Aloha! We completed an extensive remodel in May 2008, and our condo was featured in the 2009 tour of remodeled condos at Papakea Resort. Our kitchen is completely new, and a 2nd full bathroom has been added upstairs in our loft. These are both VERY nice and were done to our high standards since we have never considered our condo "just a rental." It's our second home, the only "2nd home" we have. So, like our beautifully remodeled master bathroom on the main level, the new loft bathroom is a terrific addition with a large, open area, a pedestal sink, and a lovely tile shower with river rock floor and glass door like the one in our master bath. In the kitchen, there are granite countertops and backsplash, all-new maple cabinets, a full-sized dishwasher, and a full-sized refrigerator with French doors on the top half for the refrigerator and then a drawer on the bottom that is the large freezer. On each trip we make to the condo, we upgrade and improve. April 2010, we bought a beautiful new lanai furniture set which includes a glider love seat and a 40-inch, slate and glass table with SO comfortable chairs that swivel for your 180-degree viewing pleasure. September 2010, we mounted a new flat-screen TV above the master BR door and installed two signal amplifiers for the cable in the LR and master BR for perfect reception in both locations. April 2011, we mounted a 37-inch, flat-screen TV in the living room and linked it to a new Blu-ray DVD player and put in a new ceiling fan up in the loft. We know that our guests, both past and future, will love the remodeled and constantly upgraded condo. Here is more information about our condo and its location:

Our beautiful, open, and spacious 4th-floor condo has vaulted ceilings and is air-conditioned for your comfort. There is cool-to-the-feet, 18-inch tile throughout the main level, including the lanai. Our condo is G-407, second closest unit to the ocean, which makes it a favorite with our guests. From our lanai, you'll have a 180-degree view, which includes the Pacific Ocean with Lana'i and Moloka'i Islands in the distance, the pool/Jacuzzi/barbecue area, the putting greens, the gardens and koi ponds, and the West Maui Mountains. Our guests particularly comment on the variety of beautiful views they have at any time of day or night.

Our condo sleeps six very comfortably with a king-size master bed, a new queen-size sofa sleeper with a 6-inch, pillow-top mattress, and new twin beds in the loft area that can be made into a second king-size bed if you prefer. Our master bathroom is a one-of-a-kind design with a glass-block shower for two, a tropical rain shower, and a kitchen-height countertop. Our spacious loft has new carpeting and bedroom furniture, and there are lovely new flowers and artwork in every room.

Our living room has a wall of mirrors which reflect the ocean and all the outside beauty of Papakea no matter where you are in the condo. Dining options include the bar, the dining table, or outdoors on our lanai as you watch spectacular sunsets.

*Note: Papakea Resort will be undergoing an Exterior Renovation Project, beginning in the spring of 2012, EXCLUDING high season dates between pre-Christmas and post-Easter. Our building is NOT affected this year. Of the 11 buildings on property, only one or two will be affected at a time. The improvements will include replacing lanai railings and floors, applying a waterproof sealant, spalling repairs and repainting the exterior. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm. Contact owner for the schedule of affected buildings and ask about our incentive discounts in 2012.
