Relax and recharge in a hidden oceanfront paradise. Wake up to the sound of birdsong in a sunny, bright, passive-solar contemporary. Have breakfast in dappled sunshine on the sitting porch. Walk barefoot through the white pines to the fields that lead to the private beach. Sunbathe on the dock, swim in the balmy water, bring your kayak and explore the cove and island. The small beach is perfect for children. The area is a sailor's paradise with a steady prevailing breeze. Use our mooring for your boat and explore Marion's coves, inner and outer harbors.
This 3 bedroom house was designed by a young architect to maximize benefit of site and solar aspect. It's a unique and lovely house located on a 13 acre property with 3 other houses inhabited by long-term tenants. It's a quiet place and perfect for true relaxation in any season. In winter the sun floods the house, warming the gallery's stone floor.
The house is located in East Marion, in the cove, a private, residential area whose properties open up to the shoreline. The town of Marion is charming, small and centered around the General Store. The roads are flat and perfect for bike riding and running. There's also a public golf course within a mile of the property.
Everyone who visits falls in love with this house and this property. Rent a piece of paradise and let the salt air soothe. The property name is Nepahwin Farm, which means Spirit of Sleep. Indulge in some "porch time" with friends and family. Relax on the dock and watch the boats go by. It's pure bliss!

We were invited to an August wedding in the Marion area, and thought it would provide the opportunity to spend some extra time visiting the Cape, Nantucket, and the nearby south shore area. We booked a week at this lovely, seaside house, and had a wonderful time. We quickly tired of the crowds and commercialism of the Cape, but found the south shore area to be everything we were looking for. The scenery is beautiful, the villages and towns are charming and uncrowded, and the people are as nice and friendly as we have found anywhere. This house is perfect for a relaxed visit, set back in the woods down a private lane, an easy walk down the rolling lawn to the beach and dock. The waterfront is a quiet bay where moored and passing sailboats provide visual tranquility, and the house is the perfect refuge at the end of a day of sightseeing. It is comfortable but not pretentious, clean yet cluttered with every possible kitchen tool and artifacts from years of family life (like my grandmother's house), and always welcoming. We are so thankful to have found this house in such a beautiful area.

We have just had one of the most successful family reunions imaginable, thanks largely to this magnificent property tucked away on a quiet cove about an hour south of Boston. Since our family came from all directions, we had to consider what would be the perfect destination for those coming in from Paris, from Italy, from Florida. And Marion, Massachusetts, was definitely it! The town itself is charming, authentic and welcoming; the property was absolutely perfect and perfectly suited to our needs. Each family unit had its own space when that was needed but also ample room for being together whether that be cooking up a storm in the kitchen, admiring the view from the glassed-in sun porch, deciding which of the television sets would feature a football game and which an opera, or finding a favorite reading chair for a quiet moment of turning everything else off. In each case, the house was a delight: well planned, well heated, well lighted, well stocked with everything one might need. In short, we exclaimed more than once on the very good stroke of luck that had brought us to this corner of the world. And if the place was a joy in the winter, I can well imagine what a Marion summer would be like. Maybe we can plan one for some future day. I can think of nothing that would make our son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, assorted grandchildren - not to mention us, the grandparents - happier! Thank you many times over.
