationally and domestically for 18 years and the past 10 years as a General Contractor licensed in the state of Hawaii and Florida. He has restored Historical Homes, renovated ones that need a little love and built dream homes for clients from coast to coast. On his first trip here he definitely shared the same sentiment that this was our destiny. To be here and nurture our lives and this land, with love, creativity and concern for the ecological future of North Kohala. It is a privilege and responsibility we relish. We look forward to sharing our bit of paradise with you.
