What to do when you are not enjoying the beach....
Visit the Quietwater Beach Boardwalk. This shopping and dining complex is located on the Sound Side of the beach. Here you will find unique specialty stores such as Go Fish Clothing, The Bead Shoppe where you will be able to make a great vacation souvenir, Alvin’s Island Tropical Department Store and many more.
You will also find great night time fun at Capt’ Fun and Flounder’s. Both of these lively places overlook the water and are great on a breezy summer night.
For lunch or dinner walk over to Crabs by the public beach access and then enjoy the Dock afterwards for some local color.
For a fun active day at the beach visit Key Sailing. They offer sailboats, pontoon boats, wave runners, kayaks and parasailing. When you journey along the Pensacola Bay you can see many historical landmarks such as the Pensacola Lighthouse, the ruins of Fort Pickens, a massive pre-civil war era fort, and Fort McRee. Fort Pickens is open to boaters, hikers and bikers. For an over night adventure, Fort McRee is an ideal place to anchor overnight and enjoy your catch of the day.
Bring your bicycle with you and explore the area too! If you did not bring your bicycle with you, you may rent them at the Marina, Tiki Island or Casino Beach.
Taking a fishing trip is always a great way to spend your day. Pensacola is home to the world’s largest artificial reef, the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany was laid to rest 22.5 miles southeast of the Pensacola Pass.
For a great spa day, head over to Fusion. This Aveda Lifestyle Spa and Salon is a great place to be pampered.
The Gulf Breeze Zoo is also close by to Pensacola Beach. This zoo has more than 1200 animals. You are able to hand feed the giraffes (my favorite!), visit the goats, cows & sheep at the petting zoo or take the Safari Train which takes you through 30 acres of free roaming wildlife.

Not only was this condo clean and extremely spacious, it was very affordable, the location was excellent, and the pool was heated making it a huge with the kids during a winter month! The decor was wonderful and furnishings comfortable. We stayed here with 6 adults and 2 children and never felt crowded due to such a large space. This corner unit has amazing views, tons of natural light from floor to ceiling windows, and is an all around perfect getaway place! I would recommend this unit to anyone and hope to visit again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This place was very nice. The bedrooms were excellent size. The view is awesome and the master bedroom/bath was great. Pools were cleaned everyday along with the deck and the common areas. We would stay here again in a minute and the price was perfect!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
