Moose Cabin was the perfect place to stay for a few days of hiking and relaxation in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). The location was perfect, close to downtown Grand Lake and the entrance to RMNP. We were able to cook all of our meals in the cabin with groceries purchased in Grand Lake and nearby Granby. The cabin was extremely comfortable, charming, and thoughtfully appointed.

My wife and 2 young children spent 4 wonderful nights at Moose Cabin. If you are a lover of mountains, you will want to experience Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). Grand Lake, CO is a great vantage point: view of RMNP from the west, lake is pretty every morning, and this cozy cabin is clean, comfortable, and has great space for a family of 4. Moose Cabin will be remembered for my kids saying "When will we get to the bunk beds?". Nicely maintained and appointed. Don't forget to get up before dawn and look at the Rocky Mountain Night Sky - a sight everyone should see more than once.

We had a wonderful time in Moose Cabin. It's very homey, and has a great view. It's close to the town of Grand Lake and there are lots of fun things to do-boating, ATV rental, hiking, shopping, sightseeing. The owners provided us with lots of helpful information about the area. The cabin is so clean and cozy. We enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to leave.

Just got back from "Moose Cabin." We stayed 3 nights. We hiked, we boated, we go-carted, we "mini-golfed!" We saw amazing waterfalls, breathtaking mountains, beautiful lakes, and of course, many MOOSE!! Some right outside our cabin! We also saw fox, deer and adorable chipmunks. We roasted marshmallows almost every night. Ate home cooked lunches and dinners on the deck! Played games, told stories and completely enjoyed the pace at Grand Lake. We would highly recommend Moose Cabin! It was very, very clean and it's decor is absolutely adorable. The kids loved the big, big bear, the smaller black bear, and the moose you can ride on. They also had a fun time trying to count how many moose the cabin is decorated with - they lost count at 63. Thanks Angie and Bob! July 24-July 27, 2011

Very nice cabin! We had a good time snowshoeing in RMNP. No Moose... (except for the decorations in the cabin!) The amount of snow was amazing! We loved the time we spent at the cabin and in Grand Lake. Thank you!

We absolutely loved the cabin and had a great time there. It feels very homey with a lot of personal touch to it and it was very clean and well maintained. The lake and mountain view is priceless. If your children are very young (ours are 3 and 1 year old) there are a few things you need to be aware of: The cabin has steep stairs (we blocked them with a chair), the kids room has bunk beds (the ladder is removable) and there is a well/small pond on the property. There owners also don't offer a highchair or a travel bed for rent so be prepared. We knew all of those things and would still have chosen the cabin for our vacation. We really enjoyed the town of Grand Lake. We went in early October, so a lot of the things that are available in the summer were already closed (putt putt golf, paddle boats...) but most stores and restaurants were still open. There is also a big playground in the middle of the town and a sand beach area which our kids really enjoyed. The very close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park is great and we spent most of our time there. Winter Park is only 40 minutes away and Steamboat Springs is worth taking a day trip to. We would recommend this cabin to anyone!

This cabin is what the friendly and helpful owners say it will be: Clean, well equipped and well maintained. The views are fabulous. It's close to plenty of mountain and lake activities. We especially enjoyed grilling on the deck with the views of yellow aspen on the mountains across the lake. The hosts make it easy to book the lodging and give you plenty of information about the cabin and the area to make your stay easy and enjoyable. We recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to be close to Grand Lake without the crowds.

Great getaway for a couple or small family. Just a few miles from the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and minutes from downtown Grand Lake. Cabin is clean and comfortable with a great view of Shadow Mountain Lake. You can hike in RMNP, shop in Grand Lake or just relax and enjoy the view.

without the kids but we are thinking that we'll be back with them next time. We grilled on the deck and had steaks with the best view in Grand Lake :) . The cabin was nicely appointed and we joked about the moose details, from light switches to basket cozy - you really put in time and effort to make Moose Cabin comfy and unforgettable.

The cabin was in pristine condition and was the perfect getaway. The owners are personable and easy to get in contact with and provided good customer service. We already have and will continue to recommend this property to others...so long as they agree to visit at a different time of there year than us. As for Grand Lake, it in my wife's blood...so obviously it was amazing. We will be back.

The Moose Cabin was so comfortable, we felt at home. Angie has thought of everything. The decor is just perfect. We enjoyed the natural environment on the property; it is great for wildlife and birds. We made several trips to Rocky Mountaln National Park; it is so close! We saw sooooo much wildlife on our outings: moose, elk, an osprey and chicks, white pelicans (in the lake ), coopers hawk ( in the front yard ), chipmunks, ground squirrels, and numerous birds. We cannot express how great our time in this cabin was !!! Thank You!!

We stayed in the Moose Cabin for 4 nights and it was wonderful! We have rented homes before for vacations and this property was exceptional. The description and write up of the cabin was true to form. It was refreshing to arrive and have our expectations exceeded. The owners were very helpful and responsive to our questions. If we vacation again in Grand Lake we will definitely try to reserve this property.

We enjoyed our stay at the Moose Cabin and the Grand Lake/RMNP area. We saw 2 moose, up close, our first night around Shadow Mountain Lake Trail. We enjoyed hiking the Colorado River Trail, the Bear Lake area trails, some local hikes to the falls and beyond. Our last day we left from Longs Peak TH and hiked to Chasm Lake - a great hike! It was nice to come back at night and relax, the fire was great, the place comfortable.

We loved our week spent at the Moose cabin. It is by far one of the best cabins we've stayed in from all the summer vacations we've taken! The boys loved their room and the animal friends waiting for them. The Moose cabin was beautiful, clean and the perfect size for our family of 4. We loved sitting on the deck each morning to watch the sunrise over the mountains and lake. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials to cook a meal. The fire pit was fun to sit around at night and look at the stars. Thank you for sharing your piece of Colorado to help make our vacation a wonderful memory! We look forward to visiting again soon. Our Sincere Thanks,

My 4-yo son and I stayed at the Moose Cabin for a week in early June. The setting is glorious, and the cabin is nicely furnished and well equipped in every respect. The name is apt, because we were regularly visited by a moose on several days, including the day of our arrival. The charming village of Grand Lake is just down the road (be sure to visit Grand Lake Brewing Co. for terrific pizza and microbrews, and Lilliputt for mini-golf), and Rocky Mtn National Park just a bit further to the east. Highly recommended!

Our family of four stayed at Moose Cabin in August 2009. This cozy, clean, well-maintained cabin has everything you will need while you are away from home. We particularly loved the fabulous views from the deck! At first, we were a little concerned about the nearby motel and highway but we found the location to be very peaceful. It was a pleasure to work with the organized and efficient owners.

My husband and I wanted a quiet location to use as a home base for daily excursions. The Moose Cabin fit our needs perfectly. The livingroom view of Shadow Mountain Lake was so peaceful as we watched swallows, pelicans, and more. The Moose Cabin is close enough to Grand Lake, CO, to meet basic needs, but comfortably distant from the main tourist district. The drive to Rocky Mountain National Park is very convenient. Look for wildlife all around the community! The Moose Cabin is a cozy little escape with all the comforts of home (right down to the plush recliner sofa and spare slippers). The owners' attention to details in the cabin and through their direct customer service was greatly appreciated.
