Need to get away? Check yourself into our Moose Cabin. Then curl up with a good book in front of the window overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. In the summer, wander out to the deck to sip your coffee and search for the local wildlife that frequents the property.
Spend a fun-filled day skiing, snowshoeing or browsing the shops in Grand Lake. How about sledding or cross country skiing with your family? This cabin is the ideal place for you to make those special memories that will last a lifetime. Have fun hanging out together and getting away from it all - enjoy board games, doing a puzzle, or just relaxing in the laid back Colorado mountains.
Have lunch or dinner in one of the many fine local restaurants. Perhaps you will decide to explore the night life in the valley, or maybe a relaxing evening at home is in order. The full kitchen has everything you need to make a wonderful home-cooked meal.
Ready for bed? Climb up the spiral staircase to the loft with a Queen size bed. It is a beautiful retreat at the top of the cabin with a bed worthy of sleeping late. The kids get their own space in the Clubhouse downstairs - complete with a bunkbed, Mr. Bear, games, and a glow-in-the-dark starry ceiling.
*This cabin was renovated in January 2009. We have added a gorgeous pine ceiling, new carpet, all new furniture, and many special touches to make it your home away from home. We believe the Moose Cabin to be a comfortable, relaxing retreat and base of operations for your explorations of Grand County.
**We also own the Star Cabin #111297. Rent one or both cabins! They are on the same 1/2 acre, and make a great place for two families to stay.***

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
We love the Grand Lake area and all of the outdoor activities it offers. We especially enjoy relaxing at the cabin when we are not going up to work! As lovely as the cabin is, we are always making improvements. We figure if we are comfortable there, our guests will be as well.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Lake
Skiing, hiking, wildlife, views, fishing, boating, snowshoeing, and Rocky Mountain
National Park! We really love to get out of the city and kick back in the mountains.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
5/09: Recently, a gorgeous moose wandered across our property. We quietly trailed it, taking many pictures. What a huge animal - we certainly kept our distance! We've observed elk while eating out on the deck.
The winter snowfalls are amazing. We had 3 feet out in the yard this winter! The summers are cooler than in Boulder, and we can see far more stars!

Cabin With a (Wow) View

My wife and 2 young children spent 4 wonderful nights at Moose Cabin. If you are a lover of mountains, you will want to experience Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). Grand Lake, CO is a great vantage point: view of RMNP from the west, lake is pretty every morning, and this cozy cabin is clean, comfortable, and has great space for a family of 4. Moose Cabin will be remembered for my kids saying "When will we get to the bunk beds?". Nicely maintained and appointed. Don't forget to get up before dawn and look at the Rocky Mountain Night Sky - a sight everyone should see more than once.

Just got back from "Moose Cabin." We stayed 3 nights. We hiked, we boated, we go-carted, we "mini-golfed!" We saw amazing waterfalls, breathtaking mountains, beautiful lakes, and of course, many MOOSE!! Some right outside our cabin! We also saw fox, deer and adorable chipmunks. We roasted marshmallows almost every night. Ate home cooked lunches and dinners on the deck! Played games, told stories and completely enjoyed the pace at Grand Lake. We would highly recommend Moose Cabin! It was very, very clean and it's decor is absolutely adorable. The kids loved the big, big bear, the smaller black bear, and the moose you can ride on. They also had a fun time trying to count how many moose the cabin is decorated with - they lost count at 63. Thanks Angie and Bob! July 24-July 27, 2011

We had a wonderful time in Moose Cabin. It's very homey, and has a great view. It's close to the town of Grand Lake and there are lots of fun things to do-boating, ATV rental, hiking, shopping, sightseeing. The owners provided us with lots of helpful information about the area. The cabin is so clean and cozy. We enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to leave.

Very nice cabin! We had a good time snowshoeing in RMNP. No Moose... (except for the decorations in the cabin!) The amount of snow was amazing! We loved the time we spent at the cabin and in Grand Lake. Thank you!

without the kids but we are thinking that we'll be back with them next time. We grilled on the deck and had steaks with the best view in Grand Lake :) . The cabin was nicely appointed and we joked about the moose details, from light switches to basket cozy - you really put in time and effort to make Moose Cabin comfy and unforgettable.
