Barton Cottage has been polished to meet today’s standard of living but in the process of getting the house ready for you, we took care to not to destroy the home’s architectural interest. You’ll still find the original wood window casings, a charming front porch complete with summertime glider bench and old sycamore tree.
And we promise you will be charmed by the original ship-lap wood walls of the back porch that leads you out to our cottage garden. This home offers an open-concept space for entertaining balanced with private spaces for kicking back.
Relaxed comfort is our priority throughout the house. Experience the simplicity of a bygone era. We’ve put the kettle on the stove anticipating your visit!
PLENTY OF COMMON AND PRIVATE SPACE MAKES FOR A MORE ENJOYABLE VACATION
• Sleeps 8 with 2 Queen Beds, 2 Twin beds and a fold down sofa (there’s plenty of room to add an extra air bed or two)
• Upstairs parlor for game playing, reading or just hanging out. A fold down sofa is located in this room for added privacy if you use it as a sleeping space
• Two bathrooms. One tub/ shower bath combination and one bath with a shower and dressing area. Personal totes for person items, plenty of towel hanging space and drawers are available in both baths
• Kitchen fully equipped for large or small meal preparation. Cupboard space is readily available for your food items. Also, we think a coffee bean grinder is a must have so you don’t have to pack your own.
• Charcoal grill to please our BBQ aficionados
• Large front entry closet with plenty of shelf and hanging storage
• Exercise room equipped with a commercial Nordic Track Recumbent Bike with IPOD & most MP3 Players. Located in the wine cellar, even your workouts will get you in the wine country spirit!
• CD player for great-room music listening and a portable unit to move your music with you wherever you please. Be sure to bring your favorite CD’s and DVD’s for your downtime pleasure.
• Wood burning fireplace. We provide a DuraFlame log for each night of your stay to make your evenings cozier
• Off-street parking is easy with alley access to three outside parking spaces

Why the Owner Chose Walla Walla
This house was very reminiscent of the homes that are in Ashland, Oregon where I vacationed as a child. Being in the wine country, in a home that recalls the past was the perfect combination for me!
The Unique Benefits at this Vacation Rental
The location close to town was important to me because even if you are in a large group of people each individual is free to 'do their own thing' and not depend on taking a car to explore the town at your own pace.
A six block stroll to this first class restaurant is perfect on a summer's night!
Many wine tasting rooms and shopping is within blocks of Barton Cottage!
