  Hi Anne: I'm sorry this is a little late getting to you but have been trying to adjust again back into the workforce. We wanted to thank you for opening your home to us at the Papakea. We had a wonderful time. We met a number of very nice people when at the pool and social hours. The weather cooperated also. I think the hi lite were the whales. So many of them and the neatest scene we had was right in front of the Papakea. We hope to be able to use your home again some time. Thank you once again.

  Though we have visited Papakea many times in the last several years, this was our first stay in this condo and building. We were pleased with all aspects of this rental unit. Because we value an oceanfront experience, we were a little concerned about the location of this particular building. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful view from this condo. We were able to see whales from the lanai while admiring the gorgeous grounds below. The southern exposure provided us much-needed sun absorption daily, yet it was easy to keep the condo cool by closing the doors and drapes in the afternoons. (We rarely turned on the air conditioner!) The interior of the unit was nicely updated with modern appliances and showers. We thought the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and our daughters appreciated having their own twin beds in the second bedroom. The living room was spacious enough to erect an artificial, 4.5 foot Christmas tree and to celebrate the holiday comfortably with two additional family members. The kitchen was well-stocked, so cooking full-course meals was a breeze. We will definitely look in to renting this condo in the future and will recommend it to others. While we love Papakea for many reasons (oceanfront resort, beautiful grounds, laid-back atmosphere, proximity to beach, nearby stores...), we are convinced that this condo is a great value for our needs at this resort. Though we were accustomed to a direct oceanfront location, we loved that the building was very quiet (away from parking lot) and that it gave us a direct view and easy access to the pool below. Lastly, the owners were extremely helpful and accommodating on all levels. They obviously take pride in their beautiful Papakea home, and we feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at such a well-cared for condo in paradise!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

  Anne, Dennis and I were renting your unit from Oct.6 to Oct 16th. We saw many of the same things you did. The rainbow on that day was beautiful. The windsurfing at Ho’okipa near Pa’ia we also saw. We ate at the Flat Bread Pizza Restaurant in Pa’ia. We went all over the island, but we did not go to Hana. We had already been to Oahu and Kauai and I was pretty tired by the time I got Maui. We loved Big Beach. Actually Anne, we enjoyed your unit the best of all the places we stayed. It is great that you are improving the air conditioning in G 407. If we ever go back to Papakea, we would love to stay at G 407. Sending some pictures. Donna Edmonton , Alberta

  Aloha Anne, Once again, we would like to extend a big, warm "MAHALO" to both of you for welcoming us to stay at your lovely condo. We had an absolutely wonderful 2 weeks and enjoyed so many happy OHANA memories together!! We are having such a wonderful time. We absolutely love sitting on the lanai in the morning and evening, listening to the waves, and watching the amazing sunsets! I want to bring the waves home with us! We did a Molokini snorkel trip today and saw all kinds of interesting fish and an eel too. We also want to thank you for all of your Maui hints. If it wasn't for you, we never would have known where to go to find turtles - and yesterday, we had an extraordinary turtle finding snorkel morning at Honokeana Cove! We LOVE the turtles and we found so many of them! Our kids were so excited and we are going to go back to find more. They are SO big and we took photos of them too! I have many more stories, but I want to get back out to enjoy the sunshine, so I'll write more another time. Is it 'a hui hoo' which means 'one more time?' We would love to know because we want to come back to stay here again!! MAHALO again!!! Oh, we already miss the lanai and the waves crashing on the shore, and the warm weather... we definitely plan to go back to Maui, and we will not settle for any other place but yours.   Aloha Anne! Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Maui…we returned to New York yesterday after a very long day of flying. The condo was great, the concierge staff was fabulous. and I think we did everything possible there was to do during our stay. We only had one problem the whole time…we stayed far too long at the back end of the Road to Hana and ended up driving the road back in the pitch dark and rain. That was unnerving! Other than that we had great time, and we thank you for your hospitality! Mahalo! (We learned to say that a few hundred times) Regards, Mike & Joyce Kyle, Brendan & Evan

  Thank you Anne & Wes, renting from you was THE BEST. NEVER have we received such great and accurate information on a rental. Used very little AC, slept better and location is perfect. We met nice people, enjoyed Papakea and some of us did all the touristy things they could stand. For me Papakea was all I needed! Kimos for dinner, local restaurant in Wailuku, Tasty something for Banana Pancakes, lunch at Mamas Fish House, grilling fresh fish by the pool and singing RED SOLO CUP many times. What could be better? We shall return. Thank you both. Dw

  Aloha Anne, A few pics from our WONDERFUL Maui vacation! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo! It really works perfectly with my mother using the loft, although her favorite spot is sitting, reading and relaxing on your lanai.:) Starting to plan maybe next year, just not sure of exact dates.   Hi Anne and Wes, Well, we have been home a month and are still in the Hawaiian mood! Dan, Glenda, Sharon and I had a wonderful vacation and your condo was a perfect base of operations for our trip. The resort is very well maintained -there is definite pride in ownership there. We were fortunate to see a pod of whales from the lanai once and turtles many mornings. The sunsets were beautiful every evening. We had some great planned days with the help of Troy -including zip-lining and the sunrise at Haleakala and bike tour down but saved a few adventures for our next trip to Maui! There are other parts of the world we'd like to see but we definitely would love to return to Maui and stay at your beautiful condo. Mahalo, Jeff and Sharon
