Come to unspoilt Grenada and experience the real Caribbean! Tivigny is just 10 minutes' drive from the Grand Anse shopping/restaurant area but feels a world away. Enjoy superb views over Clarke's Court Bay, Hog Island and to sea from every room. The infinity pool perched above the bay has a waterfall edge and 'wet bar' and is fenced with glass balustrades and gated, ideal for families with small children. The living accommodation is extremely spacious for a 3-bedroom villa with 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space to enjoy. Each en-suite bedroom is airy, light and romantic, with louvre doors and windows, polished hardwood floor, ceiling fan, air conditioning and a balcony.
A gourmet kitchen with all appliances offers a sea view, pantry, two fridge freezers and dishwasher, plus a separate freestanding icemaker to keep the drinks flowing even for a large party. The Great Room has a high 'cathedral' ceiling of tropical hardwood rafters, plus 32" LCD TV, home cinema surround system, PC with broadband Internet and Wi-Fi. Outside are shady verandas, a gazebo and courtyard with gas BBQ. Ideal for couples, groups of friends or families. Great for honeymooners - secluded, romantic and intimate. Two minutes' walk down a grassy footpath to a small blacksand beach with private jetty. Motorboat, Hobie Cat and two ocean kayaks included. Golden sand beaches accessible by boat or kayak from the jetty. Good snorkeling right in the bay.
A hire car is useful if you want to explore the island but not essential. Tivigny is down a short country track off a good main road leading to all destinations. Buses and taxis are plentiful. Famous Grand Anse Beach is just ten minutes by road.
Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands, situated in the Caribbean Sea about 150 miles south-west of Barbados and 90 miles north of Trinidad. The climate is warm all year round, with daytime temperatures typically around 82°F (28°C). There is usually a pleasant trade wind breeze. The island was formerly a British colony until granted independence in 1975. Development has been slower on Grenada than on many islands, and the pace of life here remains relaxed and unhurried. The Grenadian people are friendly, outgoing and welcoming to visitors.
Air connections are excellent, with regular flights from London Gatwick, Miami, New York, San Juan, Toronto and Frankfurt.
For those seeking an unspoilt laid-back destination, Grenada has everything to offer: sandy beaches, spectacular rainforest scenery, waterfalls, hiking and all kinds of water sports including snorkelling, diving and sailing. The capital, St George’s, is one of the prettiest and best-preserved towns in the West Indies, with colonial-style brick and gingerbread buildings rising up the hillside behind the busy Carenage lined with fishing boats and trading vessels. A spectacular new marina (Port Louis)attracts a heady mix of millionaires, celebrities and their megayachts particularly in the winter season.
There are plenty of good shops and supermarkets, restaurants in all price ranges and a handful of lively nightspots. Duty-free shopping is available at the Esplanade Mall by the cruise ship dock.

Map & Owner's Profile
Spacious Villa Hideaway, Pool, Sea Views, Boats, Kayaks, Hobie
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Clarke's Court Bay
We didn't buy Tivigny, we built it, starting with a bare hillside covered in bush. We finished and equipped the villa to the standard that we would like if we were on vacation. Every year we close the house to guests in September and October and condust a rigorous maintenance and upgrading program, with the aim of keeping everything looking and working like new.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We love the views, the country sounds of birds, goats and cows, and playing around on and in the water. We have no close neighbours so the house is very private, yet you have a commanding view of all the action in the bay from the veranda.
When you fancy snorkelling, a sail in the Hobie Cat or a gentle paddle in a kayak around the bay, it's all there just for you and only a minute from the house.
The house is very close to all the action in the south of the island. Numerous restaurants are a short drive or taxi ride away. A nearby bus stop means you don't necessarily need a hire car - try the local buses which whiz you into St George's in double-quick time!
Owner's Map of Clarke's Court Bay
Hello! We are Mark and Liz Hankin from Norfolk, England. We sailed to Grenada from Europe in 2000 and immediately fell in love with this beautiful island and its friendly people. We are retired and run our villa (which we built) as a small business. We live nearby on the island for some of the year. We look forward to sharing our island home with you and your family and friends.

One Fantastic Place – Forget the cost this is value for money, particularly if the cost is shared, as in our case, between 2 couples! The property is just a few minutes from St George by car ( jeep desirable as the access road is largely unmade) or taxi, but off the main road in a quiet and secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of the capital. The view overlooking the bay, the villa’s gardens and Hog Island is idyllic. However it is the accommodation itself that has the real wow factor. No expense has been spared or corners cut in providing everything you could want from a holiday retreat. A lot of thought has gone in to the decoration, paintings, design and furnishings. The kitchen has everything a cook could desire (so my wife tells me) and you will not run out of crockery and utensils if you do not use the dishwasher regularly. There is an ice machine to cool those ‘sundowners’. All 3 bedrooms are superb and the lounge a place to chill with a vast range of books, TV, wi-fi and a state of the art sound system with i-pod dock that provides music, if desired, to the pool area. The pc was away for repair when we were there, but no matter at all! Outside there are 3 different areas to relax, the infinity pool with its sun bathing areas, there is an outside covered dining area with hammock, and a gazebo in the back garden with table and chairs. Positioned to catch the sun most of the day, and the sunset, the pool itself is the place you will spend most of your day, and evenings, if you are here to just chill! It has a timed control infinity fall and submerged lighting and an electronic canopy. Ther is even an in-pool bar and barstools – plentiful supply of plastic wineglasses and tumblers. If you do need the sun from sunrise the east facing porch has a 2 seater swing chair. All this is excellently looked after by the housekeeper, who will cook if you wish, and the gardener. At your disposal is a motor boat, kayaks and a sailing dinghy to explore the safe waters of the bay from the villas own jetty. There are plenty of things to do on the island, but you will have to make a real effort to leave the villa, such are its attractions!
