Then curl up with a good book in front of the window overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. In the summer, wander out to the deck to sip your coffee and search for the local wildlife that frequents the property.
Climb up the spiral staircase to the loft with a Queen size bed. It is a beautiful retreat at the top of the cabin with a bed worthy of sleeping late. The kids get their own space in the Clubhouse downstairs - complete with a bunkbed, Mr. Bear, games, and a glow-in-the-dark starry ceiling.
***This cabin was renovated in January 2009. We have added a gorgeous pine ceiling, new carpet, all new furniture, and many fun decorating touches. We believe the Moose Cabin to be a comfortable, relaxing retreat and base of operations for your explorations of Grand County.***
**We also own the Star Cabin #183295. Rent one or both cabins! They are on the same 1/2 acre, both private, but make a great place for two families to stay.

the blessing of your wonderful cabin! :D If "mud season" here is this lovely, it's hard to imagine what the "on season" of the year is like! The magic of the December day Isaac proposed was brilliantly recalled to us by the eight or so inches of snow that fell around us during our stay (on the first day of May, no less)! Our disappointment over animal-sighting at RMNP (Isaac thinks he saw one bird!) was resoundingly counteracted when, on our last evening here at the Moose Cabin, a trip outside brought us in contact with two moose gazing in the pond just a few feel away from the deck! Spent several days snow skiing at Sol Vista (Granby Ranch). Enjoyed shopping in Grand Lake, riding up into the park, tubing at the Golf Course. Also enjoyed the indoor water park at Fraser. here at Moose Cabin, and want to return with friends or family. We just fell in love with the place – A+ for location, A+ for the cute and cozy decor, A+ for recreation, C- for toilet paper. We really enjoyed learning the game backgammon, and drinking coffee in the morning while enjoying the majestic view. Very peaceful. ***Owners' Reply - We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay so much, but will admit that the low grade on toilet paper is a first! Moose cabin was a lovely place to stay while visiting Colorado. The view from the front porch and living room is amazing. You can see shadow lake and a mountain scene that would make the best postcard. The lake was freezing over so that the ice glimmered as the sun rose above the mountains. The cabin was cozy and quaint. It had all the amenities we needed with close proximity to town. The town was also amazing. We look forward to visiting Moose Cabin and Grand Lake as soon as possible. your Moose Cabin with us. It has always been my dream to live in a cabin and sleep in a loft. Well, my dream came true for the weekend. Got to share it with my 2 grandsons; they are 6 and 3. They had a blast. My daughter Lisa and her husband Randy found the cabin for my birthday present. It was awesome. The cabin is perfect and very homey. I hope we can come back sometime soon. Soon as we got in, we were welcomed by the biggest rod fox we have ever seen!!! He’s been our buddy all week. Along with the fox, we saw mule deer, bear tracks, a bald eagle, red tail hawks, magpies, ravens, chipmunks, squirrels, countless elk, and just when we thought we weren’t going to see a moose, we ran into 3 of them on a trail (bull, cow and calf). The cow who decided she had had enough of us taking pictures, decided to charge us! Lucky for us, there were trees to hide behind. What a wonderful place this is! About the owner: We love the Grand Lake area and all of the outdoor activities it offers. We especially enjoy relaxing at the cabin when we are not going up to work! As lovely as the cabin is, we are always making improvements. We figure if we are comfortable there, our guests will be as well.
