Beach Retreat is a wonderful, quiet home for family gatherings, Thanksgiving and other special occasions. The atmosphere of this home is casual and relaxed, set in the dunes and the beach pines, with its own walking path to the beach.
This great home has room enough for up to 10 people. There’s one bedroom near the kitchen, with a queen bed. The rest of the bedrooms are all on the southern end of the house. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own door out to the ocean view deck, and there’s a full bath off the master too. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the remaining two bedrooms have full beds. There’s two full baths in the hallway adjacent to these bedrooms. The living room / dining room is a large open room with a wood fireplace. The dining room has a large table, and a view of the dunes and the water. There's a desk near the kitchen (if you have to work) and wireless internet too. Adjacent to the dining room are French doors into the family room with a big screen TV and VCR/DVD. On the other side of the dining room is the kitchen -- a well-stocked galley style, with the laundry room next door. The deck in the back yard features a covered gazebo and a gas barbeque for your use. There’s plenty of parking with room for 2 cars near the house and up to 3 more in the lower parking area.
There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. Long Beach is about 5 miles to the south. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. There’s miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are nearby.
Just a couple more miles south are Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants that you can buy. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.
If you drive north from the house about 4 ½ miles to Ocean Park there are bookstores, restaurants and gift stores and more beaches to explore. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.
A secluded location with nothing but the dunes between you and the beach – that’s the beauty of the Beach Retreat. ‘Retreat’ here for your next beach vacation!

Summer rates: June 1-Sep 15 .. $285/night .. $1710/week. 2 night minimum
1-time cleaning fee $96; 9.8% tax (rent+CF); $250 ref. security dep. required.
50% of total due when booking; balance due 15 days prior to arrival.
2-night minimum; major holiday weekends &festivals are 3-night minimum (see below)

Kite Festival is a 7-night minimum.
