When we walked into Pearadise, we were ecstatic! The house is roomy, clean and well-furnished. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-stocked. We had 12 people in our party and every person was very satisfied with their room and bathroom accomodations. The deck and all its furnishinging were perfect to relax on and enjoy views of the Russian River. The jacuzzi was large and in a great location to view the river while socializing. We all felt so wonderfully comfortable that we hope to rent Pearadise again next year.

A Great Place for a Quiet Getaway

I would highly recommend Pearadise for a comfortable stay in the Russian River Valley. The house is neat and spacious, spread out over two floors. Our group enjoyed the accommodations as well as the view out the back patios of the river and the surrounding landscape. It's also in a good location to bounce around to wineries without having to drive too far. We did not swim in the river, but it is definitely possible and a very short walk out the back door. The Jacuzzi was a nice way to end the day in relaxation. I would definitely recommend this property and will likely look to come back in the future.

I went to Pearadise with 10 of my friends and my fiance to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had such a great weekend hanging out at the house and visiting wineries. The house is clean, fully stocked and in a great location, and Penny was very easy to deal with. We can't wait to come back in the summer so we can take full advantage of the river!

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I and three other couples stayed at Pearadise in mid October and had a great experience. The house amenities were comprehensive and included a well stocked kitchen for cooking, modern and roomy bedrooms and baths and one of the nicest docks along this stretch of river. The house is well located on River Road just outside of Guerneville and is easily accessible from the 101. We'd definitely stay at Pearadise again and highly recommend it.

A memorablet birthday weekend!

We had a great time at Pearadise for my brother's 40th birthday. The house was even better than the pictures can convey and spacious enough for 12 people to relax in. Directions, instructions from the owner, everything was clear as can be and any questions I had prior to arrival were answered promptly and in detail. We planned initially to spend a full day wine tasting, but ended up just enjoying the house all day. One group enjoyed football upstairs, another watched a movie downstairs, some were in the hot tub, some were fishing and some just lounged on the deck. The river-front location was, in a word, idyllic! We did take a couple of dips in the river, but can't wait to come back during warmer weather so we can take full advantage of the dock. Cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen was easy even for a group of 12, with plenty of place settings and seats for everyone. It was just a perfect location for a perfectly relaxing weekend. Plus the beds were SO comfy! We did an all-adult weekend this time, but the house is already on our summer family vacation list! Thanks Michael & Penny, we'll be back!

A relaxing fun filled week in Pearadise

Pearadise was all it was advertised to be and more. Our family had a really great time in the Sonoma and Napa area centered around this house. We were able to walk to town if we wanted to or just relax at the Stump house brewery for a beer and lunch. The house itself was equipted with everything we needed. There were 6 of us staying there and it was so spacious we were never in each others way. Swimming, kayaking and canoeing in September @85 degrees was great. My brothers found a place to golf every morning, and we all enjoyed the local wineries in the afternoon, and found something to do every night in town. If you are there in september and get to enjoy the Festival in the Woods I highly recommend you go. We had a great time.

Wonderful riverfront home; great location

Pearadise has an excellent location right on the river, only a half mile from downtown Guerneville. The upper deck off of the kitchen/dining area is huge, has great views, and is perfect for outdoor dining. The hot tub on the lower deck feels very private. House is very well maintained and clean. We're repeat visitors and will be back agian.

We had an awesome time at Pearadise over Labor Day weekend. Three families, five small children, and lots of frolicking. The place was super clean, the owners' instructions were clear and concise, and it lived up to our expectations in every respect. And - it was right on the river! Also, walking distance to "downtown" and a short drive to Armstrong Redwoods. It was perfect for our needs, and the owners were fantastic and accommodating.

What started as a birthday weekend for my girlfriend turned into a birthday present for all 10 of us. The house was perfect. The directions to the house were great, the directions to get in and where everything were details and on point as well. We walked into the space and that was part of the fun...IT'S HUGE. We were getting lost while exploring Peardise. We spent most of our time on the deck or on the dock. Not only do they have the canoe and kayak, but there were enough blow up floating devices for an army of people (bring a pump if you have one). I suppose I could go on but I'll just say that everything we needed was there, we were close enough to town if we ran out of anything, and we had a blast. As far as activities and such...WE DIDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE. That's how much fun we were having. Thanks to Peggy and Mike for the hospitality and we will be seeing Peardise again. Probably this fall.

Great Home Away

Our family get-together included 10 folks needing to gather for a wedding in the Guerneville area. The Pearadise home was a great alternative to all other options that we investigated. We completely enjoyed ourselves and our stay; there were no negatives. The home came with many more amenities than we could expect and the setting was very pleasant. Everything we needed was provided and sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee watching the wildlife was exquisite. Great location. We'll definitely be back.

Perfect Weekend Girls Getaway

I would highly recommend staying at "Pearadise." The house was awesome - loved the kitchen space and dining area. Great for our group of 12. The deck was great too, although it was raining the weekend I was up there, so didn't get to use it to it's full capacity. I can imagine it being great for a bbq, sun bathing, cocktail hour overlooking the river (the heat lamps are a bonus), etc. All of the amenities you could want/need were supplied. Plus, made great use of the hot tub, dock down to the river and the kayaks. Also great was the location to downtown Guerneville - a very quick drive, but also very walkable. The location on the river was also prime - gorgeous setting. Would most definitely go back for another summer vacation.

women's weekend stay, 2011

Our favorite part of the house was the beautiful bedding in each bedroom, especially the two main bedrooms upstairs. The outdoor deck was sunny much of the day which made it very pleasant. Living room was under-utilized because it was removed from the kitchen area where people wanted to hang out, and thus the corridor near the kitchen & bathroom often got crowded. Dock was lovely! People were out swimming, kayaking & fishing (and caught one nice-sized trout). Downstairs felt cold and dark and people didn't like to hang out there much. We walked into town on two trips and it was great to be able to do that. Would definately reccommend for a large-ish gathering. Thanks, Mike & Penny!

We're glad to hear that you were able to have lots of outside time in spite of the less than perfect weather (which is very unusual for May.) We've also noticed that adults tend to want to gather around the kitchen, redwood bar area and sunny upper deck; the downstairs "game" room with the big flat screen TV is usually used as a theater room or video game hangout for any kids/teens in the group; heating for this room is on a system that is separate from the upstairs. Wonderful property, especiallly for a large group even with kids. Kitchen is well equiped for cooking in. Deck is fantatic, overlooking the Russian River. Beds are super comfortable--really! I didn't expect that from a rental house! If I can get a group together again soon, I will be back.

The house is in a great location, right on the river, and everything is clean and well maintained to make your stay fantastic. The layout is really perfect for two families traveling together. The upstairs makes a great adult area, while the downstairs, with a bunch of bedrooms and it's own living room, can be the kid area. The deck is absolutely beautiful! Better late than never

This is kind of a late review...We stayed at this home in Aug 2010...And it was one of the better family trips that my family and I have been on. We had 8 adults and 3 kids and it was phenomenal! So much space and so many hideouts that no one was ever in the same room at the same time! Great views and so close to everything we needed. If you choose to stay, don't miss out on Johnson's Beach! This beach is so nostalgic and reminded me of what a family vacation should be. The house was equipped with everything x2, the photos of this house are right on and property is very well maintained and clean, not to mention the garden with tons of edibles! The Redwoods were only about a 5-10 minute drive from the property and there are several restaurants in the nearby town, this town is small and walking distance to a lot of the stores and the main street. There was a great natural food store in town and being vegan they carried several items that we did not bring with us. Only about an hours drive in to San Francisco which is a nice day trip. Plenty of wineries and breweries, so something for EVERYONE! Honestly this place was TERRIFIC can't say enough! Thanks Penny and Mike! Hope to be back soon! Penny and Mike were fantastic to work with and Penny is so detailed so no details were left out! Thanks Penny and Mike for a wonderful time and hope to work with you in the future!

Our group had a terrific time in Penny & Mike's home. It was very spacious and the beds were really comfy and warm. We visited in October and weren't really prepared for the cold weather. We stayed toasty warm though, in the house. The kitchen was stocked really well with everything we needed and the diningroom had plenty of room for our party of 7. There were several little hiding places for people to go when they needed their quiet time away from the group. This really helped to keep the peace and made for a terrific get-away for everyone. The house is very close to a variety of wineries and shopping. Thanks so much Penny & Mike for sharing your home!

Penny -- We just arrived home in Santa Barbara and wanted to tell you that we had such a lovely time at the Pearadise! Mom and I had the pleasure of opening and closing the house, and we got to see everyone (since the family schedules didn't all exactly coincide). The house was perfect. We LOVED the kitchen (which was amazingly stocked with appliances and dishes and cookware) and deck especially, and spent lots of time down on the dock. I took my extended family here for a vacation that had something for everybody! A river to fish in, swim around in, canoe in (thanks to the house toys) in, walk about, winery visit, a hugely stocked kitchen to cook in, comfy beds for everybody, and all the amenities you could ask for. This is such a great place we plan to return. I was amazed at the quality of the place, and so appreciated the stuff in the house that we could use, even life jackets. Not a single complaint! Some of my close family and friends recently rented Pearadise to celebrate my 30th Birthday. We had a magnificent time. The house was beautiful, well-kept, and completely well-equipped. My sister and best friend drove up from los angeles, and they kept saying how the long drive was worth it. The river was magnificent and we happily floated, canoed, and kayaked up and down. In addition, the owners were very prompt with answering questions, providing information, and returning the deposit. Pearadise in Guerneville is a great place to bring the family. You will not need to bring much as the house is very well stocked. Lots of room to make yourself at home. Very welcoming and comfortable. My family enjoy there stay we just wish it could have lasted longer. We'd give it 5 stars.
