Fantastic apartment!

My husband and I stayed in the Vesuvio Suite in early June. We could not have wished for anything better- the apartment being superior to the photos (if that is possible), and the location absolutely perfect. Sorrento itself is somewhere you don't want to leave- we hope to visit again and again!! This is definitely the place I will be recommending to friends visiting next year!

Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We Love Magi House!

My husband and I stayed at Magi house for our anniversary trip to Sorrento. We stayed in the Penthouse and our room was top notch. It was cleaned daily and provided everything we needed including a kitchen and private veranda. The staff at Magi House could not be more accommodating or charming. They made our trip absolutely perfect and we have already referred them to friends visiting Italy next year. We will definitely go back.

Sorrento Heaven

We visited multiple cities in Europe and staying at the Magi House in Sorrento was the highlight of our trip! The Magi House was better than any hotel we stayed. We even canceled part of our trip in Rome to stay at Magi House an extra night! We stayed in the large suite with the kitchen (Vesuvio Suite) and was very comfortable. The location is incredible; beach, shopping, restaurants are all walking distance. The suite is very clean, quiet and relaxing. The terrace on the roof is also really nice. Mariano is the owner and is an excellent host! Mariano was very helpful letting us know where to go eat and places to see. Next time we come to Sorrento we will definitely be staying at the Magi House! There is a great English pub (not expensive) across from the Magi House that has good food, drinks and the owner is very nice.

The Magi House is definitely the place to vacation in Sorrento. The rooms are clean, new, quiet, and tasteful. The location is central, convenient, and within walking distance to food, shopping, and all other destinations. The host, Mariano, is your personal concierge with information and recommendations for your stay. We stayed in the Magi House (Vesuvio suite) for part of our honeymoon and it turned out to be the highlight by far. We are on the picky side when it comes to vacation accommodations but this met and surpassed all our expectations. If you are trying to decide between this and a hotel, choose the Magi House. It is worth it to have the location and feel of a home complete with a small but very functional kitchen.

My husband and I recently stayed at Magi House in the larger of the 3 suites. It was absolutely stunning. Our host, Mariano has done a first class job at renovating Magi House. It is in a central distance. We even used the roof top terrace after a day sightseeing. The peace and tranquility was so relaxing. We would definitely recommend Magi House to all our friends and will look to stay there again.

Comment Text: We stayed in the Vesuvius suite earlier this month and I can't praise the place enough. Mariano, the owner, just renovated the space in August, so everything is modern. Although the building has old world charm, the apartment has all the conveniences of home, including a spacious bathroom and tub, which was wonderful to relax in after a day of sightseeing. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but close to everything -restaurants, shopping, train station, ferries, and rental car companies. Mariano was the perfect host and very helpful with everything - our stay in Sorrento was our favorite and the credit goes to Mariano. We mentioned his name a few times at restaurants and stores and invariably received free after dinner drinks or discounts on store purchases, so he's definitely well-liked in the community. On our last day, we felt like part of the neighborhood, bidding our goodbyes to the locals on the street, which is how we like to travel. We'll definitely be back to Sorrento, hopefully next year when our nephew is studying in Italy, and will be staying at the Magi again. I wanted to keep this gem to ourselves, but that wouldn't be fair to Mariano or other travelers. I just hope there's room for us - we'll keep our dates flexible for that reason!

We just returned from a wonderful stay with Mariano at the Magi House's Dominova Suite. Mariano is a gracious host who helped us immensely when we had an issue with a wallet. We will be forever grateful to him for his kindness. Mariano has renovated the Magi House to perfection. We (2 adults, 1 child) stayed in the smaller suite and were quite comfortable. The location is perfect for being in Old Town Sorrento with everything in walking distance. The train/bus station is 10 minutes walking (we walked with our rolling luggage with no problem), a quaint park and sea overlook is one block away and shops and restaurants are literally at your door step. Getting to Pompeii by train was simple and if you would like to go to Capri, the hydrofoil is easily accessible. We highly recommend Mariano's Magi House!
