How to describe the beautiful view from La Torre's terrace? The Alhambra, the cathedral, the Albaicin, Sacromonte, the only thing better is to get out and explore this historic, fun neighborhood. Everything you need is there, restaurants, groceries, outdoor market, bakeries, and of course tapas bars and flamenco. The Bar Zoraya is just up the hill and has flamenco every night. The tiny apartment is fine for two people who really like each other and a great place to get to know the Sacromonte neighborhood. Everything in the Albaicin is uphill or downhill so plan accordingly. The street up to the apartment is steep and the taxi doesn't go up so pack light. I found my small rolling suitcase worked fine. Greg is a wonderful host and was always available for help and advise if needed. Granada is lovely, the people are lovely, and I can't wait to go back. I really wanted to get to know Sacromonte and the whole Albaicin and La Torre was the perfect place to start. I can't wait to go back!

We stayed in this studio for 10 days in Nov/Dec 2011. The apartment is clean, tidy and well equipped. Greg, the owner, gave us great tips on what to see, where to buy groceries and nice restaurants in the area. Greg was always available to offer assistance or information the entire time we were there. The patio is definitely the greatest feature of this studio .. the view is spectacular and the warm sunshine and the peace and quite make it a great place to relax with a glass of Spanish wine and your book. We had a fabulous time in Granada and would recommend this apartment to any travellers. Neil & Estelle Warren - Canada

My fiance and I stayed only two nights at this place in the Albaycin. Getting to the location was admittedly a bit of an adventure, but if you follow Greg's information to the letter (a bit of walking is involved and can't really be avoided), you will find it. The first thing you notice when you walk into the apartment is how cozy the place is. It is extremely cozy, but it is perfect for the romantic couple. The place is very tastefully put together and the amenities are quite adequate. I was happy to see the place when I walked in, but then I saw the view of the Alhambra and my jaw dropped. It really is an unbelievable view that really made staying there absolutely worth it. Greg was also really great to talk to and get information about Granada and the Albaycin. Perhaps my only regret in staying at his apartment was that we didn't stay there longer!

We were first a bit overwhelmed by the location up in the hills. The Dutch are not used to climb up the hills! But the reward was fantastic. I've never had such an experience. The Alhambra right in front of us, we stayed in the middle of Albaícin, with the city centre nearby (downhill!). The apartment is cosy and complete. A bit small so you must really like your companion! Every night we stayed in because the view was so amazing, we had fantastic home made salads at the roof terrace and life couldn't get any better. I would reccomend this appartment to people who don't need much luxury and are in to an amazing experience and romantic stay.

Greg and Fina, Thank you so much for a great time. The apartment was "precioso" and "perfecto" for our 4 days in Granada! Of course, the view is INDESCRIBABLE!. We love the Albaicin barrio. The area is rich w/ history & surprise shops, schools and cafes. Count on us returning! Lucia and Patrick Rockwall, Texas

I knew from the picturs and the comments on VRBO that I would like this. What I didn't know, of course, was that I would LOVE this! Everything about the flat-Greg's hospitality (yes, I enjoyed the conversation immensly!) and just experiencing this indescribable city- As I write, the church bells are taking their turns & calling the town. I have fallen in love with Granada.(We don't have church bells at home) I came here alone to present at a conference. Although I needed & much enjoyed this 'solo adventure' the town here is so very romantic - I wished I was not alone-So next time- The Mrs. comes along-and no work-just Granada! I cannot thank you enough, Greg, for making me feel so welcome. You seem to have a very blessed life. I know you cherish it. Well done! Until the next time, Then- Paul Delmar, MD. USA

The apartment is in an excellent location. The view is magnificent. 5-10 minute walk to restaurants/bars/cafes/markets. Make sure you pack light! Nearest Taxi drop off/bus stop is a steep rocky/stone pathway or steep steps (as is classic of the neighborhood) to the apartment. Rolling suitcases not advised. Take an easy overnight bag. The studio apartment is very cozy. Good for a couple who dont require much privacy. Owner, Greg, has great recommendations and ideas about the area. He is available throughout the stay for questions or quick apartment needs/fixes. Location is not the most convenient (if that is what you are looking for) but the quaint neighborhood is great to walk through and enjoy. We would recommend this apartment to friends and family.

La Torre was a perfect place to stay in Granada and well priced for a couple people who want to enjoy the picturesque views of the Alhambra right outside their door and be in easy walking distance of the downtown shops and Plaza Nueva. The owner was especially easy to work with and very accommodating. Very comfortable bed, nice small kitchen, clean and elegant dishware, pleasant temperature indoors and out. The bathroom was a little small and cramped, but the shower was fine. There were also some small ants in a few places, but if you keep the place clean and do your dishes they're not a problem at all. I highly recommend this apartment for a couple who want to spend a wonderful few days in Granada.

The description of the property was outstanding and the owner was always available to answer questions/concerns. The owner was very flexible as our travel plans continuously changed. The apartment is a great location if you like hiking and walking which we did! It is convenient to bus stops or 15-20 minute walks to the city center. The neighborhood around the Calle Panadera was convenient for shopping and the folks there were friendly! We enjoyed everything in Granada during December/January. We even saw the fireworks for New Year's over the Alhambra from the apartment terrace. Otherwise the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Antonio, the taxi driver, is recommended to use for trips with luggage. Because I was able to work online during my 3 weeks in Spain, this location was exceptional. We hope to return!

Small but perfectly formed! We enjoyed a fantastic long weekend at your flat in lovely Granada. I'll never forget stepping out onto the terrace for the first time, and seeing the purple pink glow of the Alhambra Palace set against a velvet sky. We watched a full moon track the sky over the twinkling lights of Granada. Absolutely magic. The friendly welcome and artistic apartment made for a marvelous weekend.

I loved staying here! Sacromonte is mysterious and exotically beautiful, the gypsy counterpoint to the majestic Alhambra. Greg and Fina are gracious hosts and the studio is a cozy haven snuggled into the side of the mountain with a view that is spellbinding. I came to immerse myself in flamenco and Fina delivered a week I will never forget. I look forward to the day I can return.

I had the pleasure of staying at Albacin Studio for a one week, while vacationing and visiting the caves of Sacramonte, the region from which my grandfather came. The Albacin was perfect, providing easy access to this region, as well as to the city of Granada. Day or night, the view from the studio's patio was spectacular. As well, the kitchenette provided me with the opportunity to cook my own meals, when I choose. I highly recommend the Albaicin to anyone who is considering a stay.

La Torre is literally heaven on earth. The Alhambra is my night light. The full view of Granada spreads out into a giant valley that is just a 15 minute downhill walk to Gran Vie's shops and theaters. There is no single word that describes the wonders of La Torre. It is everything one imagines a visit to Spain ought to be.

Staying in this apartment was the highlight of our trip to Spain. The view cannot be beat. Especially to sit on the patio at night and view the Alhambra all lit up was simply magical. The neighborhood itself is so incredibly charming and historic, and you get a bonus workout just walking to the market. Highly recommended!!!
