My family and I had a wonderful week at Burren Haven Cottage. The views were amazing (Cliffs from the sunroom windows) and the cottage had everything we needed. We were also lucky enough to have wonderful weather. The photos are exactly how you will find the cottage - immaculate and cozy. Katherine was very helpful about our arrival time (very late on a Saturday evening) and had a wonderful little package of goodies waiting for us. Our kids loved the backyard and our oldest (4 years) was entertained by the naughty horse in the backfield. There were plenty of activities in the area to keep us busy but it was also nice to relax at the cottage and enjoy the peace and quiet. We took several walks along the Burren Way which is just down the road. And Mountainview Horse Riding is not to be missed (just around the corner)! Doolin is a short ride away. We spent a wonderful night listening to music in Fitzpatrick's Restaurant - great food and atmosphere. The only thing we were a bit surprised by was the heating costs - whooo! The Irish pay a lot! (Inquire about an estimate!!) Other than that - an amazing trip!

We are frequent visitors to Doolin / West Clare and this was our first stay at Burren Haven. Over the last 14 years we have stayed at other cottages and B&B's and can easily say that this is one of the nicest accommodations we have had to date. The cottage is very clean and modern and has everything you could need while on holiday in Doolin. Kathrine is a gracious host and left a welcome basket of food to get us started and even offered a local cell phone to use during our stay. We spent our evenings sitting in the sun room or relaxing by the fire after knocking around the Burren all day. If you don't feel like cooking dinner (which we didn't most nights) Doolin, Lisdonvarna, Liscannor, and Lahinch are all within easy striking distance for good food and the occasional pint. If you are considering a stay here don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

Burren Haven Cottage was everything we expected. The home is comfortably appointed, the kitchen well equipped, and the photos on the website don't really do it justice. It is off the "beaten path" and if you want quiet space and room to roam you couldn't ask for more. We had a wonderful time exploring Ireland's County Clare and visiting pubs and shops. Wish we didn't have to leave!

Thanks so much for your generous hospitality and you fabulous cottage. It made our trip to Ireland most enjoyable. Using your cottage as a home base we travelled all over the west coast and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

If you are looking for a place to center your Irish vacation, this is the perfect "home". The cottage itself fits the description by the owner. Great view, lots of windows, modern and very well maintained. Katherine was very accessible before, during and after our trip! We have never been to Ireland before, and Katherine proved to be an excellent "Irish expert" on places to visit, eat and see. This is a home for those who want access to fantastic resturants, pubs, and activities, but don't want to be right in the middle of them. We would without a doubt recommend this Irish home for the perfect Hoilday! If you do decide to stay here, don't miss out on a boat ride to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. A beautiful, well appointed house in an incredible setting! Can't think of any place in the world more beautiful! North Clare is certainly the place to be. We had planned to travel to other counties but there is so much to see and do in the surrounding countryside that we didn't get time to go further afield. Loved Burren Haven Cottage with views from every window.

MYself, husband, 16 month old son, parents, sister and brother-in-law vacationed here from various locations in the U.S. I loved the view from Katherine's cottage and the location. The cottage itself is beautiful and spacious. She had accomodations for all age groups. You can see the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher from the sitting room and the house was located maybe a five minutes drive from Doolin. I would recommend this cottage.

Burren Haven Cottage was the perfect place to stay for our family of 5! We had a memorable Easter Holiday filled with education, exercise, entertainment & excitment! Katherine, One of the best parts of my 'midlife crisis excursion' was staying at your place in Doolin! The place is just as advertised: bright, huge, with incredible views of the Cliffs and the Aran Islands. I really appreciate your meeting us in Lisdoonvarna and guiding us in.
