Aloha! We completed an extensive remodel in May 2008. Our kitchen is completely new, and a 2nd full bathroom has been added upstairs in our loft. These are both VERY nice and were done to our high standards since we have never considered our condo "just a rental." It's our second home, the only "2nd home" we have. So, like our beautifully remodeled master bathroom on the main level, the new loft bathroom is a terrific addition with a large, open area, a pedestal sink, and a lovely tile shower with river rock floor and glass door like the one in our master bath. In the kitchen, there are granite countertops and backsplash, all-new maple cabinets, a full-sized dishwasher, and a full-sized refrigerator with French doors on the top half for the refrigerator and then a drawer on the bottom that is the large freezer. We know that our guests, both past and future, will love the remodeled condo. Here is more information about our condo and its location:
Our beautiful, open, and spacious 4th-floor condo has vaulted ceilings and is air-conditioned for your comfort. There is cool-to-the-feet, 18-inch tile throughout the main level, including the lanai. Our condo is G-407, second closest unit to the ocean, which makes it a favorite with our guests. From our lanai, you'll have a 180-degree view, which includes the Pacific Ocean with Lana'i and Moloka'i Islands in the distance, the pool/Jacuzzi/barbecue area, the putting greens, the gardens and koi ponds, and the West Maui Mountains. Our guests particularly comment on the variety of views they have at any time of day or night.
Our condo sleeps six very comfortably with a king-size master bed, a new queen-size sofa sleeper with a 6-inch, pillow-top mattress, and new twin beds in the loft area that can be made into a second king-size bed if you prefer. Our master bathroom is a one-of-a-kind design with a glass-block shower for two, a tropical rain shower, and a kitchen-height countertop. Our spacious loft has new carpeting and bedroom furniture, and there are beautiful new plants and artwork in every room.
Our living room has a wall of mirrors which reflect the ocean and all the outside beauty of Papakea no matter where you are in the condo. Dining options include the bar, the dining table, or outdoors on our lanai as you watch spectacular sunsets.

Why the Owner Chose Papakea Resort
Papakea Resort has been special to me, Anne, since I first rented there in 1979 when I was teaching English. A student's parents owned a unit there. I had lived on O'ahu as a child, and the spirit of aloha was everywhere for me on Maui. It soon became an annual vacation spot. Wes and I married in 1997, and we bought our condo in 1998. It is our second home now, and we want your visits to be special, comfortable, and memorable in the very best ways.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Papakea is an oasis, a relaxing and beautiful place that is the perfect base for exploring all the possibilities in Maui. It has so many wonderful amenities and a very nurturing atmosphere. Three-time guests said it is their sanctuary and retreat.
We walk to Black Rock on the beach every morning and have a swim. It's three miles RT and a beautiful way to start the day!
Also called West Maui Airport, just two miles from Papakea. It's a very small and convenient shuttle airport if you go through Honolulu. It's also an exciting landing and take-off!
Our favorite beach for big-wave swimming. It has a deep-water shore break so that you can drop to the bottom and not get "Maytag'd" and a smooth bottom so you don't hurt your feet. Fun!
This is the main airport on Maui and where you will most likely fly into. After you get your rental car, follow the signs to Lahaina, via Dairy Road.
Come out on Keolani Place, Hwy. 380 (or Kahului Airport Road), to the first light and turn left onto Hwy. 37 or Hale'akala Hwy. You will see the Costco from the stoplight.

Anne and Wes; We have now returned home and back to work after a wonderful Hawaiian vacation. Thanks in large part to your wonderful condo, our family holiday was a roaring success as it was wonderful getting our little family together. The Papakea is a wonderful family oriented resort. Our kids gave us a wonderful present by hiring a professional photographer to take family photos. Notwithstanding the unsettled weather, our pictures turned out great and we were successful in having some with the famous Hawaiian sunset. Just a quick note to say that we loved staying in your beautiful condo. Even though there was just the two of us and we didn't use the upstairs at all, we really enjoyed being on the top floor and liked the spaciousness of the vaulted ceilings. Your recent remodel was fantastic, and your "Maui Hints" was quite helpful. We walked to Black Rock everyday so rewarded ourselves with treats a couple of times. Papakea is such a beautiful place, the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pools/jacuzzis are the perfect temperature. We are already trying to figure out when we can travel to Maui again.
