It is possible to enjoy a full vacation without ever leaving the Arelauquen resort. From this home, you can walk to golf, ride a horse, play polo, rent a boat or kayak and explore the lakes, go fishing, play tennis and squash, and trek through hundreds of acres of Arelauquen’s nature reserve. You can enjoy 5 restaurants, swim year round in a non-chlorinated (ozone) 25 meter state of the art rim-flow swimming pool, hike and mountain bike for miles along non-motorized private paths through the forest, work out in a state of the art truly complete gym overlooking the polo fields, and take advantage of all the private clubhouse facilities, all at affordable guest rates. If you do leave the resort to explore more of Patagonia, Bariloche is only a stunningly beautiful and very short (15 minute) drive away, as is the famous Catedral ski resort, one of the largest ski/snowboarding resorts in South America. In the spring, it is often possible to ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon because this home is so conveniently located.
This artistic home is all on one level, anchored by a massive two-sided stone fireplace, high ceilings in every room, floors of hand-cut stone, and filled with modern artwork from throughout Latin America.
There are three (3) spacious private suites. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom, and 2 of the suites have private reading rooms. The three suites are separated without any common walls, each with double doors that provide total privacy:
1. Suite One: (Master Suite): One queen size bed, stone fireplace facing the golf course, a very large master bathroom with bidet, toilet, bathtub, separate shower with RainHead, double sinks, granite countertops, and an adjacent separate private reading room/den.
2. Suite Two: One king size bed or 2 twins; bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and bidet, granite countertops, and a separate reading room/den facing the golf course. The reading room can also be set up as another bedroom.
3. Suite Three: 1 queen bed, bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, bidet, facing the garden.
ALSO if you need more sleeping space, there is another bedroom that can accommodate a queen bed or be used as a private reading room, as well as a maid´s room and bathroom located off the kitchen.
The kitchen is a chef's dream, spacious and fully equipped with granite countertops and a central island. The kitchen opens to a dining room and TV area, separated from a formal living room and entry foyer by a massive two-sided stone fireplace. There is also a laundry room with washer, dryer and a large sink.
Outside, attached to the home and facing the golf course, steps from the kitchen, you will find a fabulous barbecue, a stone patio that runs the entire length of the house, and a half acre of mature gardens and spectacular old growth trees.
Weekly maid service, wireless broadband internet access, DirecTV with hundreds of channels, and basic utilities are included.
Unlike many rental houses, this is not just a "house" it is a real home, with complete furnishings, everything you need at your fingertips.
