My group decided to spend the New Year's weekend at this house and we were so happy to be there. It is a beautiful house with so much comfort and coziness. We loved the stay. The business with the owners is very professional. Looking forward to making business again soon :) highly recommended

We had a great time at Sunset Ridge for five nights the week of August 22nd. The property was as pictured and expected. It was clean and comfortable. There were 9 in our group - two families - 4 adults and 5 kids. The amount of space suited our group well. A huge plus to this property based on others we've rented is the use of the attached garage. It was a great collection point for shoes, coolers, floaties for the lake, etc... It kept all that out of the house giving us more space inside. Our kids loved the hot tub, peddle boat, and canoe and used them a lot. We walked over to Silvercryst beach to use the free passes and enjoyed having that option. Lake Irogami is shallow, but still works well for tubing and skiing behind our pontoon. Misty was great to work with. She is very accomodating and available for questions or concerns. All in all this was a great stay!

Excellent view and accomodations

What a beautiful cabin inside and out. The view of the lake from the living room and spacious deck were incredible and very inviting. We enjoyed golfing at a nearby course within a mile of the cabin, which offered 27 beautiful holes. The local owners of the restaurants and nearby establishments were all very friendly and helpful. Wautoma is a beautiful town and the cabin was just as nice, perfectly addressing the needs and expectations of our group.

Recommended for:People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Sunset Ridge Shines!

Our large family group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Ridge and at Lake Irogami. We felt that the accommodations were precisely as advertised, that the arrival and departure instructions were accurate and helpful, and that we received prompt and helpful attention from Detjens Deluxe Vacation Rentals on the few questions we had prior to and during occupancy, We would readily recommend the Detjens properties to interested Wisconsin vacationers and we would enthusiastically return to Sunset Ridge. Wautoma area restaurants we visited included Gloria's Mesa Verde (fair to poor) and the Moose Inn (Friday night fish-fry---excellent). Lake Irogami is not particularly recommendable for active water sports due to its shallow depth. Good for pontoon boat cruising and fishing.

Moms In Touch Getaway

Our getaway group, consisting of 15 moms from all over the state of Wisconsin, was so blessed to stay at this lakefront home! Everything required to make us comfortable was supplied with this spacious house - linens, towels, kitchen equipment. And the view! Even though our visit was at the time of year when we did not use the outdoors, looking out any window & seeing the lake was fabulous! The house has a variety of spaces. We were able to gather all together as a group, split up into small groups, or spend quiet time on our own. The beautiful setting & well-kept, nicely decorated surroundings put everyone at ease & were very conducive to helping each of us feel at home & comfortable getting to know each other. Misty was great to work with! It's evident that all age groups, as well as types of groups, were considered in the amenities provided. It truly feels like "home". I would definitely recommend this property to any group. It was wonderful to stay at a house that could accommodate a large group under one roof, meet all our needs, & exceed our expectations.

Presidient's weekend ski/snowboard getaway

We have never been disappointed with any rental managed by Misty Detjens. God has gifted her with an ability to transform vacation homes into wonderful havens of beauty, comfort, and serenity. Everything from comfy bedding to decors that make a rental feel so inviting that you hate to leave. This particular rental served our purposes beautifully. We were a crowd of 11 ( give or take depending on the day ), and we all were able to enjoy personal space. Everything you could possibly need was available to us. We had a group of young people with us who thoroughly enjoyed the basement area, and those who preferred a more quiet setting could enjoy the upper level without hearing the noise of the more boisterous younguns. The attached garage was a plus for storage purposes, the second refrig/freezer, and for loading and unloading the car. The washer and dryer were greatly appreciated, as we had some pretty saturated winter wear to deal with. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say, we are already planning for our next trip. Thank you Misty for once again exceeding all expectations.

Ringing In The New Year

We had a great time ringing in the New Year at the Sunset Ridge! There were 18 of us all together and it was perfect! We enjoyed playing Wii on the big screen TV, foosball, games, sledding down the hill, and broom ball on the ice. There was plenty of space and a beautiful view of the lake.

This place was perfect for our family Christmas! We had 11 people staying with several visting family member on different days. Thank you for decorating it so lovely for the season! The accomodations are so homey with lots of room to hang out and talk or play a wide varity of games & the beautiful view of the frozen lake while watching the snow fall.

The Sunset Ridge Lodge worked out so well for our "Hunting Group" we had plenty of living space and down time area. What a pleasant setting! Thank goodness we left the guys to be on their own: This was a perfect place for the girls!

We had a group of 17 people and we all stayed comfortably within in this house. Everyone had a bed, no one was sleeping on an air mattress. The volleyball court in the lake was fun, a little mucky, but nothing that some water shoes couldn't take care of. The lake itself was beautiful and nice and quiet. A very nice change compared to the busy silver lake across the street. This house came with passes to a little private beach resort directly across the street. This was such a added bonus, and really made the trip! All in all, very comfortable house, and Misty was extremely nice to work with!
