SUNNY FRONT PORCH AND WATERFALL
Enjoy coffee or tea and read on the sunny front deck while you listen to the waterfall....or sit and sun on the boulders next to the falls.
CUSTOM KITCHEN
The kitchen, living room, and dining room was designed with a open space, great-room feel. The full kitchen has a microwave and oven. Prep meals while conversing with your company from the Delicatus Granite Kitchen Island with prep sink. Kitchen has filter water and instant hot faucet. The large refrigerator has a chilled filtered water and ice dispenser.
GREAT ROOM/ LIVING ROOM
The living room leather sectional seating for five. Record your favorite shows with the TIVO DVR. The 47" LED LCD HDTV has additional speaker sound. An easy-to-use gas fireplace keeps this house toasty. Guests can watch the TV from the island seating and the dining room.
RADIANT FLOOR HEATING - CEILING FANS
All bedrooms and baths have radiant heating in the floors. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and lights that dim.
MASTER BEDROOM AND ONYX MASTER BATH
The master bedroom has a California King Bed and a 40"-flat-screen TV/DVR. An iPOD dock is included in the stereo. The speakers can be turned toward the patio outside for outdoor music. The adjoining bath has a romantic tub, two shower heads, and walls of backlit Honey Onyx.
SECOND BEDROOM
The second guest room has a Queen Bed and pull-out trundle bed for a child. It also has a flat-screen TV. It accesses a patio with a table and two chairs overlooking lush landscaping.
MARBLE HALL BATH
Has Breccia Onaciata marble tiles, dual showers and large six foot tub.
THIRD BEDROOM
The third bedroom has a King Bed. Its separate door accesses the back patio and back lawn.
FOURTH BEDROOM
Has adjustable heated travertine floors. One Queen bed, lovely afternoon sun comes thru the sliding glass doors overlooking deck and lush yard. Ceiling fan.
THIRD BATH
Has an Indio Marfil Marble surround, large tub and shower.
OUTSIDE SHOWERS
Take a hot shower outside after a day at the beach. We have wetsuits, boogie boards, fins, cooler and umbrella that you can borrow too.
MUSIC AND DOGS
We are in a family-friendly neighborhood, so please keep quiet outside after 10 pm. There are many great dog walking paths here, and several beaches where dogs are allowed!

The Unique Benefits at this House
We have an awesome fire pit to roast marshmallow and make smores, or use the little red wagon to take your picnic to the beach. Fires are allowed on Moran Beach until 10pm. Hose off the sand under our outdoor hot shower.
Check out the beautiful view and surf from this location. There are stairs to the beach between the last and second to the last house on the left.
Get some pizza from Pleasure Point Pizza just up the street and take it to the picnic table here and watch the ocean and the people!
Ask us for better directions to the grove of eucalyptus trees where the monarchs overwinter.

Actually our dog, Popo, decided on the location for the house. He loved that it was so close to Moran, Rockview and Pleasure Point beaches... and the large eucalyptus grove walking trail/park at Moran lagoon with birds and butterflies. There are showers and picnic tables where someone always has food!
He and his canine buddies chart every low tide so that they can walk the shores down to the cute town of Capitola. (Leash up and take the stairs though before you get to the wharf). Don't miss the walking path next to the river.

Imagine sitting on the porch on a sunny Christmas morning enjoying hot cocoa. Imagine a rental that is very clean, well equipped, AND as dog friendly as it gets. Imagine toasty floors that greet you in the morning as you rise to make that perfect cup of coffee. Imagine owners that kind, thoughtful, and generous. Imagine sitting back in a high-end massage chair after your dog has tuckered you out at the beach which is only 2 blocks away. Imagine walking a few more blocks and watching the surfers tame the waves, or hopping on one of the bicycles at the house and rolling over to Capitola. Imagine falling to sleep with the sound of nearby crashing waves and the fragrant smell of eucalyptus. Imagine all of that and you'll just begin to guess at the joy of staying at this rental. We couldn't have had a better stay and we highly recommend this delightful home for your next vacation.

I rented this house for a group of 8 friends for a weekend getaway. It was the ideal amount of space, both indoors and out. The yards are beautiful. Backyard has two separate tables, each with its own set of chairs, plus a a firepit to boot. Given good weather this yard is a tremendous asset in your stay. I imagine this house would be wonderful for 3-4 couples or 2-3 families to split as well. It's a short walk to the beach, and the outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off and not track your mess inside. The owner was also very easy to work with.
Recommended for:Pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Very pleasant house in great close- to- beach area. It was a good size with nice kitchen and bathrooms. Very nice fenced in front yard with very comfortable porch and "sleeping" couch. Outdoor shower was perfect after the beach. The house was clean and well maintained and Irene very helpful. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing low key vacation. If you get tired of cooking go over to Cliff Cafe for a good breakfast or Gayle's in Capitola. Great ice cream at Marriann's in Capitola also.

Our family recently stayed in this beautiful beach home in Santa Cruz. The home is beautiful with all amenities and has a perfect location! The home was everything and more that was promised. I would highly recommend this beach home. Oswald's restaurant and Gayle's Bakery were fantastic. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I really loved staying at The Santa Cruz House! Irene was great to deal with, the house was fully stocked, beds were very comfortable, short walk to the beach, and most of all....our kids loved the massage chair even our teenagers. Thank you Irene for providing a beautiful home away from ours.

We couldn't have asked for anything better. The home was perfect and had every amenity you could imagine and every kitchen gadget you could imagine. Location was perfect as we were close to town and shops and only 2 blocks from the beach. You could hear the waves crashing at night while we were roasting marshmallows. We had 12 people in the home, 10 adults and 2 children under the age of 3 and a dog and had plenty of room. Front porch was awesome for morning coffee and watching the kids and dog play in the yard. Irene was wonderful and easy to work with. Thank you. We will be back!

This house is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is a joy for several helpers to be working at the same time. Short walk to the ocean. Fabulous outside dining and lounging areas. The massage lounge chair was a big hit. Enough parking for several cars.

Had a fabulous time staying in this place - my family nicknamed the house "Good Vibrations" as the energy is amazing here, and everyone was constantly taking turns on the massage chair!! Beautiful home, close to the beach, and lovely xs sitting out on the porch!

yes! perfect, beautiful and relaxing house. communication was great with the owner. attention to detail is apparent as everything you would want/need is taken care of. great if you are a surfer too, just steps to pleasure point and the other breaks... love the dog beach also. one of the best places we have rented in santa cruz... thanks so much for a terrific place to rent!

Spent a wonderful week in this lovely home, since this was our first trip to California the experience was wonderful. This house has everything that the listing explains, the flowers and landscaping is very nice, the home has a very cozy and warm feeling , quiet and friendly neighborhood. Eleven of my family memebers spent the week in this home to attend a wedding , we all enjoyed the home , short walk to the beach, firepit to toast marshmallows, the gas grill for bbq's ,enjoyed setting on the front porch, convenience of the washer and dryer . Short distance to Capitola and Santa Cruz Boardwalk . The owner is a wonderful person any questions that we had she was available to answer questions before our trip and during our stay, The wedding couple had rented a home within walking distance to our rental so that made it nice. Everything was so wonderful with this home everyone hated to leave , looking forward to going back to rent from this owner again . I highly recommend this home for your next vacation.
