Mahalo Anne & Wes: We had a wonderful time in Maui. Your condo is everything the pictures showed. You have everything we could have wanted or needed. We ate in most of the time. John BBQ,D. The lani is great. The high furniture is wonderful. No having to look through the railing. We had all our meals there. It was fun for people watching, very entertaining. The construction noise was not a problem. It was interesting to watch their progress. We were very pleased there was an opening for us in May. Thanks for the use of your condo.

Hi Anne and Wes, Well, we've been home a month and are still in the Hawaiian mood! Dan, Glenda, Sharon and I had a wonderful vacation and your condo was a perfect base of operations for our trip. The resort is very well maintained -there is definite pride in ownership there. We were fortunate to see a pod of whales from the lanai once and turtles many mornings. The sunsets were beautiful every evening. We had some great planned days with the help of Troy -including zip-lining and the sunrise at Haleakala and bike tour down but saved a few adventures for our next trip to Maui! There are other parts of the world we'd like to see but we definitely would love to return to Maui and stay at your beautiful condo. Mahalo, Jeff and Sharon

Hi Anne, We’re back from our trip to Maui and, as usual, we weren’t ready for our holiday to be over! I just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed your condo and found it very comfortable for 2 couples. The view from the lanai, where we spent many hours whale watching, was great! I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed your condo. Papakea is certainly a beautiful resort and watching the whales was priceless. My son and daughter-in-law had not been to this part of Maui and were very impressed. We sold our house in Indiana and now have to be out by March 20. Maybe I should see if we could rent your condo from March to maybe September:-) I couldn't think of a better place for the next half year! Everything was great and we hope to get to stay there again in the future.

Hi Anne, I apologize for my delay in sending this message, as my family and I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for your condo! We had an absolutely wonderful trip:-) Spent our mornings walking on the boardwalk, afternoons at various beaches or the pool, and evenings relaxing on the Lanai. It was heaven! Our two year old daughter Makenna loved it as well, especially the “shishes” (fishes) in the koi ponds and the aquarium. Your condo had everything we needed, lots of supplies, great layout, perfect location. It was bliss. We will most definitely be booking another visit in Nov 2012, but have already decided to 10 days next year:-) We are thinking Nov 8 – 18 if it is available. Please let us know. Anne and Wes, Once again, thank you SO much for renting us your perfect condo. It couldn't have fit us better. (And just an aside, with all the mirrors, the baby was in heaven!) The view is breath-taking, the accommodations couldn't be more comfortable, and as one added bonus we had a wonderful concert our last night (put on for the owners but enjoyed by us!) Such nostalgia. We had no idea what you were giving up when you talked about "festivities" for the owner, when you allowed us to rent your place anyway. That was incredibly generous of you and we can't thank you enough. We were definitely blessed ... only problem, (which won't surprise you), it was very hard to come home. Thank you again. We just checked in and are getting settled as the sun is setting, everything is beautiful. We will do our best to keep electricity use down, we are generally good about that anyway. The breeze is certainly great, as soon as you open things up you can feel it right away. So far everything is all set, we anticipate everything going smoothly. Aloha, We are wrapping up our stay here at Papakea. It's been fantastic. We love the view from the Lanai whether enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset. In fact, I am writing this from the Lanai. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us. It was exactly as you described if not better. We are so glad we avoided the busier resort areas. My wife thought the refrigerator door alarm was a wonderful feature since I tend to leave thing open around our house. Thank you!! Jae

Aloha Anne and Wes. We had an incredible holiday at your lovely condo and the Papakea. We have been there several times before and have stayed in some very nice condos, but yours is the very nicest. It was so comfortable and the view was great. I have trouble with my neck and back and am always concerned about sleeping in different beds. Your bed was perfect. I have to tell you that I somehow got confused about when we were coming home. I knew we were leaving on the 9th, but thought it was the Tues. Les was emailing our son with the flight no. etc. on Mon. night, and exclaimed, "We aren't going home tomorrow. We have another day!" Well, it was like a free bonus day. If you could have seen the grins on our faces and heard our excitement, you would have thought we won the lottery. We really, really appreciated that last day and went snorkeling three times! We saw many whales and even had a family of whales swimming close by us for quite some time, as we took an evening walk to Black Rock and back. We went just before sunset several times and the sky was just amazing. When I first mentioned to Les that you had said you go all the way there, he thought it was a very long walk, but found out that it wasn't bad and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great exercise after a big dinner and before bed, too. Anne and Wes, we really thank you so much for providing us with such a lovely place to stay. We loved your kitchen and shower. Thanks also for all of the tips about where to go and what to see, as well as the emails and pictures you send on a regular basis. Hi Anne and Wes: I can't believe that it is a week already since we arrived back home from our fabulous vacation in Hawaii. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. There were so many things to see and do. Your condo was perfect for our stay in Maui. The views from the lanai were awesome, and we got some beautiful photos of sunsets to take back with us. We also liked the location of being close to Lahaina which we visited several times. My brother and sister-in-law particularly enjoyed the art galleries, and we did the Friday night walk with them and it was also Chinese New Year's so a real party time. Your condo is lovely and provided all of the amenities that we needed. Using the barbeques by the pool most evening was fun, and we got to meet so many other visitors. The one thing I loved about your place was the keyless door lock system. That was the best ever since we never had to carry around keys or cards to get in and out. What a great idea that was. Thanks again for sharing your 2nd home with us. We will be sure to call on you again when we return to Maui. Mahalo.

Anne and Wes, We really love your condo and the area of Papakea. This was our third trip to Maui and your home was by far the best. We made good use of the poolside grills with fresh fish from the fish market as well as hot dogs for lunch when we just could not pull ourselves away to go out to eat. The staff there is wonderful...so friendly. We followed your footsteps with the trek to Black Rock nearly every day and even walked to Whaler's Village and back one morning. We could see the whales nearly every day from your balcony. First time I had ever seen the full view of the tail. Amazing. Hi Anne, We had a great time. Hopefully it will not take another 5 years before we return. Your unit is really one of the best. The décor and updated showers, etc., excellent. The outdoor furniture was really great. Sitting higher made it easier to see over the rail. Most units still have the short stuff. Thanks.

Hi Anne, We arrived home safe, sound, and tired. Not so much sleep on the night flight. The upside of that, though, was a sleep-in until 8:30 this morning, which we haven't had since before Sophie!!
