This cozy, comfy, canal front duplex is located in Port Pine Heights within the Key Deer Reserve where deer roam throughout the area, and will come right up to the front of the residence. It’s a great, quiet, peaceful residential neighborhood. It is situated on ground level, no stilts. There are several wildlife viewing trails in close proximity to the home. These trails offer an opportunity to view key deer, migratory birds, and enjoy viewing some of Florida's natural hardwood hammock.
The residence is near Key West, one of the most Historical cities in the US. You can enjoy a vibrant night out on the town that includes restaurants, nightclubs, and other attractions, and after a short drive return to your peaceful hideaway. The home is VERY clean and well maintained.
There’s a screened patio thats great for your breakfast. Behind the residence sits a canal where you can enjoy viewing fish swim up to the seawall. There is also a neighborhood boat ramp which provides direct boating access to the residence for the duration of your stay. Besides great fishing in the Gulf and/or Atlantic, some of the many local attractions include, diving at Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, kayaking in the backwaters, swimming and snorkeling at Bahia Honda State Park which is only 15 minutes from the residence, and was noted as America’s best beach in 1992.

Why the Owner Chose Big Pine Key
Because its located at the far end of the key this property offers very quiet evenings. At night you'll never hear traffic from US-1. I also really like the residential community around the property; neighbors are friendly and it's a great place for an afternoon walk or run. Another strong selling point, was the fact that their are'nt any bridges to obstruct boating in and out of the residence.
The Unique Benefits at this Duplex
Easy boating access to Big Pine Channel. Lazy afternoons lounging by the sea wall while looking for mangrove snappers. I also enjoy walking around the neighborhood looking for deer, and beautiful birds that frequent the area.

I grew up in Miami and weekends were Island time for our family. As a result, I grew an affinity for the keys and a love for the ocean. I'm an avid spearfishermen, and the lower keys offer some of the best bounty in South Florida. I also love a get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and certainly Big Pine Key offers the serenity and relaxation that I seek on weekends and during summer breaks.
