This beautiful and luxurious home awaits you in the Luberon valley just below Gordes in the charming village of Joucas. The views over the lavender fields towards Roussillon are incredible and the Chateau of Joucas stands slightly to one side proudly basked in the sunshine.
The entire property is rented throughout the summer months sleeping 12 people.
The "Grande Maison" and the "Pool House" can be rented separately throughout the other months of the year also.
Only 5 minutes from the famous village of Gordes and on the edge of the pretty little village of Joucas this stunning home is the perfect holiday place for two families or a big group in July and August. A romantic get away for two couples or a small family the rest of the year. Joucas is a delightful village set on the hillside with many little lanes and old houses. You will find a restaurant/café, baker shop, Mairie, tennis courts in the village and two Relais Chateaux michelin starred restaurants nearby. Hot air ballooning takes place in the fields just below the village so you will be able to admire the colorful balloon as it rises into the sky.
The "Grande Maison" boasts a spacious lounge with open fireplace, comfortable sofas, wide screen 46" TV, mezzanine with office and small sitting area. The sunny lounge opens out onto the garden and fabulous wooden terrace where you will find a long teak table and chairs under the mulberry tree for outdoor meals and comfortable armchairs for relaxing in the shade. The dining area has a beautiful table that seats 10 to 12 people and the cheerful fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up delicious meals. You will find silver ware and beautiful porcelaine dishes to use. The master bedroom opens out on to the garden and has a very pretty en suite bathroom with angle bathtub, washbasins, WC. Adjacent to the lounge are two other pretty bedrooms, one ideal for children with 2 single beds (plus 2 other pull out singles) and another spacious cool bedroom with double bed and views over the garden. Thes two bedrooms share a bathroom in the hallway with small tub and wall shower, washbasin and WC. Plenty of cupboard space in the villa. Separate WC in entrance hall.
The "Pool House" has two lovely bedrooms with queen-size beds and en suite bathrooms that have washbasins, WC and walk in showers. The spacious sunny lounge and kitchen open out onto a large shady terrace and garden where the pool glistens in the sun. The open plan kitchen is extremely well equipped with even an indoor barbecue. Huge glass doors open completely so that you have a superb view from inside the lounge and kitchen over the gardens and valley. Both bedrooms have TV installed and there are CD's and DVD's.
Teak table and chairs, lounge chairs and coffee table await you on the shaded terrace, the 12 x 6m pool has a jet stream and is heated to 28° all year round. There are many sun loungers to relax in around the pool and gardens and you will find a ping-pong table and hammock in the shadier part of the garden.
This amazing property has been superbly decorated with taste and style and is very private and secluded. You can stroll down into the village of Joucas through the fields below the chateau to buy fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Both houses have separate entrances and the entire property is a haven of tranquility. Twice weekly cleaning, pool and garden maintenance are included in the rental cost.

Hi, Beverly, Thanks again for all your help! We had a great vacation and the house was great. As you know, we loved the house. It is well laid out and beautifully situated, and the views toward Rousillon (and Bonnieux) are gorgeous. Even in the hottest weather, the stone walls and floors and the pool (and the fans) helped keep things cool. The kitchens are well-equipped and the bedroom configurations are very flexible, etc. We would recommend that property (and you!!) wholeheartedly to anyone. It's just a lovely place, and we'll have fond memories for many, many years. Many, many thanks again, to you (and to Samantha) for helping make our vacation so much fun.

The pictures do not do it justice. The recommendation from friends was, amazingly, undersold. Mas de la Valette was the perfect setting for a holiday, for a launching pad to the countless wonders of the Luberon and Provence. Waking up in the morning to the sight of a castle next door, or to the red rock of Rousillon across the valley, was magnificent. The grounds are perfect. The amenities first-class. Mas de la Valette was sensational, the neighbouring village of Joucas a treat. We'll go again in a heartbeat.

Lovely, quaint Provence home located outside Joucas. The view from the pool is breathtaking. The area is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Easy to get to the local markets and wine tasting. Homeowners are lovely people who made us feel exceptionally welcomed. We rented the pool house which is perfect for two people. There is an additional unattached bedroom with full bath which we did not need to use. The pool house is comfortable, nicely appointed and the kitchen has very good appliances for cooking. We appreciated having access to the laundry. We had a wonderful time and would return again.

La petite maison was the perfect place to stay! The house was well stocked, tastefully decorated and offered one of the most fantastic views of the Luberon I have seen. I enjoyed the quiet and charm of Joucas and also the ease of traveling from one village to the next. Evelyne and Sabri are wonderful hosts. The are very kind and helpful and will go out of their way to be sure you are comfortable. Lisa
